Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Instagram Tip | Faux 'Wax' Seal Technique

Hi there stamping friends! Hello and welcome to my blog. I've got a fun technique/tip for you today using Stampin' Up! products.

I just love using Stampin' Emboss powder on nearly all of my projects so it seemed fitting that I share with you today a tip on how you can use the Stampin' Emboss powders in a different and unique way.

Did you know that Stampin’ Emboss Powders are perfect to create faux wax seals for a fun and on-trend look an I'm going to run through today how you can achieve this fun 'embellishment'.

You will need a -
All products are Stampin' Up! unless stated otherwise.

Follow these steps and you’ll be creating a faux wax seal of your own.

1. Put some VersaMark Ink Refill on a Stampin’ Spot and then dab a small square of ink in the corner of a Silicone Craft Sheet.
2. Pour a small amount of Copper Emboss Powder onto the inked-up spot of the Silicone Craft Sheet. 3. Using a Heat Tool, heat the powder from underneath the Craft Sheet, directly under the powder. This prevents the powder from blowing all over the place. Once the powder is mostly melted, you can finish heating from the top.
4. Ink up your stamp with VersaMark to prevent sticking to the molten embossing powder and stamp into the slightly cooled heated powder.
5. Gently lift the stamp off the cooled embossing powder.
6. Wait for the embossed image to cool completely before lifting it off the Silicone Craft Sheet.
7. Either leave the faux wax seal in the rustic shape for a unique and natural look or trim it up to your desired shape. Add your faux wax seal to your project for your own handmade embellishment.

Try all different shaped stamps for a fun look. They don't have to be round.
What stamps will you try?

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Happy Stamping!
