Just Add Ink #533 | Just Add 'S'

Hello there stamping friends! I hope that you have had a fantastic week and are having an awesome Friday. Because it's Friday, that means that is time for another Just Add Ink challenge - Just Add Ink #533 | Just Add 'S'.

It's one of our fun letter challenges - Just Add 'S'. You could incorporate your favourite stamp set starting with 'S', snow, snowflakes, sunshine, sunflowers, colours like silver or the Stampin' Up! colour Shaded Spruce, Santa, a Sympathy card, whatever you desire as long as it fits into Just Add 'S'.

Today for my card I've used a technique that I've wanted to try for a long time, the Sunburst/Starburst Technique and I've used the Snowflake Splendor DSP with this fun technique. I've used the Sunburst Tutorial from fellow JAI Design Team Member - Di Barnes, HERE as this was the easiest one to follow.

Also with the Sunburst Technique and the Snowflake Splendor DSP I also added Shimmery White Cardstock, Sponging, Stitching and Snowflakes for my Just Add 'S' card. I think I've got enough 'S' elements.

Once all the DSP pieces were adhered to the card I finished off the card with the Vellum Snowflakes, Linen Thread, Snowflake Splendor Ribbon, and the sentiment stamped in Misty Moonlight from the Snowflake Wishes Stamp Set and the Blue Adhesive-Backed Gems.

I do hope that I've given you some inspiration for this week's letter theme. Please head on over to the Just Add Ink Blog to see all the variety in the JAI Design Teams Projects and then come and join in the fun of this week's Just Add 'S' challenge. Can't wait to see what you create.

Thank so much for stopping by!

Stampin' Up! Artisan Design team Blog Hop | Snowflake Splendor

Hello there stamping friends. Welcome, welcome. It's so good to have you here today! Welcome to the November Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop. We are going to the snow this month with the Snowflake Splendor Suite found on pgs 36 - 38 of the Stampin' Up! Aug - Dec 2020 Mini Catalogue.

International readers please use the translate feature, found in the side bar, to translate to your language.

Today we are showcasing the hand-painted imagery in a rich, cool colour pallet. We hope that you will get swept away in a flurry of creative ideas to inspire you with this amazing suite.

I've got three projects for you today with two cards and a gift tag and hopefully my projects today will inspire you in your Christmas season creations. I must say that I struggled to make my projects today. As we are nearing the summer season here, today was 35c ((95F), in Australia my mind is thinking about jumping in the swimming pool and not rugging up to go to the snow. So with that I hope that I've done this suite justice for some wintery creations.

My first card uses one of the snowflake images from the Snowflake Wishes Stamp Set for some repeat stamping to create my own background. I've stamped Balmy Blue ink on Balmy Blue Cardstock for that tone on tone look. I've also used a stamping sponge to then sponge around the edge of my stamped background piece to create more of a luxurious look. I've then embossed this piece with the Subtle 3D embossing folder and then embossed splatters of White Stampin' Emboss Powder to add to that snow 'falling' look.

I've finished off the card with a sentiment panel using the Stitched Nested Labels Dies. I've layered some snowflake die cuts from the So Many Snowflakes dies in the Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper and Shimmery White and then added a sentiment using parts of sentiments from the Snowflake Wishes Stamp Set and the Snow Wonder Stamp Set. I've finished it off with some Linen Thread, Seaside Spray Scalloped Linen Ribbon, and the stunning Blue Adhesive-Backed Gems.

My next card I've used the Emboss Resist technique. I embossed the snowflakes from the Snowflake Wishes stamp set with Clear Stampin' Emboss powder and then with Balmy Blue Ink and a Stampin' Sponge I lightly sponged the ink onto Shimmery White cardstock. I made the ink darker at the edges and left the ink to look almost white in the centre of the card for a gorgeous ombre look. Over the sponged ink I splattered some droplets of water and this also gave a look of snow 'falling'.

I die cut the Wintry Label from the So Many Snowflakes Dies in Shimmery White cardstock and then trimmed around it with my paper trimmer to make a Wintry Label 'frame'. I infilled the label with Vellum and then accented the snowflakes in the label with some Balmy Blue Glimmer Snowflakes. I you haven't got some of the Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper, you must get some as it is oh so stunning! Again, I've finished off the card with parts of sentiments from the Snowflake Wishes Stamp Set and the Snow Wonder Stamp Set, Seaside Spray Scalloped Linen Ribbon, Snowflake Splendor Ribbon and the stunning Blue Adhesive-Backed Gems.

