Just Add Ink #510 | Just Add A Fancy Fold

Hello there stamping friends. Welcome and thanks for joining me today. I hope you are having a fabulous day! Happy Friday! The sun is out, the birds are singing, is a beautiful (but crisp) winters day.The perfect way to start the weekend! Another perfect way to start the weekend to to shar with you all the new challenge over at Just Add Ink.

 This week we are all about those 'Fancy Folds' or 'Fun Folds'. Whatever you call them you sure are in for a treat this week with lots of different and fancy creations. I most of the time forget about using some of these fun and different folds but they really make for some amazing and special creations. 

Have you tried a fany fold? Here are some I've tried to name a few - Diamond Fold Card, Z Fold Card, Joy Fold Card, Napkin Fold Card, Pop Up Gift Card Holder Card, Pop Out Swing Card. Just search Fancy Fold Cards in Pinterest or Google and a million possiblities and tutorials come up.

While my card looks like a standard card on the outside the magic and fancy fold is on the inside with a Twist and Pop Card. I've made one of these, a few years ago, HERE and thought it would be fun to revisist this technique. I found this SUPER EASY, yes SUPER EASY, tutorial HERE on You Tube to make this card. And it really isn't as hard as it looks.

Most of the products that I've used today come from the Flowers for Every Season Suite  and I've combined those products with Basic Gray Cardstock, Magenta Madness Cardstock, Just Jade Carstock and Shimmery White Cardstock.

I've layered some of the Flowers for Every Season DSP  as the main DSP layer and then used the reverse pattern from the tulips in the Stiched Shapes Circle and then on the inside as well. The Just Jade die cut is cut using the Forever Flourishing Dies and then the Gold Trim and Gold Leaf used in the layering come from the Forever Greenery Suite. Then in the rest of the layering uses some of the stickers from the Flowers for Every Season Memories and More Card Pack. These stickers make it quick and easy to make it gorgeous creations. Team them with the DSP and there you have a beautiful creation!

Upon opening that's when this card goes from being a normal card to a 'Twist and Pop' card. The mechanics of the card make it so that the 'pop' up middle section lies flat inside when the card is closed and then as you open it the middle section twists and pops open to reaveal the scored decorated panel.

I've continued the same Just Jade DSP on the inside that I used on the inside for a continuation of same and similar products. Got to have matchy matchy! On each panel, over the DSP is a Stiched Nested Label and then some more of the stickers from the Flowers for Every Season Memories and More Card Pack to decorate each panel.
