Hello there stamping friends! Happy Friday! Welcome and thanks for joining me on my blog today. Today we over at Just Add Ink have a fabulous inspiration picture challenge - Just Add Ink #630 | Inspiration Picture Challenge.
The inspiration picture has a lot of red with lots of different images combined into one so there is definitely a lot that will inspire you. I'm loving the country vibe that comes from this weeks inspiration pic. The thing that really caught my eye in the image was all the gingham. Gingham is so on trend right now and I'm loving it.
So with that I really wanted to feature gingham in my card today but I only had the black and white gingham from the retired Pattern Party DSP pack #UseYourStash . Black and white is such a classic look and really makes for a classy creation.
I started the card off some Basic White Layers and embossed the layer with another retired product - Winter Snow Embossing Folder. I'm really loving and getting into at the moment mixing retired products with current products for a fun look. I think with the current economic environment where people can't always by all the new products, it's great to show people that you don't always have to have the newest products to make gorgeous progects - hence the hashtag #UseYourStash .
Over the Basic White and gingham layers I've lightly splattered the Real Red Stampin' Write Maker for an added 'layer' and then combined layers of ribbon, die cuts, twine, embellishments and card stock for a Christmas Wreath. With all that red and green in the inspiration picute how could you not make a Christmas card.
Here's a fun tip. Don't have a coloured embellishment to coordinate with your project? Get some Basic Pearls or some Iridescent Pearls and colour over them with a Stampin' Blend Alcohol Marker. You'll always have the right colour embellishment!
The Just Add Ink Design Team
have lots of amazing creations for you and to show you what inspired
them. You'll be surprised at all the different projects we came up with.
We hope that you'll join in this weeks challenge. I can't wait to see
you join in and to see what has inspired you this week.
