Global Design Project #244 | CASE the Designer | Forever Greenery

Hello friends! I hope you are having a fabulous day! The sun has been shining here in Melbourne the past few days, which I love, and I've spent some time in the craft room playing with some new catalogue goodies. My kids went to back school this week after being at home for 11 weeks due to the current Global Pandemic. So it was so nice to get my crafting space, in peace, after not having much time to myself. I didn't mind having the kids at home at all but it did make it difficult to get my things done.

I thought joining a challenge would get the card making mojo going and this weeks challenge over at the Global Design Project #244 | CASE the Designer, looked like the perfect opportunity.

This weeks challenge is to CASE the Designer, Krista Frattin. I love Krista's  amazing creations. She is always a source of inspiration with her projects and I love the way she puts products together that aren't always made to go together.

In CASEing Krista's project today, I love the 'fun fold' of her card and layering of the pieces on the front panel, incorporating the circle on the front. And that's what inspires me for my project today.

I've finally got the chance to create with some of the products from the amazing Forever Greenery Suite in the new Stampin' Up! 2020 - 2021 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue.

I've started with a Shimmery White base and then cut 3cm off the front flap to create the 'fun fold' on the front. I've them layered some of the beautiful Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper on the front for a gorgeous look. Because there are lots of elements on my card today I added a Vellum  overlay over the DSP to soften the pattern.

The front of the card has been embellished with some die cuts from the Forever Flourishing Dies and a beautiful piece of the Forever Gold Laser-Cut Speciality Paper. Have you seen this Gold Laser-Cut Paper? It is just amazing! It has precut card fronts and greenery accents all in either gold on one side or white on the other. It would be such a shame to turn the gold over and use the white side, as the gold side is just so beautiful and lifts any project.

Also added in the cluster of embellihsments is some Linen Thread and the Gold Thread from the Forever Greenery Ribbon Combo Pack.

Finishing off the card is a 2" Circle punch out, piece of vellum die cut using the Tasteful Labels Dies, an embossed sentiment, part from the Tasteful Touches Stamp Set and the other part from the Forever Fern Stamp Set, and last but by no means least a few of the Gilded Gems.

If you want some amazing 'CASE the Designer inspiration, check out all the fabulousness the Global Design Project team has for us. Gosh, they are amazing and have outdone it again this week!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
