When I saw this week's challenge, though, over at TGIF, I just couldn't resist. This week they have a gorgeous inspiration challenge. From the picture, you could incorporate some watercolour wash, use some of the pretty colours or even add some florals. I've gone for some pretty florals. Any opportunity to add some florals to a card and you've got me.
I'm creating again with the Beautiful Brushstrokes dies, as I did in my last post, but instead of layering three colours from dark to light, I've just used the one colour for the layered roses. How pretty do the roses look? Gorgeous.
My card started with some soft colours from the Subtle and Neutrals Stampin' Up! colour families, Petal Pink, Soft Sea Foam and Crumb Cake, and then I added the beautiful contrast of the bold Night of Navy.
For some added interest when layering up the card base I added one of the super pretty Ornate Layers Dies. I kept the die cut layer the same colour as the other layers so that it blends in with the rest of the Crumb Cake cardstock but you can still see the pretty detail of the border with out it overtaking the whole card.
I've finished off the card with the Night of Navy ribbon from the Playing with Patterns Ribbon Combo Pack, some of the Gold Metallic Thread from the Forever Greenery Ribbon Combo Pack. A few of the Pearl Basic Jewels is the final finishing touch. Pretty, pretty, pretty!
Absolutely exquisite! Love your color combo too!
