The Stamp Review Crew | Made with Love Edition

http://stampreviewcrew.blogspot.com/2016/03/stamp-review-crew-made-with-love-edition.html

A big hello and welcome to you today on the next step on the Stamp Review Blog Hop.  This is going to be one cute hop today that's for sure as we are showcasing the Made with Love stamp set. It is found in the 'For Baby' section in the annual catalogue and it is all kinds of cuteness! There are also two Framelits sets that will help you with cutting out some of the images - Baby's First Framelits Dies and Tags & Labels Framelits Dies.

I've used only one image from the set, the super cute little deer,  but I've made two versions of my card a boy card and a girl one and I've had my first attempt at the water colouring technique - No Line Water colouring. This is when you stamp your image in a lighter colour ink and the lines aren't as defined and sometimes they ever look like the disappear. I really love the look of this technique and the softer look that it gives to the images. Perfect for a baby card!

I'm happy with my first attempt but I can see that I still need some more practise. What can I colour in next?? Ha!

The deer image was stamped in Sahara Sand and I stamped it off once first to give it a lighter colour. After stamping it off I re-inked the words again to make sure that they weren't so light. I've then coloured the deer using Aqua painters with Crumb Cake, Blushing Bride and Soft Sky.

I'm looking forward to practicing the No-Line Water colouring technique and moving on to some bigger images.

Now its time to hop on to the ever fabulous Tanya Boser for some more inspiration

Just Add Ink - Just Add E

Hello! Here's to the beginning of the weekend! WooHoo! This week the Just Add Ink team are Just Adding an E for this weeks challenge which is very timely for the your Easter creations. You don't have to limit yourself to just Easter though it could be and Eastern inspired creation, a stamp set or your favourite DSP that begins with E or your favourite colour. The possibilities are endless.

I have gone with the Easter option for my creation using the stamp set Circle of Spring. I was inspired for my card today by a picture on Pinterest of someones wreath that they had created to decorate their mantle at home for the Easter season. Even though it is now Autumn here in Australia for Easter I still wanted to use this beautiful stamp set for my card today.

I've stamped the wreath with Mossy Meadow and then coloured the flowers, using a blender pen, with Rose Red and the Leaves with Old Olive.

The cross is made with the Kraft Corrugated 12" x 12" cardstock and then bound together with Linen thread. I'm so loving the Corrugated cardstock, linen thread and Burlap at the moment. I think I'm going through a rustic phase.

If you find some time to get creative this weekend, we'd love to see your creation over at Just Add Ink. Remember your creation doesn't have to be an Easter creation. Whatever 'E' inspires you!

I hope that I've inspired you today to join in challenge. Make sure that you check out all the other fabulous creations from the rest of the Just Add Ink design team and while you are there check out all the details on how to enter your creation.

Looking forward to seeing what you make!

#TGIFC46 - Well this happened and I'm so excited to be part of TGIF!

I'm so excited to be able to finally tell you all that you are looking at the newest TGIF Challenges Designer. Mercedes contacted me a few weeks ago about being part of the Design Team and I was blown away. EEEK!!! I'm such a big fan of TGIF and I'm so honoured and very thankful to be asked to be a part of this fabulous group of crafters.
I'm so looking forward to sharing all my creations with you and to inspire you to join in with the weekly Challenges. WHOOP, WHOOP!

I'm starting with the TGIF crew with my favourite type of challenge, sketch challenge. Yay!

I've had a play around with an oldie but a goodie DSP, Typeset Speciality DSP. I do love a vinatge feel to my creations and this DSP just fits that perfectly. Finish it off with some Burlap and the Venetian Crochet trim and it screams vintage all over.

I embossed the Typeset DSP with the Fluttering Textured Impressions embossing folder to give a faint butterfly impression on the DSP and give it some more texture. Its accented wtih some of the black sequins from the Metallics Sequin Assortment, Burlap Ribbon, Crochet Trim and some Gold Sequin Trim. I've also got to have some Metallic Thread on everything lately. Love that stuff!

I hope that I've inspired you today to join in the TGIF challenge. Head here to see all the wonderful inspiration and all the details on how you can join in the fun.

Looking forward to seeing your creations!

Just Add Ink #302 - Just Add A Colour Combo

Its a new Friday and a new Just Add Ink Challenge. This week we have a colour challenge - Blackberry Bliss, Tip Top Taupe and Rich Razzleberry.

The colours are rich and bold and I thought were perfect for the roses from the Picture Perfect stamp set from the 2016 Occassions Catalogue. It's been crazy and unusually hot here in Melbourne this week but fortuantely we had a cooler day today so I could have some crafting 'me' time.

The rose is stamped with Rich Razzleberry with the Triple Step Stamping Technique. I started with the darkest layer first and then stamped off the next layers to acheive the gradients of colour. I love that with stamp sets like this it is very easy to acheive an artistic look to your creations with little effort.

