Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop | From My Heart

Hello there stamping friends. Welcome to the first official Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop for 2020. I'm so excited for this day, that it has finally arrived and I'm super excited to be sharing my creations with you for this year.

International readers please use the translate feature to translate to your language.

For our first official blog hop for the 2020 Artisan Design Team we are sharing all the love with the gorgeous products from the From My Heart Suite which can be found in the 2020 Stampin' Up! Jan - June Mini Catalogue, Pgs. 8 - 10.

This stunning suite is full of the gorgeous Real Red and Flirty Flamingo colours and is so very perfect for Valentines Day cards, packaging, treat bags and more with fun and playful products.

While the suite is full of red and pink colours I wanted to team the suite products up with Smoky Slate and Basic Black to tone down those 'pretty colours' for projects that you could give to your boyfriend or Husband with out being too in your face pink and red.

For my card I started with the Smoky Slate card base and then layered on that some of the From My Heart Specialty DSP and then some more layers of Smoky Slate. I stamped repeatedly the word 'Love,' from the Heartfelt Stamp Set and then flicked over that the brush tip end of the Smoky Slate Stampin' Write Marker.

How gorgeous is the Heart Doily? These come in Colour on the front - Flirty Flamingo and Real Red, and then white on the other side which you can colour to use on any project you desire. Layered over the Heart Doily is a Vellum heart punched out using the Heart Punch Pack Punches, some more DSP, Real Red 3/8" Double- Stitched Satin Ribbon, Linen Thread and Silver Metallic Thread and then Happy Valentines Day Heart also from the Heartfelt stamp set which I heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder on Basic Black cardstock.

My mini white Pizza Box has been created in a similar way to my card. This makes the projects a bit 'matchy-matchy', which I love and really adds to the coordination of the card and the treat box. I just changed up the DSP in the box as to what I used on the card. The colours in both DSP patterns are the same so you still get that colour coordination but by changing up a few little things you get a bit of a different look.

Both projects were finished off with the super pretty and super gorgeous From My Heart Faceted Gems, which are so perfect to finish off any project when you want that added bling.

I hope that you like both my projects today and you have been inspired to get creating with this stunning suite. It still may feel like Valentine’s Day is a while away, we are all still getting over Christmas, right? But if you want to make something special for your Valentine, you may want to start now so that you have something made in time.

While these products do lean towards Valentine's Day, you don't have to exclusively use them just for that day. Make a project for your best friend or even for your children to convey how much you love them. I'm sure they would appreciate a card or treat from you using these products too.

  3. Beautiful! Love the Smoky Slate used to tone down the brights and the pops of black. The grungy splatter helps make it 'male-appropriate' too, I think.
