Hello Stamping Friends! Welcome to our very last 2017 Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop for December and for the year. I can't believe we are at our last post already! It feels just like yesterday when this amazing journey began. While this year has been at times a little crazy I have truly loved every minute of it and still cant believe that I was give this opportunity of a life time. I am so very grateful for everything that this team has brought. Also a big thank you to all of you who have supported me along the way!

I'm a bit sad that this Artisan year has come to an end I'm super happy for those that have been selected for 2018. These creative and talented ladies are amazing and I'm sure they will inspire you as much as what they do me. Check out the list at the end of this for the 2018 team and go and show them your support.

Now on to my card for today, we are using the Merry Cafe Stamp Set and I'm going out with one of my final (I think it is) Christmas Cards for the year. Its such a cute and fun set and covers everything from Halloween to Christmas and everything in between.

I've created a fun Christmas Coffee Cup making it look like the fun decorated ones from the popular coffee stores sticking with the traditional Red and Green colours for that Christmassy look.

I've gone for that tone on tone look with the coffee cups stamping Real Red on the Real Red cardstock and then Garden Green on the Garden Green cardstock. I've then sponged around the edges in each co-ordinating colour for some added dimension. 

The great thing about this stamp set is that it has matching Framelits from the Annual Catalogue, the Coffee Cups Framelits Dies. Loving the textured coffee cup collar for that added layer and element. On the collar I've added more of that Christmas by die cutting a Gold Glimmer snowflake from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies.

I know for sure that I would love a gorgeous coffee cup like this when I get my coffee. So cute! The coffee cups have been layered on a piece of Christmas Around the World Designer Series Paper that is layered on the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper. Its all finished off with some Linen Thread, Cherry Cobbler 1/4" Double-Stitched Ribbon and some sequins from the Mini Sequin Trim.

Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop | Colour Me Happy

Oh, Hello and welcome stamping friends to another Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop.  We sure do have lots of crafty goodness for you. You may have joined me here from my beautiful friend in New Zealand, Paula Dobson or you have started here with me. Either way you are being treated to lots of creative inspiration!

I've had a play and create with the Colour Me Happy Stamp Set, the Stampin' Blends and some of the pieces and embellishments from the Colour Me Happy Kit. I was in a Pink and Flowers kind of mood today and really enjoyed putting this card together despite it being crazy, crazy hot here in Melbourne today. I think I nearly melted on to my chair at my crafting desk today it was that hot!

The Colour Me Happy Stamp Set has be designed with lots of open line work images, perfect to use with the Stampin' Blends Alcohol Markers.

I used the Pink Pirouette Dark and Light Stampin' Blends Alcohol Markers to colour the flower images from the Color Me Happy Kit and then teamed those flowers up with the leaves from the Rose Wonder Stamp Set, coloured with the Old Olive Dark and Light Stampin' Blends Markers.

I arranged the flowers and leaves on a die cut Stitched Shapes Circle and then layered that with the Gold starburst, Pool Party Tassel, Whisper White Bakers Twine and the  gorgeous Sequins all from the Colour Me Happy Project Kit. How cute is that tassel?? Such a gorgeous colour and super cute too!

To add some extra interest I flicked the Pink Pirouette Stampin' Write Maker over the front of the card base. The 'Oh, Hello' sentiment has been layered with the Pool Party Glitter Ribbon, the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch and a Strip of the Whole Lot of Lovely DSP. Lots of layers, lots of texture and lots of embellishments. All the things I love!

I do hope I've inspired you to use the Colour Me Happy Stamp Set and Project Kit in another way. If you feel game enough challenge yourself to use these fabulous products in another way! It makes everything so much more versatile.

Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop | Merry Little Labels

Hey there friends! So glad you could join us today for the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop.  This week the team are hopping with the Merry Little Labels Stamp Set. A fabulous festive set to make gorgeous tags for all your festive gifts and packages.

I've created some super cute Mini Treat bags, perfect for gift cards or a small but 'big' gift like jewellery. I'd love to get jewellery in a special gift bag like these that's for sure!

I die cut the pieces of the bag using the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits dies and then ran the front panel of the bag through the Big Shot to emboss with the Pinewood Planks Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I love the added texture and the deeper impression that these embossing folders give! Once all the front panels were embossed I put all the pieces of the bags together with the fabulous Tear & Tape.

I used the colours from the Merry Little Christmas DSP, Basic Black, Old Olive and Whisper White, to carry through that whole festive feel. It's such a gorgeous colour combo for your festive creation. Even though there isn't a hint of red in this festive look it still has that Christmas feel.

