On Stage Prize Patrol | Under My Umbrella Blog Hop

Hello there stamping friends. Welcome to a special blog hop showing one of the amazing new stamp sets from the 2020 Jan - June Mini Catalogue - Under my Umbrella. We are Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all over the world who won the Under my Umbrella at the recent On Stage demonstrator event back in Nov. We were all lucky badge no. 6!

Even though the stamp set is called Under My Umbrella, what stood out to me the most was the gorgeous pair of what we call here in Australia 'gumboots'. The next thing that drew my eye was all the cute little flowers. And because these images are what we call open line artwork I felt they were perfect for a soft water colour look.

I've use a Spring/Summer colour combo for my card using Coastal Cabana, Flirty Flamingo and Daffodil Delight. These colours are gorgeous together and really make for a fun and pretty project.

I've started with a Coastal Cabana water colour wash base on my favourite cardstock - Shimmery White and then embossed that layer with the Subtle 3D Embossing folder for some added texture.

I heat embossed all the images with White Stampin' Emboss powder and then coloured them in using an Aqua Painter and picking the colour up off the lid of the ink pad. Once all the images were coloured in I then fussy cut them all out with paper snips and arranged the images on the Shimmery White Panel for a fun and pretty arrangement.

I just love the soft and spring like look to this project and the sentiment on the Basic Black panel makes for a fabulous contrast against the soft look. Super gorgeous and super pretty!

Please hop on next to the fabulous Lotte Noordzij in the Netherlands for her amazing creations. Make sure you follow the whole hop around for all the fantastic projects using this set. You won't be disappointed!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Happy Stamping!
