Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop | Country Club Suite

Hello again stamping friends. Welcome to this month's edition of the Stamapin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop. This month we are creating projects with the Country Club Suite or the Mountain Air Bundle or as some have done, combined them both together.

International readers please use the translate feature, found in the side bar, to translate to your language.

The Country Club Suite is perfect for the classy sports person in your life, male or female. Hit a hole in one with this suite, straight from the clubhouse! The Country Club Suite Bundle is by par the best lineup of sophisticated golfing style - complete with argyle. Tee off with the rubber stamps and coordinating dies to cut out all the perfect elements fore your golfing cards. Team up the Country Club Suite with the Mountain Air Bundle to complete the outdoor look.

I went for a layered look to my projects today using the Clubhouse Cling Stamp Set, Gold Clube Dies, Majestic Mountain Dies, Country Club Designer Series Paper and the Country Club Elements while using the Basic Black, Smoky Slate, Garden Green and Whisper White colour combination, which all can be found in the Designer Series Paper.

Click on the colour name to see all the Stampin' Up! products in each colour.

For my first card I've started with a Whisper White bass and then layered on that some Basic Black cardstock and some of the Country Club Designer Series Paper. I've that I've then splattered the Smoky Slate Stampin' Write Marker for some fun interest. Layered over that is a piece of Whisper White cardstock embossed with the Absolutely Argyle 3D Embossing Folder. How good does it look? Loving this embossing folder.

I've then layered over that the die cut tree from the Majestic Mountain Dies, the golf ball from the Gold Club Dies, some of the Country Club Elements, some more of the Country Club DSP and the Happy Birthday from the Clubhouse Cling Stamp Set. Am loving the colour contrast of the natural Country Club Elements against the Basic Black and the Garden Green. Just gorgeous!

My second card uses all the same products in a different layout. Again,  I've started with the Whisper White cardstock base layer. I've then layered Garden Green, Basic Black and then Whisper White again. I repeatedly stamped Happy Birthday across the Whisper White layer using Smoky Slate Classic Ink. To get the variation in colour on the Happy Birthday I restamped the sentiment 2 and 3 times without reinking the stamp. I've then splattered the Smoky Slate Stampin' Write marker over the cardstock layer and then embossed it with the Absolutely Argyle 3D Embossing Folder.

I've then layered the scalloped circle and the stitched DSP circle over the embossed Whisper White layer and then finished off the card with the stamped image, the die cuts and the natural wood looking
Country Club Elements.

I do hope that I've given you some inspiration with the Country Club Suite. I know that when you start creating with it you will love it.

Stampin' Fancy Friday | Fancy Folds

The challenge for this month for the Stampin' Fancy Friday Design Team is - Fancy Folds. I do love a good fancy fold but I always forget to make them. I've got a different fancy fold for you today called the Diamond Fold Card but I've made it in reverse. Just to change it up for you.

Like most tutorials and for today's fancy fold that I'm showing you, I find Splitcoast Stampers most especially helpful for showing me how to do some of the more intricate fancy fold cards. The tutorial for my card today can be found HERE.

I've started with a Soft Suede card base and trimmed and scored it as per the tutorial using my Paper Trimmer and Simply Scored Scoring Board. I've then layered panels of Shimmery White and the Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper on the front and as well as on the inside. Since the pattern in this sheet of DSP ran Vertical I made sure that all the pieces were running straight up and down when adhering them to the card. Making sure that the pattern is running the same way in all the pieces makes for a neat and well finished look. Or it could be my slight OCD about these things coming out. Ha! Whatever it is, it makes it all look well put together.

The diamond panel on the inside I've layered with two pieces of Shimmery White cardstock and then used some of the stickers from the Tropical Oasis Memories and More Card Pack.

To hold the card closed I made a fun belly band with Soft Suede cardstock and embossed it with the Coastal Weave 3D Embossing folder. I've then layered pieces that I've fussy cut out from the Tropical Oasis Memories and More Card Pack along with some of the coordinating stickers. I've also layered as well, some of the Braided Burlap Trim and some of the gorgeous Tropical Oasis Trinkets. How fun and summery do all these products make you feel??!! Don't you just love them??!!

I do hope that you'll check out the tutorial for this Fancy Fold card and give it a go and check out some of the other Fancy Fold ideas that the rest of the design team have made on the Stampin' Fancy Friday Instagram Account. This is where all their creations will be shared throughout the month so, make sure that you are following them to get all of the amazing ideas!

These are my projects from the first hop we had using this suite, which you can see all the details about these here. How beautiful is the large floral image and when teamed with the gorgeous ribbon and gold embellishments the suite is just AMAZING!!!!!

While I went for a softer look with my first projects from the first hop, I've teamed the products with the Ornate Garden Suite with Basic Black for a bold, modern look but still using the large floral image as the main focus of all my projects.

My first card uses a piece of the gorgeous Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper, with the Mint Macaron ad Gold Foil colour combo, down the side and then layered with a piece of Gold Glimmer Paper die cut with the Ornate Borders Dies.

I've partially stamped the floral image on Shimmery White Cardstock using Versamark Ink and then heat embossed the image with Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder. I love embossing my images before I watercolour them. The embossing almost acts like a barrier to hold the colour in so it doesn't go everywhere when watercolouring. I've finished off this card with some of the Gilded Gems, Terracotta Tile Ribbon, Linen Thread and the 'Thanks' sentiment from the Ornate Thanks Stamp Set.

My second card uses all of the same elements, but changed up for a different look. I've again started with a Basic Black cardstock base and the Mint Macaron and Gold Foil pattern from the Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper. Next is the Ornate Layer 'Frame' in Basic Black. I've cut the centre out using the Stitched Rectangle Dies which fit perfectly inside the Ornatle Layer Dies.

Again, I've embossed the image with Gold Stampin Emboss Powder on Shimmery White Cardstock and watercoloured the image using an Aqua Painter and Mossy Meadow, Crushed Curry, Blushing Bride, Flirty Flamingo and Calypso Coral Classic Inks.

Again finished off with Linen Thread, Terracotta Tile Ribbon, Gilded Gems and the Thanks Sentimen from the Ornate Thanks Stamp Set.

With so many products and so much versatility, the possibilities are endless as to what you can create. You are only limited by your imagination!
Now on to the super creative Stesha Bloodhart in the U.S. with her Ornate Garden creations. Here projects are amazing and really give another gorgeous idea to using this suite!
There are so many amazing projects with these new products. I'm sure someones creative style will help to the creative ideas flowing. I hope that you take the time to check out all 16 blogs. We have so much to show you so I don't want you to miss out!
