Hello Stamping Friends. Welcome to a super exciting CASE-ing the Catty Blog Hop. We at CASE-ing the Catty are about CASE-ing the samples from the Stampin' Up! Catalogues (Catty) with a different theme to CASE each week. To CASE is to Copy and Selectively Edit.
If you've come from Rochelle Laird-Smith's blog, welcome; if you've started here with me, also welcome. It's so good to have you here.
This week we are CASE-ing the templates found on pg.17 of the 2026 Stampin' Up! January - April Mini Catalogue.
Do you use the templates in the catalogues? I love the templates in both the Annual and Mini Catalogues. They are a fantastic tool and sometimes just the inspiration that you need to get creating. They really have helped me of late. I'm in a bit of a crafting slump at the moment and by having the templates as a source of inspiration they are just the thing I've needed to get those creative ideas flowing.
It's quite obvious which template I've used for my card today. I was inspired by the top left template but as I do with sketches/templates I've changed it up a little bit to suit my crafting style. I've used products from the 12 Days of Crafting Advent Calendar but you could use whatever products you wanted - new or retired, to recreate this card.
I love that with this card I've used products that were all either pre-printed/pre-embossed or already die-cut. I love these sorts of products ,like the ephemera packs, because it makes for quick crafting. You are only limited by your imagination in how you put them together. Instead of a square on the front of the card like the template I've used a rectangle card and then I've layered the rectangle differently to the square on the front. All round I've kept the basic design on the template, I've just given it a little 'Rochelle' spin.
Next up on the hop is the fabulous Julia Quinn.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
