Just Add Ink #755 | Colour Challenge

 Hey there stamping friends! I'm here today with the Just Add Ink Design Team for the new Just Add Ink Challenge - Just Add Ink #755 | Colour Challenge. This week our colours have been suggested by Just Add Ink Design Team Member, Kerry. 

We've got some blues, yellows, and a touch of grey with Misty Moonlight, Balmy Blue, Smoky Slate, and Lemon Lolly. A beautiful, fresh and fun colour combination. I've used this colour combination to create a pretty floral (yes, florals again!) card. 

I've used the Impressions Abloom Dies, which are part of the Floral Impressions Suite, for my card. I've used these dies for a few projects now, and I love how different each card looks while using the same dies. Check out these other projects HERE, HERE, and HERE.  I've layered the dies on this card today to give each of the flowers a fuller look rather than the flat look without the layering. 

I've used Misty Moonlight for the base layers of the card, along with an embossed Misty Moonlight layer using the Mini Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder. The next layer is one of the labels from the Foiled Frames & Labels Ephemera Pack. These are also part of the Floral Impressions Suite. I was originally just going to add it to the card as is, but I thought embossing it would step up the card, and I love how the label looks embossed. 

I've finished off the card with the spray of flowers across the card, the heat embossed 'lovely', some stamped sentiments, a little touch of the Gold Striped Mesh Ribbon, and some Gems from the Strawberry Slush and Pretty in Pink Gems.

I love how this card turned out and the 'lovely' use of this week's challenge colours.

Just Add Ink #753 | Sketch Challenge

 Hello stamping friends. Happy Friday! I hope you are having a wonderful day. I'm here today with the Just Add Ink Design Team for the new Just Add Ink Challenge - Just Add Ink #753 | Sketch Challenge. This week, our sketch was designed by Just Add Ink Design Team Member Tristan Dawes.

It's a little bit of a different sketch, and I'm not fond of the current orientation, so I adapted the sketch a little to make it my own. I've used the new and beautiful Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape for my card today. I literally received a Stampin' Up! order yesterday morning and the washi tape was in the box so I had to play with it right then and there. It's so pretty! And it's super easy to use to make beautiful creations! Love that!

I've combined the Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape with my new favourite Stampin' Up! colour - 2025 - 2027 In Colour Secret Sea. I love this colour! It's not black, it's not green, it's not navy, but it is all of those colours. It coordinates well with pinks, purples, greens, and golds.

 To use the washi tape on your next creation, place a piece of the washi tape on a piece of Basic White and then use the Extraordinary Flora Die to cut out the floral pieces. Once the pieces have been die-cut, use them on your next creation. It's that simple! 

 

While I have adapted the sketch, I've used most of the elements from the design of the sketch for my interpretation of this week's sketch.

CASE-ing the Catty | ctc#521 | Case Colours from the Florals in Bloom DSP

 Hello Stamping Friends. Welcome to a super exciting CASE-ing the Catty Blog Hop. We at CASE-ing the Catty are about CASE-ing the samples from the Stampin' Up! Catalogues (Catty) with a different theme to CASE each week. To CASE is to Copy and Selectively Edit.

  If you've come from Monique Fielder's blog welcome, if you've started here with me, also welcome. It's so good to have you here. 

This week we are CASE-ing the colours from the Florals in Bloom DSP - Darling Duckling, Petunia Pop, Secret Sea, Strawberry Slush, Summer Splash, and Timid Tiger.

Of the six colours that we are to use this week, I've only used 4. I personally thought it was a little too much to try and fit all the colours on a project. And I may have added a colour too. It's in the list of colours on the DSP but not in our colour list to CASE. Please forgive me. When CASE-ing the Florals in Bloom DSP, why not actually use the Florals in Bloom DSP for your project? The colours are all there. Why make it harder than it has to be?

 Today I've made a 5" x 5" square card for you using the Florals in Bloom DSP and also products from the Florals in Bloom Suite Collection. I've used a Basic White card base and also used Basic White for the layers also and then picked two patterns from the Florals in Bloom DSP that matched the colours that we were to use for our creation this week. The bottom layer is the new Secret Sea colour and the next layer is the returning Strawberry Slush. I love how well these two pattens go together especially with the Basic White layers in between.

 

The next layer I've used the ever classic Stylish Shapes dies to die cut a square and then, its a little hard to tell, I've embossed it with the Mini Corrugated Embossing folder and added some Darling Duckling Splatters. I've finished the card off with some Strawberry Slush and Garden Green Flowers from the Pretty Florals Dies, added the die cut and heat embossed sentiment using the Sweet Blooms Bundle and a few Strawberry Slush Gems.

