A little bit of cuteness and a little bit of sparkle...

And who doesn't love a little bit of cuteness and sparkle? It's my little nieces 1st birthday on Saturday. I know she won't appreciate my card at all but I'm sure her mum will.

I first saw this idea on Pinterest and I knew I had to CASE it and make it my own! And I think I have done that!

I've had the Dress Up Framelits Dies (#130101) for a while now but due to having to make all my swaps for the South Pacific Stampin' Up! Convention I haven't had time to use it until now.

How cute is that! At Convention we were inspired to use more Vellum and it makes a perfect fairy skirt and wings! I edged the vellum with the Silver Sparkle Dazzling Details to give it that silver sparkle. You do need to wait for the Dazzling Details to dry before you the skirt and wings together otherwise you may have Dazzling Details everywhere!

Stampin' Up! Convention 2013 Swap No. 3

This is my third and last swap. I've made a small little 'pouch' that would make a cute party favour for either a birthday, baby shower, wedding.

I used two die cuts from the Two Tags Bigz Die, scored the end at 2.5cm folded them under and stuck them together to form the 'pouch'. Inside I placed a small amount of sweets in a bag, taped it up and then stuck the bag to the inside so that it wouldn't fall out.

Don't you just love the addition of the Delicate Details Lace Tape down the front too! Makes it look so pretty!

Till next week when I give you all the Convention highlights!

Stampin' Up! Convention 2013 Swap No.1

We'll I'm off to the Stampin' Up! Convention and this is my first time attending. I'm very excited and a little nervous to as this will be the longest I have been away from my hubby and kids on my own.

At the convention event other demonstrators and their guests make 'swaps' to swap with other demos. They can either be a card front or a small 3-D item. Over the next 3 days (if the post I have scheduled post when they are supposed to) I'll show you the swaps I made.

I made 3 different designs of swaps, making 25 of each because I think it would drive me a bit batty to make 75 of the one swap. Don't they say variety is the spice of life.

I made a wine glass charm , to put at the base of your wine glass to tell its yours, using our Soda Pop Tops and the stamp set Collage Curios and some cute packaging as well. These are in our current Seasonal Catalogue which finishes 30th June. So get yours before they are gone.
Till tomorrow for my next swap!

For My Oma Stippled Blossoms

This year my grandmother (or Oma as us dutchies call them) turns 85! I'm going to make the hour drive down the country to visit her for this special occasion.

I decided to use the beautiful stamp set Stippled Blossoms. I've had this stamp set in my stash for a while but haven't used it yet.

I got some inspiration from a fantastic Australian Stampin' Up! demo, Narelle Farrugia (Click here to see her blog) by using lots of layers. I love the two step stamping technique of this stamp set too by stamping the lighter colour first and then the darker on top.

I just love the way it turned out and hope Oma likes it too!

Rain or Shine Umbrella

After yesterday's ESAD blog hop I've got tonnes of creative ideas mulling around in my head. One of these ideas was to use the Rain an Shine Stamp Set and the Sunshine and Sprinkles Designer Series Paper.

I really wanted to use the cloud page of the Designer Series Paper as the main layer and then put various sized layers on top. It isn't how I first imagined it would turn out but I really love what I have put together!

Doesn't the DSP really lend itself to bright colours! And how cute is that umbrella finished of with the little flower!

I'm no.10 on the hop and I'm so glad you could join us!

I've decided to make 3 cards today using the Oh Hello stamp set and co-ordinating Framelits Dies - Ovals Collection.

Oh Hello Stamp Set and Oval Collection Framelits Bundle

My first card uses some layers of the Tea for Two Designer Series Paper also from the seasonal catalogue.

Don't you just love the flower trim. It's so pretty and can be dyed to any colour you want!

My next card uses a few layers of the new Paper Doilies and then layering the stamped elements on top all finished off with a row of Pearl Basic Jewels.

I 'fussy' cut the flower out and then popped it up on the chevron oval with some dimensionals.

My last card I wanted to use lots of layers of the Framelits Dies - Oval Collection. I just love the way this card has turned out! Hubby said he liked this one alot too!

Here is a close up of all the ovals.