 I've accented each bag with strips of the Merry Little Christmas DSP punched with the Triple Banner Punch and then some of the black and gold embellishments, ribbons and trims from both the Annual and Holiday Catalogues. Jute Twine, 7/8" Striped Ribbon, Gold Mini Sequin Trim, Black Mini Sequin Trim, Gold Metallic Thread and Gold Library Clips.

Such a fun little treat bag and so easy to create too. Change up the colours and the DSP accents for a festive look of your own.

Now fly on over the Canada to the amazingly creative, Shannon Lane for her gorgeous creations! She is always an inspiration with her cards a creations!

Count My Blessings Instagram Tip

Today's post is a tip to help you in your card making and creating. A part of being on the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team is to supply tips and tricks using the fabulous Stampin' Up! products for their Instagram Account. Click Here to see this tip in Instagram. 

This is an oldie but a goodie. You may know about this fabulous tip but sometimes its good to be reminded of some of the tips that we sometimes forget. This tip also helps you to make your crafting and creating products more versatile.

Do you have a sentiment that is too long for your label punches? Did you know that you can make these punches longer to fit those things that are too long your punched shape? It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3!

 1. Stamp your image or sentiment on your cardstock and then trim your cardstock down so that it is just smaller than your punch shape.

 2. Slide your piece of cardstock in through the side of the punch and then when the piece of cardstock is half way through, lift it up so that the other end is sitting on top or outside the punch. You’ll have one end of your cardstock in the punch and the other sitting out. Punch the end.

 3. Repeat the process from the opposite side and punch the other end. This way you’ll be able to have any label punch at any size you want.

This is the card that I then made with the longer label punch. I love the simplicity of this card and yet at the same time the statement it makes with that fabulous Buffalo check DSP from the Merry Little Christmas DSP.

Finished off with some of my favourite trims and embellishments for a quick card.

Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop | Stampin' Blends

Why hello there! It's time again for the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! And this hop we are using the ALL NEW - STAMPIN' BLENDS!!!! Super exciting to be showing you all the Stampin' Blends Alcohol Markers. Woot, Woot!!

These are Stampin' Up!'s premier alcohol markers. Stampin' Blends are a high-quality, dual-tip marker that come in 12n of Stampin' Up!'s exclusive colours, each with a light and a dark shade. Maybe you don't think of yourself as an artist, but you don't need to be because these beautiful markers make it so easy to blend colours and create gorgeous works of art.

I've created three Christmas cards for you today using the Seasonal Lantern Stamp Set and the Lantern Builder Framelit Dies.  This stamp set has lots of open line art work which makes it perfect for colouring with the Stampin' Blends markers and a chance for lots of colourful creativity.

I've teamed up the coloured images with the Merry Music Specialty Designer Series Paper for that full Christmas creation. Now is the perfect time to get going on the Christmas cards because before you know it Christmas will be here. The more you can create now the less stressful the Christmas period will be for you.

When using the Blends, Tuxedo Black Memento ink works best as it doesn't bleed when colouring with the markers and the Stampin' Up! Thick Whisper White cardstock is the best cardstock to use.

How you colour with the markers comes down to personal preference. I like to put a little bit of the dark colour down first and then blend and colour with the light marker. Others like to colour each section with the light marker and then add the darker colour. Its up to you how you use them. There is no right or wrong. 

The more you go over with colour the darker the saturation is going to be so if you want the graduation of colour, especially when using the light markers, less is more. A lighter touch also helps to get less bleeding of the colour outside the lines of the artwork.

Get your hands on these fabulous markers and get colouring. The more you colour with the Blends the more confident you will be with your colouring and your creativity. Practice makes perfect!

Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop | Count My Blessings

Hello, Hello. Welcome to today's Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team blog hop. We are creating with either the Gourd Goodness or Count My Blessings Stamp Sets. As its not Autumn here in Melbourne, but Spring, and this set shouts autumn to me I wanted to create with the Count My Blessing set so I'm on Team Count My Blessings. Any set that I can colour with I will naturally gravitate towards and use that.

Its a fabulous set to let the loved ones in our lives know just how much they mean to us or that we are thinking of them.

I've gone with some thinking of you cards and some colouring with the Watercolour Pencils and the floral image in this gorgeous set. Because I've made some 'Thinking of You' cards I wanted them to have a clean look and not too much 'fanfare'. I really wanted the seniment to be the main focus so that the 'Thinking of You' sentiment was the first thing that you saw and the floral image, DSP, Ribbon and Trim came through second. What I'm trying to say is that I didn't want it to be too OTT.