Online Exclusive Floral Impressions Suite | May | 2025 Artisan Design Team Monthly Project

Hello stamping friends. Group 2 from the Stampin' Up!® 2025 Artisan Design Team has been creating with the May Online Exclusive Floral Impressions Suite this month.

 

This beautiful suite includes

- Floral Impressions 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper

- Foiled Frames & Labels Ephemera Pack

- Impressions Abloom Bundle

- Pressed Flowers Embossing Folder

- Strawberry Slush & Pretty in Pink Gems

Product Colours: Crushed Curry, Darling Duckling, Fresh Freesia, Garden Green, gold, Misty Moonlight, Old Olive, Peach Pie, Pecan Pie, Pool Party, Pretty in Pink, Strawberry Slush

 

 I went with the Pinks and Purples—Strawberry Slush, Pretty in Pink, and Fresh Freesia—and combined them with a colour I haven't used much—Pecan Pie. With these colours together, it made for a different colour combination for me.

 

My first card is a slimline card where I've used a Basic White card base and then layered Pecan Pie, Strawberry Slush, and one of the Floral Impression DSP patterns. Over that, I've then layered another piece of the Floral Impressions DSP. The circles have been die cut with the Stylish Shapes dies and embossed with the stunning Pressed Flowers Embossing Folder. The flowers have been stamped with the Impressions Abloom Stamp Set and then die cut with the Impressions Abloom dies. It's all finished off with some Linen Thread, the Strawberry Slush & Pretty in Pink Gems, and an embossed sentiment.

My second card focuses more on the stunning Impressions Abloom Dies. These dies have some beautiful plush dies that die cut some gorgeous flower and leaf shapes and as well as die cutting the stamped images from the Impressions Abloom Stamp Set. I've used Pecan Pie as the card base and then layered an embossed piece of the Pecan Pie with another of the amazing patterns from the Floral Impressions DSP. Over that I've then used one of the new Foiled Frames & Labels Ephemera pieces with the die cut flower and leaf pieces. I've then finished the card off with some Linen Thread, a stamped and fussy cut sentiment, and some beautiful Strawberry Slush & Pretty in Pink Gems.

My last card is a CAS (clean and simple) card, but I feel the simplicity of the card makes it quite beautiful. The card starts with a layered Pretty in Pink card base, and then I've used one of the borders from the Foiled Frames & Labels Ephemera pieces to add a gorgeous border on the card. The centre oval I've die cut from Basic White cardstock and embossed with the beautiful Pressed Flower Embossing folder. The border of the oval I die cut and layered 4 times to create a thicker border and to make it stand out a little. I've finished the card off with some splatters, the super pretty flower and leaf die cuts, and embossed sentiment, Linen Thread, and some Strawberry Slush & Pretty in Pink Gems.

Just Add Ink #751 | Just Add a Shaker Card

 Hello stamping friends. Happy Friday! I hope you are having a wonderful day. I'm here today with the Just Add Ink Design Team for the new Just Add Ink Challenge - Just Add Ink #751 | Just Add a Shaker Card. This week, Just Add Ink Design Team member Kerry suggested our challenge. 

I've not made many shaker cards, so it is a bit of a challenge for me, too. Check out the only other shaker card that I've ever made HERE. 

I've used products from the newly release Beautiful Gallery Suite that feature in the new 2025 - 2026 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue that went live on the 6th May.  I thought the frames in the Gallery Blooms Dies would be perfect to use for a shaker card and I really wanted to use the 'floral' sheet of DSP from the Beautiful Gallery DSP, so that is where I started with my card today.

I've used the new Secret Sea card stock as the base for my card today. This is one of the colours that coordinates with the Beautiful Gallery DSP and looks like it coordinates with the DSP pattern that I used for the "frame". I love the look of the Secret Sea and every time you look at it, it can look a different colour from Black to Green to Blue.  The top layer of the Secret Sea has been embossed with the gorgeous Damask Designs Embossing Folder.

 Due to the busyness of the DSP and the scattered sequins, I've kept this card quite simple by using some of the dies from the Beautiful Motifs Dies and the Gallery Blooms Dies for a little 'spray' of leaves and flowers to the side, also in colours that coordinate with the DSP. I've then finished off the card with some Linen Thread, and then the 'Hello' from the Beautiful Motifs stamp set. The sequins are from the retired For Everything Fancy Sequins and were just the right pieces to create the shaker part.