My last project for you is a quick tag using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. Again, using Balmy Blue cardstock and Balmy Blue Ink, I've stamped some of the snowflakes, more randomly this time, for a gorgeous and fun background.

Then after adding a small piece of Shimmery White Cardstock I've layered some of the Snowflake dies in various types of cardstock for snowfilled festive look. I'm just loving the sparkle of that Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper! It's just gorgeous! Finished off with the sentiment from the Snowflake Wishes Stamp Set and the Seaside Spray Scalloped Linen Ribbon.

I do hope that I've given you some creative inspiration using this stunning suite! Just by layering some of the snowflake die cuts on some cardstock you have a stunning festive card for some one. Add some of the Blue Adhesive-Backed Gems and the Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper and you've got something really special for that special friend. With all these amazing products that coordinate together so well you really don't need much to create something amazing!

Now on to the fantastic Stesha Bloodhart in the U.S. for her Snowflake Splendor projects. They are just AMAZING and I'm sure you will love them too.

I know I say it every hop, but please make sure that you take the time to have a look around at all 16 Artisan Blogs for this blog hop. I'm sure you will be saying 'WOW, WOW, WOW" like I was for everyone's amazing creativity! You won't want to miss out!

Just Add Ink #532 | Sketch Challenge

Hello there stamping friends! I hope that you are having a fantastic week and a fabulous day! It's Friday, Yay! Yay, not only that it means it's the end of the week, but also it's time for another Just Add Ink Challenge - Just Add Ink #532. And I'll say another 'Yay' because this weeks challenge is my favourite, sketch challenge!

Today I'm giving you a sneak peek into some new products from the upcoming Stampin' Up! 2021 January - June Mini Catalogue. And I'm sure you will love the products as much as I do!

A couple of weeks ago now I attended the Stampin' Up! On Stage at Home Virtual Event, which was so good! I really enjoyed it. One of the privileges to going to a Stampin' On Stage Event is that you get to order, select products from the new catalogue that were unveiled at said event.

I preordered products from the very stunning Fine Art Floral Suite and I'm showing you today a sneaky peek of some of the products which are in the January - June 2021 Mini catalogue.

I've started my card with a Whisper White base and then used a piece of the Fine Art Floral DSP to cover the whole front of the card. This DSP is a statement of its own and is A-MA-ZING! The floral images on the DSP have originally been hand painted and then through the wonders of technology has been turned into this beautiful DSP.

With the DSP I've used the Golden Garden Designer Specialty Acetate. This acetate has gold foiling on acetate in 3 different designs. This design is meant to outline the images in the Fine Art Floral DSP for that gorgeous gold accenting on the flowers. Gorgeous! Gorgeous! Gorgeous!

I've used some layers of Whisper White and Vellum for the circles and the die cut the 'Just Want to Say' from the Floral Gallery Dies in Basic Black.Don't the die cuts make such a statement die cut in Basic Black? I just love how they stand out! I've accented the card with Fine Art Ribbon, Gold Thread, Rococo Rose Scalloped Linen Ribbon and Gilded Gems.

I hope that you enjoyed my take on this weeks sketch challenge and the little sneaky peek into some of the products from the upcoming catalogue. I can tell you now, I'll be using a lot of this DSP. It's going on EVERYTHING!

I do hope that I've given you some inspiration with this weeks sketch challenge and that you will come and join in this week's sketch fun! Make sure you check out the Just Add Ink Blog to see the rest of the amazing projects from the JAI Design Team. Can't wait to see what your creations will be!

Colour Inkspiration Challenge #89

Hello there stamping friends! Welcome again to my blog. I hope that you are having a fabulous day! The sun is out here in Melbourne and I've spent some time in the crafting corner playing and creating with some products from the Stampin' Up! Aug - Dec 2020 Mini Catalouge. I saw the challenge over at Colour INKspiration - Challenge #89 and I just had to join in and play along.

I do love a traditional Christmas colour combination and this one that they have for this challenge is stunning! The lighter green in Just Jade and the darker green in Shaded Spruce and then the gorgeous pop of colour from the Poppy Parade.

Click on the colour name to see all the Stampin' Up! products in that colour.

I've used the colour combination for a bit of colouring with the Stampin' Up! Stampin' Blends Alcohol Markers and for something I love to do I've use Gray Granite Cardstock as my colouring base. Using the Stampin' Blends markers of a coloured cardstock is an easy and fantstic way to get a different look to each colour marker without using a millon markers to do it.