I've stamped the images on to Crumb Cake cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black in and then embossed over it with Clear embossing powder. I do realise that I do emboss the images on nearly all my creations but I just love that gorgeous, shiny sheen that the clear embossing powder gives to any stamped image. And it's another added element of prettiness and texture.

Once the ink and clear embossing powder were ready I used the Melon Mambo and Old Olive Pencils to add some colour. The best way I like to use the pencils is to, with an Aqua Painter, pick the colour up straight off the pencil lead and then 'paint' that colour down on to the image. Keep going with the picking up colour and then painting it down until you get the desired look and colour to your image.

Loving the light wash of colour on these cards with a little bit of the crumb cake showing through. When colouring on Crumb Cake don't use too much water as your cardstock will start to pill and ball up. The Crumb Cake Cardstock isn't designed for watercolour but if you use a light hand and less water you can do it.

I've used the Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker to rule an edge around the card and the I've finished it off with Linen Thread, Burlap Trim, Merry Little Christmas DSP and some Mini Gold Sequin Trim. Super pretty and not too 'OTT'.

Loving all that clean space to these cards and then the gorgeous sentiment with the gorgeous font and the beautiful floral images. Sometimes its nice to strip the cards back and give them that clean look.

Now on to Shannon all the way over in Canada with her colourful creations and her love of colour.

I've had a play around with the deer image and some of the DSP from the Christmas Around the World DSP from the Holiday Catalogue. This DSP captures the festive spirit with traditional Christmas images from all around the world. And the best thing is this DSP is on the Buy 3 Get 1 FREE promotion at the moment. Perfect to get those Christmas Cards started so you are organised by the time December 1st rolls around.

I first chose the Snowflake DSP because there was snowflakes in the deer image and then I really loved the colouring of the Pool Party Spotty DSP so decided to make a second card as well. Why not really.

 These two cards are same, same but different. It's just down to a personal preference as to which one you like.

I did start with having the deer stamped in black and then embossed with Clear Stampin' Emboss powder for that added gorgeous touch to the black. I changed the deer to the Silver Stampin' Emboss powder as I couldn't get the black to stamp clear and crisp as I wanted it. It just wasn't working, at all. I'm glad I changed to the Silver Stampin' emboss powder and I think the deer looks stunning in it. I literally gasped when I heated it up. It's just super gorgeous.

How stunning is that black and white striped ribbon? It just goes with everything! Love it! While the ribbon is a gorgeous size, I think it looks even better trimmed down to this smaller size.

Super gorgeous, super fun and super festive. 

 Now on to Shannon all the way over there in Canada. Has she got something super gorgeous and super fun for you too. Love that gal!!

Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop | Thankful Painted Harvest

Hello, Hello. Here's to Friday, well here in Melbourne it is, the start of the weekend and to another Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop.  You are currently visiting me, Rochelle, in Melbourne, Australia and today we are bringing you creations using the Painted Harvest Stamp Set. Oh pretty!

It's got that Autumn or Fall feel with a watercolour look, without the all the work of actual water colouring. No colouring, just stamping! Yay!

I've gone for a rustic feel for my creations today. I do tend to love the rustic look and today is no exception. I've made shadow box frame, for a fun home decor piece, and a matching card. Just search in Pinterest and on You Tube, there are lots of tutorials on how to make the shadow box frame.

How gorgeous are those sunflowers from the set. These are part of a two-step stamping process where two stamps layer on top of each other to create the one image. I'm loving the 'yellow' look to the sunflower but also the 'deep red' look too. Gorgeous.

For the 'yellow' sunflower I  used So Saffron for the lighter layer and then Crushed Curry on top. For the 'Deep Red' sunflower the lighter layer is Cherry Cobbler, stamped off and then on the top Cherry Cobbler full strength.

How good are the Painted Harvest images teamed up with the Wood Textures DSP stack. The Wood Textures DSP really adds to that rustic look that I love and just another gorgeous element on its own.

While the sunflower I fussy cut out with the Fabulous Stampin' Up! Paper Snips, the leaf image has a co-ordinating punch. Definitely makes it easy just to punch out the images like that, that's for sure. Love it! To eliminate the words 'for you' from the sentiment stamp 'I am Thankful for you' stamp I put Washi Tape over the 'For You' before inking it up with Versamark Ink and then removed the washi tape before stamping it down.

By having this frame on display it my home, it reminds me to stop and to remember to be thankful. It's something that I need for myself to be reminded of rather than complaining and criticizing, which sometimes I'm a little to quick to do.

Now on to the Shannon in Canada and her oh so fabulous creations. I love the way she puts colour and elements together. She's just so good at it!
