TGIF Challenge #TGIFC11 - Watercolor Wings

It's been a while now since I've entered into a card challenge. I've been busy creating for the design teams that I'm on and that doesn't always leave me time to create just for myself.

I've done a big clean up of my craft space and done a little reorganising and I just wanted to get in there and create. It's amazing how a clean up of your crafting space and re-energise your creative flow. Now I have to remember where I put everything!

I've been watching the new card challenge blog TGIF Challenge for a few weeks and have really wanted to participate and this week I can.

This weeks challenge is a sketch challenge.

And this is my card

I've used the Watercolour Wings stamp set on vellum with Melon Mambo (stamped off once) and Gold Embossing Stampin' Emboss powder.

I did originally have a layer of the beautiful English Garden DSP behind the Hello Honey circle but it was just too busy. Sometimes less is more, isn't it?

Its all finished off with one of my most favourite new accessories Gold Metallic Thread. I can't make a card at the moment and not put that stuff on it. Just love it!!

Thanks for Stopping By!
Below is a list of all the items that I used in this project. If you live in Australia and would like to purchase and of these items used then just click on the image and you will be directed to my online store.

  2. Rochelle this is just beautiful. I'm envious of your skill at bringing so many fun and vibrant colours together in one design and making them just work so well together! Great use of the sketch. So glad you could play at TGIF this week!

    1. Thanks Jennifer! I just picked some of the colours of the English Garden DSP piece that I was going to use but then took it off in the end. They all still seemed to work together even though I wasn't using the DSP anymore so I left it that way. Looking forward to playing along again!
