Just Add Ink #458 | Just Add "Q-X-Y-Z"

Hello stamping friends! It's Friday again and we have another challenge for you at Just Add Ink #458 | Just Add "Q-X-Y-Z".  Choose just one of the letters from this weeks challenge and use that as your theme for your card. It could be a stamp set or colour or even a fancy fold that starts with that letter.

I don't have any stamp sets that start with any of the chosen letters and I thought about using the colour yellow for my card, I wasn't sold on any of those ideas. I then went to my favourite place for tutorials and techniques, Splitcoast Stampers, and had a look at the tutorials on there for anything that came under this weeks challenge letters. While searching there I came across a Z-Fold card, perfect for the challenge.

I've used some new Stampin' Up products that are currently on preorder for Stampin' Up! demonstrators at the moment but customers can purchase come June 4th 2019. Make sure that this set goes on your wish list because its stunning!!!  The stamp set is the new Bloom & Grow stamp set and this it teamed up with some new ribbon and some of the new 2019 - 2021 Stampin' Up! In Colors - Prefect Peacock and Purple Posy.

The Z-fold of the card is a very easy variation of the Z-Fold card. Fold your cardstock in half like a normal card and then score the front panel in half  and fold this half back to the first fold line to create the 'Z'. 

So for my card the measurements are

1. Card base layer 10.5cm x 29.7 (Half an A4 piece of cardstock cut length ways)

2. Score at 7.4cm and 14.8 cm and fold and burnish with a bone folder to smooth the crease lines. 

3. Add DSP to the card base panels.

4. Add the cardfront panel to the 'Z' fold, applying adhesive to the left side of the panel only.

5. Add some stamping, ribbon, embellishments and a panel on the inside to write your personal message, and your card is done.

For my card front panel I heat embossed some Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder with some of the floral images from the Bloom & Grow Stamp Set, on water colour paper, and then used Blackberry Bliss. Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather and Old Olive to water colour the image, using an Aqua Painter to pick up the ink out of the lid of the Stampin' Up! ink pad.

The card was then finished off with some new ribbons - Pretty Peacock Scalloped Linen Ribbon , Very Vanilla Scalloped Lace trim and some Purple Posy In Color Faceted Dots. The sentiment is also Gold Stampin' Emboss powder, heat embossed on Purple Posy cardstock.

I'm just loving this Pretty Peacock and Purple Posy colour combo. It's so gorgeous! I can't wait to try this combo on other projects. Its stunning!
