Punch Art Flowers

Who loves Punch Art? I do! It makes the Stampin' Up! punches so versatile than what they were actually intended for. I'm also blown away by some of the ideas other crafters have to use punches in a different way. Often I'm saying when I see Punch Art creations "How did they think of using that punch that way?"

I my most recent class I wanted to show attendees different ways of making flowers. We had 4 different techniques and this was one of the ways we made a flower.

I must say that this idea is not my own and I have CASEd it from somewhere on the Internet. I just love the simplicity of it and also how simple it was.

It's just layers of circle punches with sections randomly sniped out and then the edges sponged with the same colour ink as the card stock to give it some definition.

In Colour Bows.

Who uses the Internet for some creative inspiration? I do! Sometimes when I'm in a card making lull I turn my friend Google or Pinterest to get the creative juices flowing!

I saw this card on Pinterest and thought I can re-create that with the new In Colours due to come out in our new Annual Catalogue, starting 2nd July.

This is the card I saw on Pinterest...

And this is my version.

I've just learnt how to make these fabulous bows! They are so easy. Will have to show you how in my next post! So loving the new In Colours! Can't wait for you all to see them too!

Mosaic Madness and 2013 - 2015 In Colours Sneak Peak

Who loves seeing the new catalogue products? I love the anticipation, excitement and build-up leading up to the release of the new Stampin' Up! Catalogues each year! I also love that being an Independent Stampin' Up! demonstrator we get to pre-order and play with some of these products before the general public get to see them!

One of these pre-order stamp sets is 'Mosaic Madness'. I love this new and modern set and it also has a co-ordinating punch and Embossing Folder to use in our Big Shot Die Cutting machine.

While I'm not allowed to show you the actual products till the new catalogue is officially released and am allowed to show you the creations I have made with these products.

This is the my first play around with Mosaic Madness. While I'm not entirely happy about the card, (didn't know where to put the sentiment but I don't really like it there) I loved playing with the new stuff!

I've also used the new 2013 - 2015 In Colours too! I'm already in love with these!

I love the names too! Baked Brown Sugar, Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding and Strawberry Slush. Makes me hungry reading all those names!

WASHI!!!!!!!!!!

Do you love a product that is so simple to use but really makes a WOW statement? I do and I think I have found just the Stampin' Up! product that will do just that! Washi Tape! This was my first play around with it and I'M LOVING IT!

I made some customer Thank You cards and I wanted to do something that was quick as I had to make a few of them! So what I did is layer a few strips of the Epic Day This and That Washi Tape (you don't even have to cut it, you can just rip it), spritzed some Vanilla Smooch Spritz stamped and adhered my sentiment and hey presto my card was done! How easy was that!

Two By Two Baby

Who doesn't love the cuteness of baby cards? I especially love this stamp for baby cards but it's one the retired list *sob, sob*

Two By Two #126788

I made this card a while ago and forgot I had it. It is about to be sent up to Canberra to some friends of ours that have just had their first baby, a boy!

I don't usually post pictures with retired products but I really wanted to show you this cute card!

The button, satin ribbon and the DSP were from Stampin' Up!'s recent Sale-a-bration promotion.
I thought the pattern on the DSP lended itself to looking like water/waves.

I'm a bit of a fan of water colouring also. Just needs a little practice and patience!

If you want to get this stamp before it's gone place an order with me on my online store before June 30th (Australian Residents Only). Cause when it's gone it's GONE!

Get Well ...

Do you have a new favourite Stampin' Up! product? I do and guess what it is? ....Vanilla Smooch Spritz! At the recent South Pacific Stampin' Up! Convention in Brisbane, Shelli Gardener CEO and Co-Founder showed us some of her cards that she had made and nearly every one of them had some Smooch Spritz on it.

I decided to get some and give it a go and here is the result of my first attempt with some Smooch Spritz!

I just love the subtle shimmer and sparkle that it gives without being too OTT!

Ooh! So sparkly!
Let's hope this cheers up the recipient cause she has had a really tough time with her health lately!

Blue Ribbon Boys Birthday

Do you have trouble making boys/male cards? I know I do. I've said it before and I'll probably say it again. I love to embellish and make girls cards pretty, add some glitter here, a bit of ribbon there,  some jewels or pearls. But with out all those things on the male cards they just seem a little..flat.

I still try and make them and here is my latest attempt at a male card.

I went to the Stampin' Up! colour coach to find some boy colours. The suggestion was Real Red, Tempting Turquoise and Whisper White. To make the background I stuck strips of the 3 colours on to some cardstock and then ran it through the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine using the Chevron Embossing Folder.

Till my next attempt at a male card!
