Hello there stamping friends! Happy Friday! Welcome and thanks for joining me on my blog today. It's so good to have you here. I hope you're having a fabulous day and that you have all been safe and well. Today we over at Just Add Ink have another creative challenge for you. This week its a fantstic Just Chose Two Challenge, chosen by Just Add Ink team member Nikki Spencer. - Just Add Ink #592 | Just Choose Two Challenge.
I do love a 'Just Choose Two' challenge and this one is no different. I've chosen to use Patterned Paper and Layers (lots of them) for my project for you today. I've used some of the Stampin' Up! Heart & Home DSP and then combined lots of layers to make a beautiful tulip birthday card using the oh so stunning Stampin' Up! Tulips Dies.
Normally I love a white card base for my cards but this time I decided to go for a Smoky Slate card base. I loved the grey in the Heart & Home DSP and thought it looked better on the Smoky Slate as opposed to Basic White. The Smoky Slate grey makes for a gorgeous back ground for the super pretty, Petal Pink Tulips.
As I really wanted the tulips to be the main focus of the card I've added minimal embellishments to finish off the card, using only Linen Thread and Basic Rhinestone Jewels. The sentiment comes from the Blessings of Home stamp set - stamped in Petal Pink Ink and then each word cut out for a fun and modern look.
There are lots of AMAZING creations from the rest of the Just Add Ink Design Team on the JAI Blog. Go and check out to see what 'two' elements they all used this week and then while you are there you can see how you can enter your project. Can't wait to see what 'two' you used.
So pretty! I especially love the Smokey Slate background. The pink tulips really pop against the gray!
