Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Corporate Blog Post | Forever Greenery Suite

Hello there, stamping friends! Rochelle Blok here from Melbourne, Australia. I have the pleasure of sharing my projects with you today for the Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team.
Today I’m showing off the beautiful and amazing Forever Greenery Suite Collection from the 2020–2021 Annual Catalogue. This suite makes beautiful projects that can be used for any project, all year round.

I am featuring three cards for you using the same “fun fold” or “fancy fold” window gatefold cards. It’s one technique with three different looks. I don’t always use a “fancy fold” when making my cards, but when I do, they really add a nice touch to any card.

Most of you know how to make a gatefold or “double Z” card; to make a window gatefold, line your die up centrally with the first score line and die cut. You fold the two halves of the card back together to position the die on the second side while at the same time lining the die up with the first cut. This will ensure that your die lines up evenly on both sides of the card. Use whatever shape you like to make the window. For my three cards today, I used one of the circles from the Layering Circles Dies.

For those of you that are more visual check out the tutorial HERE on how to make these Window Gatefold Cards.

My first card for you today starts with a Pretty Peacock Cardstock base. I embossed the front of the “z” fold with one of the Greenery Embossing Folders. How beautiful are those leaves embossed on the Pretty Peacock Cardstock? And then when you add some gold splatter on top of that using Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. The double embossing really adds that extra WOW.
The Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper belly band holds the card shut. To finish the band, I layered a Vellum Cardstock die- cut circle, a piece from the Forever Gold Laser-Cut Specialty Paper, a Mint Macaron Cardstock die-cut piece using the Tasteful Labels Dies, Just Jade In Color 1/4" (6.4 mm) 2020–2022 In Color Ribbon, gold thread from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack, and a Shimmery White Cardstock, Stitched Shapes circle stamped with Pretty Peacock Classic ink and the Forever Fern Stamp Set. Last but not least is the “Hello” sentiment embossed with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Basic Black Cardstock.

Once you slide the belly band off, there is a sentiment inside. Lift the flap to write a personalized message that can’t be seen through the window.

My second card uses Just Jade Cardstock for the base layers and then one of the panel pieces from the Forever Gold Laser-Cut Speciality Paper. I held the card closed and adhered the panel piece to the front. Once adhered, I cut the panel piece down the center with the Paper Trimmer so that the gold panel piece became two pieces. The Just Jade, Shimmery White, and gold accent pieces are so stunning together. I think that will be a color combo I’ll be using a lot in the near future! I’m loving it!!!

This time the belly band was made with Shimmery White Cardstock and embossed with one of the embossing folders from the Greenery Embossing Folders. To the side is a cluster of pieces using the Forever Flourishing Dies, Forever Gold Laser-Cut pieces, leaves cut from the Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper, and some gold trim from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack. I finished it off with a Shimmery White Cardstock banner die cut using the Tasteful Labels Dies, finished off with an embossed sentiment on Basic Black Cardstock.

My last card for you today uses the same window gatefold “fun fold,” but this time I used a square format. The base layers start with Shimmery White Cardstock. I layered over that with a striped pattern from the Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper. This would have to be my favorite pattern in the Designer Series Paper. The stripes in all of those Stampin’ Up! green colors are so gorgeous. It’s a pity there are only two sheets in the pack! I splattered Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder over the Designer Series Paper.

I love the Shimmery White Cardstock card base and the Pretty Peacock on the inside. The contrast between the white and a darker color like Pretty Peacock is beautiful!
With the belly band for this card, I layered some die-cut circles, the fern fronds from the Forever Gold Laser-Cut Speciality Paper, die cuts from the Forever Flourishing Dies, and some stamped images from the Forever Fern Stamp Set. The Just Jade In Color 1/4" Ribbon and the gold trim from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack are a perfect addition to any project or card using the colors and products from this amazing suite.

I do hope that I’ve inspired you today with the Forever Greenery Suite and “fun folds” to change up the look to your cards. The belly bands and the layering of die cuts and embellishments really make for some truly beautiful cards to send to that extra-special friend or loved one.
Why not make a lovely matching envelope with your cards? I’m sure the recipient will appreciate the extra love and attention.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