I've stamped the images with Memento Ink and then coloured in the images using the Stampin' Blends. If you are wanting to try colouring with the Blends on coloured cardstock the best cardstock colours to use are the lighter Neutrals like Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand. Smoky Slate, Gray Granite.

I die cut the images out using my Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and then layered the die cut images with some of the die cut pieces from the Forever Gold Laser-Cut Specialty Paper. What's a Christmas card without something gold or sparkly? All Christmas cards need that shimmer and shine.

Because I wanted those gorgeous colours to be main attraction to my card I've kept my base layers to white by using Shimmery White, Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper and Vellum and then used Linen Thread for a little bit of trim. I've then finished the card of with an embossed sentiment from the Curvy Christmas Stamp set, the beautiful Beaded Pearls and a few Pearl Basic Jewels scattered around the card.

I do hope you like my take on this colour challenge and have inspired you to colour with alcohol markers on coloured cardstock. You'll love the different look that it gives to each colour.

Stampin' Blends Used
Poinsettia - Poppy Parade Dark and Light, Flirty Flamingo Dark
Leaves - Shaded Spruce Dark, Just Jade Dark and Light

Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop | Curvy Celebrations

International readers please use the translate feature, found in the side bar, to translate to your language.

Hello stamping friends! Welcome to another Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop.We have a special treat for you by having our second blog hop for the Curvy Celebrations Promotion with amazing all year round products, including Christmas, that are now available to customers to purchase.

This promotion features two early release products from the Stampin' Up! 2021 January - June Mini Catalogue - Quite curvy Stamp Set and the Curvy Dies - AS WELL AS two exclusive products - Curvy Christmas Stamp Set and the Classic Christmas DSP -  available for a LIMITED TIME ONLY!

You can purchase all the products together in the Quite Curvy Variety Bundle (top left) or all individually with the Quite Curvy Bundle (top right), Curvy Christmas Stamp Set (bottom left) and the Classic Christmas 6" x 6" DSP. The curvy dies (as seen with the Quite Curvy Bundle) coordinate with the Quite Curvy Stamp Set and the Curvy Christmas Stamp Set  but can only be purchased in the Quite Curvy Bundle.

On our first hop using these amazing products I had the pleasure of creating with the Quite Curvy Photopolymer Stamp Set and the Quite Curvy Dies using a beautiful Seaside Spray and Whisper White Colour Combination. How beautiful is that curvy border die? Doesn't it make for some soft and elegant creations?

To see all the projects from the Artisan Design Team in our first blog hop, click HERE.

This blog hop I'm using the Curvy Christmas Stamp Set, Quite Curvy Dies and the Classic Christmas DSP. I've gone for a Just Jade, Shaded Spruce and Gold Colour Combination for today's project.

I've started my project today with similar products as what I did for my card in the first blog hop. Lots of base layers and then embossing the top layer with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder. I've tried to keep a similar look as to what I did with my first card using the Quite Curvy Stamp Set. Its same, same but different. The layout is similar but the use of the products is different.

I've used the star stamp to create a horizontal border on the card. This creates a little bit of a frame to where I've layered all the products on my card. Like in my first card I've again used the Tasteful Labels Dies as a layer with the Classic Christmas DSP. To make this label a but longer I cut it in half and then stretched it apart under the circle. Over the Tasteful Label piece I've layered another piece of the Classic Christmas DSP and some ribbon, die cuts and trim.

For my little scene in the centre I've stamped the tree stamp on some Shimmery White cardstock with Black Stazon and then coloured in the trees using a Water Painter and Just Jade and Soft Suede Ink. I've then used on of the Curvy Dies to layer some 'hills' and then die cut all the layers using one of the Stitched Shapes Dies. I've finished off my scene with the small star stamps embossed with Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder. The 'Merry Christmas' sentiment and for a little something 'extra' one of the Gold Hoop Emebllishments from the Forever Greenery Suite in the Annual Catalouge.

These products make it so that you can create projects all year round for your loved ones and friends, making the range of products so versatile for every occasion.

These exclusive and early-release products give you all a glimpse into the look and feel of the Stampin' Up! 2021 January - June Mini Catalogue. If these products are anything to go by then it will be an amazing catalogue! I can't wait to see the rest of it!

Just remember that the Curvy Christmas Stamp Set and the Classic Christmas DSP are limited-time products so when they are gone, they're gone! Click HERE to get your hands on all these fantastic products today!

Next up on the hop is the ever amazing, ever lovely Stesha Bloodhart in the U.S. I love what she has done with these products for this hop, well I love what she does every hop. I'm sure you will love her project as much as what I do. Click on the next button to hop on over!
