Stampin' Fancy Friday | Mini Catalogue Challenge

Hello there stamping friends! Welcome, welcome! It's so good to have you here. I have a project for you for the Stampin' Fancy Friday Design Team. This month we are all about the 2021 Jan - Jun Mini Catalogue.

While we were supposed to pick a favourite bundle or stamp to use for this challenge I couldn't pick just one so I went with my favourite product from the Mini Catalogue. And that is the True Love 12" x12" DSP from the Love You Always Suite.

If you've been following me for a while, you'll know that I love anything in the classic Black and White colour combo and when this fantastic combo is combined with floral images and geometric prints this DSP was and is a MUST have item.

For my card today I've used this floral print to colour in with Stampin' Blends Alcohol Markers. I cut the DSP down to a 6' x 6"I was actually inspired for my card today from an ad on Facebook advertising phone covers. They were stunning covers and when I saw them, I was immediately inspired  to create a card. I love the way inspiration can hit you, and it can be from the most random things.

I've started the card with Crumb Cake base layers, but I thought after I put the card together, White or Sahara Sand might look good for the base layers also.

To colour all the flowers I've used a mix of Petal Pink and Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends Markers. The leaves I've used the Old Olive blend and then the longer branches So Saffron Dark and Light.

Stampin' Blends Markers Used
Light Flowers - Calypso Coral Light, Petal Pink Dark, Petal Pink Light
Dark Flowers - Calypso Coral dark, Calypso Coral Light, Petal Pink Dark
Leaves - Old Olive Dark and Light
Branches - So Saffron Dark and Light
Background - Crumb Cake Light

Because colouring the DSP is a statement on its own I felt that the card didn't really need much else to go with it. I've added a little bit of Stampin' Emboss splatter using the White Stampin' Emboss Powder and then finished the card off with the Guilded Gems, White Twine, and an Embossed Happy Birthday Sentiment.

Check out the rest of the favourite mini catalogue creations that the Stampin' Fancy Friday Design Team has made on the Stampin' Fancy Friday Instagram Account. Just Add Ink #540 | Colour Challenge

Hello there stamping friends! Happy Friday! Welcome and thanks for joining me on my blog today. It's so good to have you here.  I hope you're having a fabulous day and that you have all been safe and well. Today we over at Just Add Ink have another creative challenge for you. This week its a fantstic colour challenge chosen by me - Just Add Ink #540 | Colour Challenge.

I love the soft look of these colours all together. I was thinking that it would look good for something floral. And yes, I've used the Hydrangea Hill Suite again this week. The products have been sitting on my desk and I had a few ideas that I wanted to try.

My card today is fairly CAS (Clean and Simple), well CAS for me, but I've used quite a few layers. If you are wanting to recreate this card you could probably cut out a few of the layers.

I've layered some Misty Moonlight cardstock over the Shimmery White base layers and then a piece of the Hydrangea Hill DSP over that. The last layer is again another piece of Shimmery White that has been embossed with the Subtle 3d Embossing folder.

To make the Hydrangea all I did was stamp the 'watercolour' image from the Hydrangea Haven stamp set in Blushing Bride Ink and then I die cut it with the Hydrangea Dies.

A quick tip to pop out all those little flowers out is to put your die cut piece on a Stampin' Pierce mat and then with the Large Stylus end (large ball end)from the Take Your Pic Tool, push in the centre of each flower where each little 'hole' and this will help those petals to pop up.

I've finished the card off with a sentiment from the Hydrangea Haven stamp set and some of my favourite ribbons, trim and embellishments.

Global Design Project #277 | Colour Challenge

Hello stamping friends! Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I'm playing along with the colour challenge over at the Global Design Project Blog | GDP #277 | Colour Challenge with my project for you today.

What a gorgeous colour combo! I love, love, love me some pinks and then teamed with a neutral like Sahara Sand makes for some gorgeous creations. It almost has a bit of a vintage vibe to it too. I've gone for a fairly CAS card today using some of the products from the Hydrangea Hill suite in the 2021 Jan - June Mini Catalogue.

I've started the card with some base layers of Shimmery White cardstock and then using one of the floral images from the Hydrangea Haven Stamp Set, I've created a gorgeous floral border. I just repeat stamped this image around the edge using Blushing Bride Ink and then using the new Blending Brushes, blended a light coverage of Blushing Bride Ink over the stamped flower border.

Over the stamped border I've then layered over some Sahara Sand cardstock. I usually go to Crumb Cake for my go to neutral but I am really loving the subtle difference in Sahara Sand tto the Crumb Cake. On the Sahara Sand I've stamped another of the images from the Hydrangea Haven stamp set with a light splatter of the Sahara Sand ink from the Sahara Sand Stampin' Write marker.

I've finished the card off with some Linen Thread, a piece of the square Vellum Doilies, Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon, some Hydrangea Hill DSP, a little flower from the Hydrangea Dies and some Basic Pearls.
