Card Swap time again!

I have mentioned before that I'm part of a group on Facebook called Stampin' Up! Card Swap. It is a monthly card swap with people all over the world. You make a card for a different person each month and you get one in return. It is a really great way to get different ideas on card making. If you would like to join the group click here and 'Like' the Facebook page and join in the fun.

Anyway enough of the rambling, here is my card for this months swap.

I really do love how this one turned out. I did have something completely different in mind to make but after a bit of playing around and tweaking I ended up with this. This one is off to Canada as we speak!

Up, Up and Away

I've had this set for ages and really used it.When I first saw it in the Stampin' Up! current catalogue I fell in love with it. When I ordered it and the got it home, it just sat on, my shelf because I wasn't quite sure what to do with it.

This was my first play around with it and also with the Cloud Sponging Background technique. I'm quite please with the result and I hope you are too.

Need for Speed

I don't do boys cards very well. I have probably said it before but it is so easy to do a female card, stamp a pretty image, add some ribbon, buttons and a bit of sparkle and hey presto a pretty girls card. But on a boys card take all those 'pretty' elements away and I always feel that the boys cards that I make are 'naked'.

I have made this one for my nephew in Western Australia.

I added a few silver brads for another element to the card. Hope my nephew likes it. Better get it in the post now so it can reach him before Monday.

Lace Ribbon Border Punch CASE

I loved the Lace Ribbon Border Punch Card that I made last week. I loved the simplicity of the card but the more I thought about it the more I wanted to re-do the card and add a few more elements and CASE myself.

Here is the original card...

And here is the one with some added elements...

I used some of the beautiful Twitterpated DSP and a layer of Blushing Bride on the back ground. I also added some Victoria Crochet Trim under the pleated satin ribbon.

Lace Ribbon Border Punch Birthday

I have it that all of my sister-in-laws have their birthday all within a week or two of mine. Makes it easy not to forget them when they are all so close together. This is one of them that is currently on it's way to it's destination and hopefully it should be there today.

I love the simplicity of the colour combination but also the prettiness of it too. And yes the pleated satin ribbon has come out again! LOL! I do really like it! If you haven't already guessed that!

For Emmeline

Yay! I'm an aunty again! There have been 2 babies added to the family in the last month, both being girls. The boys seem to out number the girls on both sides of the family so it is great to add some more girls to each side.

This card is for Emmeline Grace.

I saw this idea somewhere and I can't remember where I saw it but I loved it. It is such a cute idea made from the 'dress' from the Owl builder punch. I love that the Stampin' Up! punches have more than one use. Makes them so versatile and well worth the money!

Owl Punch Birthday 2

I've had a few kids birthdays in the last few week. I so loved the Owl Punch Birthday card I made a few weeks ago, I decided to CASE myself. CASE in the crafting world means to Copy And Share Everything. If you love someones creations and want to CASE them yourself, acknowledge the creative achievements of crafter you love and then please ask them if can CASE their work. Most crafters see this as a huge form of flattery and happily say 'Go ahead'.  Also when you do show others the creation that you have CASE ed acknowledge where you got it from.

I loved the way this owl turned out the last time,I just had to do it again. I used Perfect Plum, Whisper White, Crumb Cake and a touch of Silver Glimmer Paper for the party hat.

Thanks for looking!

Cupcake Birthday

This is one of those punches that love but I haven't pulled it out for a while. It is so cute and creates gorgeous cupcakes.

I've used the colour combo Crumb Cake, Blushing Bride and Regal Rose. Who doesn't love some cupcakes for their birthday?

Just a note I'm sorry for the quality of the image. We have just changed computers. Kids, drinks and computers don't mix! LOL! So with that we are still trying to figure out how to get all the programs off the old computer hard drive to the new one. The photo editing program is one of them.  I will change the photo over when it is all figured out.
