It's blog hop time with The Stamp Review Crew and this week we are showcasing the Mixed Bunch stamp set.
If you are following along on the hop you may have joined me from the lovely Lisa Young or you may have started here with me. Either way you are in for a treat to see the creativity and imagination of myself and all of the other Stamp Review Crew. If you get lost on the hop Click here or click on the banner at the top of the post and this will give you the list of all the 'hoppers' in The Stamp Review Crew.
I must admit that this stamp set has thrown me a little bit. I think in my mind I'm still in Christmas card mode and just couldn't quite think beyond that. I really had to make a mental shift in my mind to do something non-Christmas!
I've made three cards for this hop and let me just say that my first card started out VERY different in my mind than what I actually created.
Originally this card was going use Crisp Cantaloupe and Night of Navy and have stamping on a window sheet with some colouring with the Blendablilities but it just wasn't working. I don't know how my original idea changed to this one but I just started playing and this one worked.
My next card uses the beautiful Flowerpot DSP. I thought it would go nicely with the 'flower' theme of the Mixed Bunch stamp set
I do love to use my layers! I have used it a few times but I do love how you can fold the stunning Mossy Meadow Ribbon to look like leaves. I really love this ribbon! So pretty!
My last card is a quick and easy card. I masked off part of the card so I could stamp the Hardwood Stamp in the section across the middle, sponge around the edges and then added the rest of the elements of the card.
The flowers was coloured with the Cherry Cobbler Blendabilies just to give it another element.

Fantastic collection! Love all the layers and texture in the first one.
ReplyDeleteGreat cards, Rochelle! You really show off the versatility of this set. I love your ribbon leaves!
ReplyDeleteLovely cards!
ReplyDeleteAll are so pretty, but that first one (night of navy) is really gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThese are fantastic and really show off this set. My favorite is the first one but I love all things antique looking :)
ReplyDeleteRochelle, I love the Shabby Chic look your first card has, and how crisp and clean your second creation turned out. Two entirely different looks from the same set! Very creative!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, gorgeous work! Love the texture and color (really everything) on the first card and the simple beauty of the second. The pop of color on the flower is an unexpected WOW. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteFantastic cards, Rochelle! I love how you show a different style with each card - collage, crisp and clean, and slightly distressed for the last one. Great job of highlighting this set beautifully!
ReplyDeleteI like brights, so I think the second one is my fav. Hard to choose!
Beautiful cards! I love the vintage look, the fresh look, and your third card looks so different and unique. I love it!
ReplyDeleteRochelle, your cards are beautiful. You managed to create 3 cards for 3 different styles.
ReplyDeleteWow! Great designs, Rochelle! You truly showed the diversity of this set! I couldn't pick a favorite...they are all beautiful!
ReplyDeleteRochelle, every single one of these cards is FANTASTIC! I especially like the Hardwood masked stamping and the coloring on the third card. Good show my friend :)