2025 Artisan Design Team | Technique Tuesday | Ombre Scrapbook Titles

Hello stamping friends. Today I'm sharing my first Technique Tuesday Tip for the 2025 Artisan Design Team. Stampin' Up! celebrated National Scrapbook Day on 4th May 2025, so all the tips/ techniques that are shared on the Stampin' Up! Facebook and Instagram for Technique Tuesday for the month of May will relate to scrapbooking.

 My tip using the new Party Alphabet Dies was to show you how to create Ombre Letters to use for an Ombre Scrapbook Title. Follow the steps below for you to create your own Ombre letters.

CASE-ing the Catty | ctc#518 | Case Front Cover 2025-2026 Annual Catalogue

This week we are CASE-ing the front cover of the new 2025-2026 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue that goes live to customers this week on 6th May. Yay! New catalogue and new products! Love that!

I was inspired by this sample from the front cover. I love the simplicity of the design with the use of DSP across the front of the card and then the angled flowers with the sentiment in the middle. So with those design elements and the new Floral Impressions DSP, (which will also be available to purchase 6th May as an Online Exclusive), I've created a bright and fun Thank You card.

Floral Impressions 12"x12"DSP

The Floral Impressions DSP showcases bright blooms and lush leaves, while the coordinating pattern sheets provide a delicate touch of texture and contrast. Here for my card I've used some of the patterned sheets as the base layers of the card trying to keep with the same design elements as the sample card. I tore the Darling Duckling design for an added element and for added interest. With that I've layered one of the die cuts from the Impressions Abloom Dies and then embossed the centre panel with the Pressed Flowers Embossing Folder. These two products are part of the Floral Impressions Suite that the Floral Impressions DSP also comes from. With all these products together, it is such an amazing suite!

The flower and leaf images have been fussy cut from the Floral Impressions DSP. The flower images in this DSP are so stunning and they really pop off the card when fussy cut like this. I've added some Impressions Abloom die cut leaves as well for some extra layering.

I've finished the card off with some Linen Thread, an embossed sentiment, and some Gems from the Strawberry Slush & Pretty in Pink Gems. 

I really love how that with one pack of DSP you can make some amazing cards or scrapbook pages with minimal stamping! Stampin' Up! has some stunning DSP packs and they make it easy to make beautiful creations. Let's get to using them!

Just Add Ink #749 | Just Choose Two Challenge

 Hello stamping friends. Happy Friday! I hope you are having a wonderful day. I'm here today with the Just Add Ink Design Team for the new Just Add Ink Challenge -Just Add Ink #749 | Just Choose Two Challenge. This week our Just Choose Two Challenge has been suggested by team member Nikki.

Today for our Just Choose Two challenge (to choose two items to feature on your project) we are choosing from Circles, Cake, and Coffee. I don't have any crafting products that relate to coffee so it was circles and cake for this weeks challenge. When looking for cake crafting products I didn't have much of those either so I went for a bit of a dive into my retired crafting products and found the Piece of Cake stamp set that I think retired in about 2020. It also had a coordinating punch that punched out the cake stand and the cakes (separately). Was a super cute bundle. Do you remember it?

I've combined the retired stamp set with some current and soon to be released products that will be available for customers to purchase from 6th May 2025.

 I've started the card with a Fresh Freesia base and some Fresh Freesia layers and then used the Perennial Postage die cut in Basic White to layer in between. The Basic White in between breaks up the colour and adds some more added interest and elements. On the top Fresh Freesia layer I've embossed it with the new Pressed Flowers Embossing Folder that will be a new Online exclusive on May 6th and then also added some Fresh Freesia splatters. So pretty and super fun!

Over the Fresh Freesia layers I've added some Country Woods DSP. This favourite will be returning in the new catalogue, so Yay! And then on this I've used some Black & Very Vanilla Large Check Ribbon and some Linen Thread. This Black & Very Vanilla will be retiring at the end of the current 2024-2025 Stampin' Up! catalogue. That will be one product that I will miss very much. I use it a lot 😢.

 On the top I've added a die-cut circle that has been die-cut from the Floral Impressions DSP and then layered with a circle from the Foiled Frames & Labels Ephemera Pack. Both these products are also Online Exclusives to purchase 6th May.

 

I've finished off the card with the birthday cake that I've coloured with Stampin' Blends Alcohol Markers and then added a heat embossed sentiment.
