Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop | Sale-a-bration 2020 Sneak Peak

Hello there stamping friends. A big welcome to you today for our special Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team blog hop showing you what is on offer for 2020 Sale-a-bration and the products that you can get for FREE!

Sale-A-Bration pre-earn for is finally here from 3 December 2019 to 2 January 2020! This means that demonstrators can earn items in the Sale-A-Bration Shop offering early. For every $90 AUD/$110 NZD or $180 AUD/$220 NZD you spend, you choose a free item from the Sale-A-Bration brochure that matches the level you spent. Demonstrators can even use the pre-order of the January–June Mini catalogue and purchase items from that catalogue or any other current catalogue, and earn free Sale-A-Bration products! If you aren’t a demonstrator yet, this is a great sneak peek to see what is in store for Sale-A-Bration beginning 3 January 2020!

We've got so many projects to show you and you'll want to get all the 2020 Sale-a-bration offerings!

I've got two cards for you today using the Happy Birthday to You Sale-a-bration stamp set. Spend $90 AUD, between 3rd Jan - 31 March 2020, and you can get this gorgeous cake stamp set for FREE. It's all pretty and florally and all round gorgeous.

I've used all the same products on both cards but changed up the layout and have shown how you can use just some of the flowers that are on the beautiful cake.

I just love to colour on coloured cardstock but sometimes when you try to do this with the ink colour straight onto the cardstock the ink colour changes and even gets a little lost into the cardstock background. The best way to colour onto coloured cardstock is to cover your image first with a Whisper White Craft Ink 'undercoat' layer and then add your chosen colour over top. Check out my Instagram Step-By-Step Tip HERE on how you can achieve this different look.

I first embossed the image with White Stampin' Emboss Powder and then 'white washed' the image with Whisper White Craft Ink and an Aqua Painter. I left the actual 'cake' part of the image white to make it look like it is covered in 'fondant' icing and then used Gorgeous Grape, Mossy Meadow, Crushed Curry, for the flowers, and Crumb Cake for the cake stand base. For some added layering and dimension I fussy cut some of the flowers that I had heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder on Vellum and then layered them behind the flowers in the main image. Pretty!!

For my second card using this gorgeous set, I've made it a bit more intricate and avid by only using the flowers from the cake image. I stamped and heat embossed 4 of the cake images and then using the same colouring technique as the first card I coloured in the flowers. Once coloured in I then fussy cut them out and then arranged them on the card as an accent to the rectangle sentiment panel. How gorgeous do the flowers look with the Crumb Cake colour underneath and then the pretty colour on top?

This set is perfect for those that love to colour, like me, and can be used with any colouring medium. Why not try colouring the cake with Stampin' Blends or Watercolouring to really change up the look. You'll be surprised at each different look with each different colouring medium.

Just a reminder that pre-order/pre-earn is an exclusive benefit for demonstrators to get their hands on products earlier, so they are ready to go for the launch of the fabulous Sale-a-bration promotion. If you want to get your hands on prouct earlier than everyone else why not join up. You've got nothing to loose. Just ask me how or join up HERE with me!

  2. Quick question - what did you use to add the color on top of the white wash? A sponge dauber? The Aqua painter again? Or Blender Pen? Colored pencils? This is just beautiful and I'd like to try it myself. Thank you!
