Mystery Box Part 3

This is the last post on the Mystery Box I made this year. If you want to see the other 2 posts on my Mystery Box Click Here for Part 1 and Click Here for Part 2.

The last two parts of the Mystery Box were for the months of November and December

November
Card Candy Embelishments plus some 'candy or chocolate' as a treat.

My receipient also recieved a block of family Kit Kat and a block of Cadbury Dream these being some of her favourite chocolates!

December
Christmas Card and a Christmas Decoration
There is an ornament in the gift box but I forgot to take a photo of it before I put it in the box and decorated it. It was then too hard to get the belly band off to take the ornament out of the box. LOL!

Note : Some ideas for this Mystery Box were CASE'd but I'm not sure where all the ideas came from. I tried to change other people ideas up to make them my own. If I have CASE'd one of your ideas and haven't acknowledged it please let me know and I'll put the idea down as yours.

Stamp Review Crew: Mixed Bunch Edition

It's blog hop time with The Stamp Review Crew and this week we are showcasing the Mixed Bunch stamp set.

If you are following along on the hop you may have joined me from the lovely Lisa Young or you may have started here with me. Either way you are in for a treat to see the creativity and imagination of myself and all of the other Stamp Review Crew. If you get lost on the hop Click here  or click on the banner at the top of the post and this will give you the list of all the 'hoppers' in The Stamp Review Crew.

I must admit that this stamp set has thrown me a little bit. I think in my mind I'm still in Christmas card mode and just couldn't quite think beyond that. I really had to make a mental shift in my mind to do something non-Christmas!

I've made three cards for this hop and let me just say that my first card started out VERY different in my mind than what I actually created.

Originally this card was going use Crisp Cantaloupe and Night of Navy and have stamping on a window sheet with some colouring with the Blendablilities but it just wasn't working. I don't know how my original idea changed to this one but I just started playing and this one worked.

My next card uses the beautiful Flowerpot DSP. I thought it would go nicely with the 'flower' theme of the Mixed Bunch stamp set

I do love to use my layers! I have used it a few times but I do love how you can fold the stunning Mossy Meadow Ribbon to look like leaves. I really love this ribbon! So pretty!

My last card is a quick and easy card. I masked off part of the card so I could stamp the Hardwood Stamp in the section across the middle, sponge around the edges and then added the rest of the elements of the card.

The flowers was coloured with the Cherry Cobbler Blendabilies just to give it another element.

Anniversary Card

Friends of my husband and I recently had a party for their 15th Wedding Anniversary.
I wanted to make a special card for them for this special occasion.
Out came the Blendabilities!

I'm still trying to master the art of the Blendabilites but it is so therapeutic and relaxing to get out the markers and just colour for a few hours. Love it!

The frayed ribbon on the left side of the card is left over from a previous card when I used just the threads of the ribbon to embellish a card. Nothing goes to waste!

Fold the beautiful Mossy Meadow ribbon over and it looks like leaves. Isn't it a stunning colour?!

If you would like to get the 'I Like You' stamp set used in this card, this is a hostess set. So book a party with me, invite your friends for some crafting time together and you too could get this stamp set too!

Thanks for Looking!

Stamp Review Crew: Endless Wishes Edition

This is my first hop with The Stamp Review Crew and I'm so excited to be the newest member of the crew. For those that don't know The Stamp Review Crew have a blog hop on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month, show casing one stamp set. One stamp set, so many ideas.

This hop we are using the Endless Wishes stamp set.

 Very Christmassy!
Not that we have snow here in Australia at Christmas due to it being our summer! Can sometimes be 40 degrees (104F) on Christmas Day! HOT! I still love the idea of snow and a white Christmas and all that entails!

If you are following along on the hop you may have joined me from the fabulous Dawn Tidd or you may have started here with me. Either way you are in for a treat to see the creativity and imagination of myself and all of the other Stamp Review Crew. If you get lost on the hop Click here  or click on the banner at the top of the post and this will give you the list of all the 'hoppers' in The Stamp Review Crew.

I've create two projects for this hop. A 3-D frame and a card!

On an Australian and New Zealand Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Only  Facebook Group, a fellow demonstrator, Pat Carr, showed us how to make a shadow box frame using a 12"x12" piece of cardstock. If you would like more info on how to make these Shadow Box frames please contact Pat here. I used the Shadow Box as a base as per Pat's instructions and then embellished it with my own design.

Using two of the words from the Endless Wishes set.

I inked up the 'Merry' with a Mossy Meadow Marker as I didn't want the 'tails' of the word. Markers are fantastic to be able to ink up only a certain part of a stamp.
