Sesonal Catalogue Sneak Peak - Beginning 1st Feb

Today I've made a card with some of the new products coming out in the Stampin' Up! new Seasonal Catalogue, going live 1st February 2013. There are lots of beautiful and 'pretty' products coming out and I can't wait for you to see them all!

The card I have made is using a stamp set called Hearts a Flutter, which is perfect for Valentine's Day to make card to give to your special someone. This stamp set also has a co-ordinating Framelits set so you can cut out the images in your Big Shot with ease.

I've also used a stamp set called Itty Bitties to stamp all the hearts in the back ground, which is also in the Seasonal Catalogue.

Dynamic Duos #34 - Melon Mambo and Island Indigo

Dynamic Duos Colour Challenge is back for 2013 and I'm loving the 'Bright and Sassy' colours they have chosen for this week.

The colours are...

 

 

Only the two colours, otherwise known as "The Dynamic Duo", may be used for your project. Neutrals such as black, white, vanilla, skin colours and kraft are also welcome. 

 

The card I made for this Challenge is...

 

 

 

I've used the stamp set 'Make a Cake' and 'Itty Bitty Banners' and layered the Floral Frames Framelits, Paper Doily Die and the Labels Collection Framelits.

Product Spotlight : Papillon Potpourri and Elegant Butterfly Punch

When I first flicked through the pages of the current Annual Catalogue is was one of the sets that I just 'Had to Have'! I love it so much but with all the Christmas crafts that have been going on I haven't had much time to really play with it!

 

 

There are 6 butterfly images as well as one set of antennae. Three of the images can be punch out with the co-ordinating punch Elegant Butterfly Punch.

I made this card using this great set and punch is...

I layered the stamped butterfly image with the co-ordinating card stock colour.

 

 

I folded the wings up slightly too, to make the butterflies look like they were 'fluttering'. Love the way they look.

Product Spotlight : Summer Afternoon with Sale-a-bration Sneak Peak

It has been a while since I have been on here. Like the rest of us I also have been busy with Christmas and all that is involved with that. I didn't even get to send any Christmas cards out :(, how sad is that!

I've now had a few peaceful days in which I have spent crafting! Yay! Kids outside with Hubby and me inside at my crafting space! Good times!

Festive Friday #48

Well it's been a while since I've posted on here. Sometimes life takes over from our crafting and we have to put that first. Especially at this time of year when there is lots of Christmas/end of year/end of school things happening.

Over at Nicole Defendorf's Festive Friday Challenge (Click Here) the challenge this week is a Product Challenge being ... PUNCH ART! YAY! I love punch art.  I love what can be created with punches and I love that punch art makes your punches so versatile to use in many ways.

My punch art has a Christmas theme with 4 different Christmas characters.

Aren't they cute! Who would have thought you could make all these characters with punches!

Freshly Made Sketches #60 and JAI 143

My card this Friday is made for two challenges - Freshly Made Sketches a sketch challenge and for Just Add Ink a colour challenge this week.

I originally thought the colours from JAI lended themselves to a male card but once I got playing around it didn't end up being that way.

 

 

I love the Papillon Potpourri stamp set and and I think the butterfly turned out stunning stamped in Tangerine Tango.

Product Spotlight - Snow Flurry Bigz Die

Just letting you know that all my Product Spotlights from now on till December 25 will have a Christmas touch to them. So if you are after some Christmas inspiration just keep a look out for my Product Spotlight posts.

 

Today's post is on the beautiful Snow Flurry Bigz Die (Pg 14 in the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalogue Click here to see it).

Add some cool winter cuteness to your cards and projects. The largest snowflake is 9.2 x 9.2cm and the die can cut though multiple sheets of paper, thick materials and even the Stampin' Up! fabric. This is to be used with the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine and Standard Cutting Plates.

 

This die looks fantastic when used with the Stampin' Up! Glimmer Paper (Pg 18 Holiday Catalogue and Pg 160 Annual Catalogue) and that is what I have done with my card here.

 

 

I used the colours Midnight Muse, Pool Party and Whisper White.

 

 

Don't you just love the die cut out in the Silver Glimmer paper! So sparkly! The die is perfect for layering too!
