The most fabulous thing about these products is that there is NO MORE FUSSY CUTTING!!! The die sets coordinate with stamps from Sale-a-bration and the Jan-Jun Mini Catalogue, and the DSP Coordinates with a Punch! YAY! YAY! YAY!

My projects today are using the Sending Flowers Dies which coordinate with the 2020 Sale-a-bration FREEBIE Sending you Thoughts Cling Stamp Set. Simply spend $90.00AUD to get the Sale-a-bration item for free. Why not purchase these Sending Flowers Dies, some cardstock, ribbon, trim and some adhesive and you'll easily then be able to the stamp set that coordinates with these dies.

My project today is a my take on the Eclipse Technique that has been around for a while now in the papercrafting circles. I really anted the flowers in the die to pop off the card so this technique is perfect for that.

I've started with a square Basic Black card base and then cut a piece of Fluid 100 Water colour paper to layer over that. I then did a light Pool Party watercolour wash over the cardstock. This water colour wash looks a bit like the sky over the flowers. I then cut a 4" circle in the water colour paper.

This circle I saved to run though my die cutting machine with the large circle die from the Sending Flowers Die for all the 'negative' pieces. Making sure all the pieces stayed in the die I put adhesive on all the 'negative' pieces and then, turning the die over, adhered these pieces onto the card. Making sure all the pieces are stuck down on the cardstock very gently lift the die up making sure all your pieces are stuck down.

Again, cutting another 4' circle, this time out of Basic Black cardstock I die cut the Basic Black layer. Then again on a scrap piece of Watercolour paper, using the large circle die and the smaller flower pieces die cut the next layer. The Basic Black layer is then adhered to the card with Dimensionals to give that 'raised, popped up' look.

On the scrap watercolour die cut layer I coloured the stems, using an Aqua Painter, with Garden Green ink. Then stems were snipped from the die cut piece and adhered over the Basic Black layer. The flower water colour pieces I coloured with Blushing Bride, Daffodil Delight and Highland Heather. Over the top I brushed some Clear Wink of Stella for some added shimmer and sparkle. These were then added on top of the stem layer for a pretty spring garden look.

The card was then finished off with some Linen Thread, Sahara Sand Woven Thread Trim, Very Vanilla Scalloped Lace Trim, Basic Pearls and a layering of the banner dies, one which I trimmed down, from the Sending Flowers Dies.

I just love the prettiness of this card and how those flowers almost just jump off the card.

  2. This is amazing, Rochelle! I think you must have a lot of patience, dealing with all those small pieces but the result is so worth the effort. The pop the black gives is stunning.
