Just Add Ink #429 | Just Add Vellum

Hello there stamping and crafting friends! It's Friday and that means two things. It's nearly the weekend, YAY, and we have a new challenge over at Just Add Ink | Just Add Vellum. Vellum would have to be one of my most favourite and most used papers and it goes with just about everything!

I've used the vellum today by not only embossing it for added texture but using it to tone down busy DSP's and to give a softer look.  This is my most favourite way to use vellum.

I've used the products from the Stampin' Up! Festive Farmhouse Suite in the 2018 Holiday Catalogue, I really love the tartan/plaid pattern but found with all the layering of the ribbon, trim and embellishments it was all getting too much. So its the vellum to the rescue! You can still see the pattern from the DSP coming through the vellum but now it's got a much softer look.

Vellum is fabulous to emboss for some more added elements and texture. You may find though with the newer Stampin' Up! Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folders that the vellum may crack. It really will just be though a process of trial and elimination as to what Embossing Folders work and what doesn't.

Check out more inspiration on the Just Add Ink Blog to see how the rest of the team used vellum in their creations. Come and play along with the design team, we'd love to see how you incorporated vellum into your cards this week.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
