Just Add Ink #718 | Just Choose Two Challenge

Hello stamping friends. Happy Friday! I hope you are having a wonderful day. I'm here today with the Just Add Ink Design Team for the new Just Add Ink Challenge - Just Add Ink #718 | Just Choose Two Challenge. This week our Just Choose Two Challenge has been chosen by team member Kerry.

Today for our Just Choose Two challenge (to choose two items to feature on your project) we are choosing from Texture, Foliage or String. I chose Texture and String for my card today but really you could say that I've added a little bit of foliage as well. This is one of those Just Choose Two challenges where it's easy to use all the three options.

Today I've pulled out the Enduring Beauty stamp set for a bit of embossed watercolouring. I hadn't used this set for a while so it was nice to pull it out and give it a bit of love.

For my texture element from our Just Choose Two options I've used some of the fabulous 3D Embossing folders that Stampin' Up! has in their Embossing Folders range. Here I've used the Layered Florals 3D embossing folder and the Hobnail-Glass Dots from the Basics 3D embossing folders (online exclusive). I've used these two embossing folders as the base layers for my card. I love how using embossing folders really helps to bring your creations from 'drab to fab' with really not much effort at all.

I embossed the Enduring Beauty image on the Fluid 100 Watercolour paper with gold embossing powder and then using one of the Water Painters and some Stampin' Up! inks coloured in the image. Here I've used watered down Blackberry Bliss and Mossy Meadow. These colours are usually dark and intense but with them being watered down they've taken on a soft and subtle look. Pretty!

I die-cut the coloured image with the Everyday Details Dies and then using the holes cut in the circle and some Linen Thread - my string element, 'sewed' the thread through the holes. I also added some Linen Thread on the base layers of the card for some added embellishment.

I've then finished off my card with some ribbon, an embossed sentiment and some Iridescent Pearls.

There are lots of AMAZING creations from the rest of the Just Add Ink Design Team on the JAI Blog. Go and check out to see what 'two' elements they all used this week and then while you are there you can see how you can enter your project. Can't wait to see what 'two' you used.