Its accented with the Sale-a-bration freebie Glitter Tape (love that stuff), gold sequins and some of the leaf dies from the Rose Garden Thinlits Dies.

I hope that you join in the challenge this week. Head on over to Just Add Ink so see how you can join and to see the fabulous inspiration!

The Stamp Review Crew | Number of Years Edition

http://stampreviewcrew.blogspot.com/2016/03/stamp-review-crew-number-of-years.html

Welcome to the next leg of the Stamp Review Crew Number Of Years stamp set blog hop. You have probably seen lots of fabulous ideas and inspiration along the way and I'm hoping that I will inspire you some more.

I've used the Number of Years stamp set a little bit lately and what I love about it is that those beautiful large numbers have beautiful large matching framelits. This is also one of the fabulous 'Bundle and Save' bundles, so that when purchased together you can get them at 15% off the original price.

Even though the Number of Years stamp set is very floral and feminine I wanted to use it today for boy/male cards and especially for two of my nephews who both turn six this week.  So I've used some of the word elements and the Framelits numbers.

I've picked a fabulous and fun boy colour combination Cucumber Crush and Basic Black and then gone from there!

The words and the 'th' banner are embossed in White Stampin' Emboss Powder and I've used my paper piercer to pierce some holes for a bit of hand sewing with Metallic Gold Thread. I love that the Metallics Sequin Assortment not only comes in different colours but also different shapes so that you can still put sequins on a boy/male card and not have it look too girly.

Now its time to hop on to the ever wonderful Linda Callahan for some more inspiration

Can You Case It? #110 - Botanical Builders Framelits Dies

Hello and Happy Sunday! Welcome to the a brand new week and a brand new challenge at CYCI. What better way to start your week than with a sketch challenge. I love a sketch challenge and they are perfect starting plaform to get those creative juices flowing! You'll find lots of inspriation from the Design Team here

I did think about changing the sketch to the Vertical orientation and then though I would actually leave the sketch as is for once.

I had a play around with the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies and the DSP from the 12"x12" It's My Party Paper Stack.

I've used Rose Red, Blushing Bride, Island Indigo and Pool Party. I saw the colour combo on an advertisement on the back of a local card making magazine and really wanted to give that a go.

The Botanical Builder Framelits Dies make it easy to create a beautiful card. Die cut a few of the flowers and arrange them on your card and you're done.

I've finished the card off with the Greeting Thinlits, Burlap Trim, Pool Party Glitter Ribbon and some the  Metallics Assorted Sequins.

Are you ready to enter your creation in this weeks challenge????? Can't wait to see your creation!!  Click here for more inspiration.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

2016 Occasions | Spring Summer International Stampin' Up! Blog Hop

Hello and a BIG welcome to you all for this International Stampin' Up! Blog Hop showing the fabulous products from the 2016 Occasions|Spring Summer Catalogue. I'm very much honoured and so excited to have been asked by Kylie Bertucci to be a part of this hop and I'm feeling a little nervous to be amongst these fabulous and very talented crafters.

Thank you for joining us today for our International Stampin' Up! Blog hop. You may be just starting here or have come from the ever amazing Krista Frattin. Either way you can make your way around by using the list below so that you don't miss a blog. We have and incredible group of talented Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who wanted to highlight some of the Occasions Catalogue items, remember that Sale-a-Bration is happening at the moment too so you can earn free products! At the moment you are currently in hot and sunny Melbourne, Australia and you are about to go around the world to different locations.

I've used the fantastic stamp set Number of Years and its co-ordinating Framelits set Large Numbers. The best part of this stamp set and framelits is that these two products are put together in a bundle and you can save 15% when these are purchased together. Everyone loves a saving right?!

I've made a few creations recently using the Chalkboard Technique and really love the look. I know its not a new technique but I thought it would look fabulous with this set.

This card nearly didn't happen. It took me at least 6 attempts to do the embossing layer and every time I managed to get it wrong. One I accidentally tore when sponging it, one the sewing machine jammed, one the embossing didn't melt right. I felt like (if cards ever had feelings. Ha!) that it really didn't want me to make it. I nearly binned the whole idea. At that moment that's when you walk away, take a deep breath and then come back to it when your thoughts are recollected.

I've embossed the leaf spray in the bottom left corner with White Stampin' Emboss Powder and then I stamped the little flowers on Shimmery White cardstock with Wisteria Wonder, Pool Party, Blushing Bride and Watermelon Wonder. I then fussy cut the little flowers, and yes they are little to fussy cut, and arranged them on the card. It is then finished off with some Blushing Bride banners and some Gold Foil Numbers.

I just love the prettiness of this set and the watercolour feel that it has. I'm a sucker for anything flowery and pretty, so sets like these have me at 'Hello'!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Make sure that you hop all the way around to see all the awe-inspiring creations. You don't want to miss a thing! Next around on the hop is the ever lovely, Martha Inchley. She always has fabulous creations so go and check her blog out!
