Today we are showcasing the hand-painted imagery in a rich, cool colour pallet. We hope that you will get swept away in a flurry of creative ideas to inspire you with this amazing suite.
I've got three projects for you today with two cards and a gift tag and hopefully my projects today will inspire you in your Christmas season creations. I must say that I struggled to make my projects today. As we are nearing the summer season here, today was 35c ((95F), in Australia my mind is thinking about jumping in the swimming pool and not rugging up to go to the snow. So with that I hope that I've done this suite justice for some wintery creations.
My first card uses one of the snowflake images from the Snowflake Wishes Stamp Set for some repeat stamping to create my own background. I've stamped Balmy Blue ink on Balmy Blue Cardstock for that tone on tone look. I've also used a stamping sponge to then sponge around the edge of my stamped background piece to create more of a luxurious look. I've then embossed this piece with the Subtle 3D embossing folder and then embossed splatters of White Stampin' Emboss Powder to add to that snow 'falling' look.
I've finished off the card with a sentiment panel using the Stitched Nested Labels Dies. I've layered some snowflake die cuts from the So Many Snowflakes dies in the Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper and Shimmery White and then added a sentiment using parts of sentiments from the Snowflake Wishes Stamp Set and the Snow Wonder Stamp Set. I've finished it off with some Linen Thread, Seaside Spray Scalloped Linen Ribbon, and the stunning Blue Adhesive-Backed Gems.
My next card I've used the Emboss Resist technique. I embossed the snowflakes from the Snowflake Wishes stamp set with Clear Stampin' Emboss powder and then with Balmy Blue Ink and a Stampin' Sponge I lightly sponged the ink onto Shimmery White cardstock. I made the ink darker at the edges and left the ink to look almost white in the centre of the card for a gorgeous ombre look. Over the sponged ink I splattered some droplets of water and this also gave a look of snow 'falling'.
I die cut the Wintry Label from the So Many Snowflakes Dies in Shimmery White cardstock and then trimmed around it with my paper trimmer to make a Wintry Label 'frame'. I infilled the label with Vellum and then accented the snowflakes in the label with some Balmy Blue Glimmer Snowflakes. I you haven't got some of the Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper, you must get some as it is oh so stunning! Again, I've finished off the card with parts of sentiments from the Snowflake Wishes Stamp Set and the Snow Wonder Stamp Set, Seaside Spray Scalloped Linen Ribbon, Snowflake Splendor Ribbon and the stunning Blue Adhesive-Backed Gems.
My last project for you is a quick tag using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. Again, using Balmy Blue cardstock and Balmy Blue Ink, I've stamped some of the snowflakes, more randomly this time, for a gorgeous and fun background.
Then after adding a small piece of Shimmery White Cardstock I've layered some of the Snowflake dies in various types of cardstock for snowfilled festive look. I'm just loving the sparkle of that Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper! It's just gorgeous! Finished off with the sentiment from the Snowflake Wishes Stamp Set and the Seaside Spray Scalloped Linen Ribbon.
I do hope that I've given you some creative inspiration using this stunning suite! Just by layering some of the snowflake die cuts on some cardstock you have a stunning festive card for some one. Add some of the Blue Adhesive-Backed Gems and the Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper and you've got something really special for that special friend. With all these amazing products that coordinate together so well you really don't need much to create something amazing!
