Can You Case it? #96 - A Sketch Challenge

This weeks challenge at Can You Case It? is a fantastic sketch challenge. Have I ever mentioned that I love a sketch challenge, maybe a couple of times but I really do. 

It's a simple sketch and you can dress it up to the nines or keep it neat and casual. I think my card sits somewhere in between.

I've used some more of the stunning vellum stack from Stampin' UP! -  Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum Stack and some of the co-ordinating embellishments - Snowflake elements and the Iced Rhinestones.

The card is finished off with the gorgeously pretty White glitter ribbon, some Linen Thread, Black Satin Ribbon and the black sequins from the Metallic Sequin Assortment.

The Merry Wishes sentiment comes from the 'Oh, What Fun' stamp set. Such a great all round set!

How gorgeous are those Snowflake Elements and the Iced Rhinestone Embellishments?? I just had to get a close up to show you how stunning they are!!! Swoon!

Just Add Ink #289 - Just Add Music

This week at Just Add Ink we have a fabulous theme for you - Just Add Music. I really loved the blog hop that I did at the start of the week showcasing Gift Packaging so I thought I would keep on the gift packaging roll and show you another gift packaging idea. Pull out the trusty Envelope Punch Board and the product to fit the music theme, the music sheet DSP from the Home for Christmas DSP pack.

I made the box using the envelope punch board. Those music sheets of DSP are just gorgeous!! How great would it be if there was a whole pack of just that??!! I'd buy it in a heart beat!

The box is then decorated with some burlap ribbon, spiral flower, leaves cut out with the Leaftlets Framelits and some gold elements.

How stunning is that Spiral flower?? I just love how bright and vibrant it is! Such a gorgeous box!

Global Design Project #GDP011 - Christmas

 

Hello and Welcome!! Today I have a card that I'm entering into one of the newer challenge blogs on the block - Global Design Project. This blog has got some of the most talented Stampin' Up! artists and I love their work!!! 

This weeks theme is - Christmas. I'm pretty much making only Christmas creations at the moment so it was pretty much a given to enter on of my cards in.

My card today is a very CAS (clean and simple) card but it's one that you can easily recreate if you had to make a lot of Christmas Cards.

I've used Stampin' Up!s Season of Cheer DSP and then the Snowflake elements and the Little Letters Thinlits to create the word 'Joy'.

I love the look of the DSP and how traditional and festive it looks. Nothing says Christmas like a bit of red and green.

It's all finished off with my favourite embellishments Gold Cording Trim and Gold Sequins. Who doesn't love a bit of gold??!!

The Stamp Review Crew: Wonderland Edition

Welcome!! Its The Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop time again!!! YAY!! This hop we are using the stamp set from the Holiday Catalouge - Wonderland. This is a fun and very on trend set. I'm sooo looking forward to seeing what the crew are going to do with this set.

Here's a little bit about us if you are hopping with us for the first time. We are a group of International Stampin' Up! demonstrators and we hold a blog hop of the first and third Monday of each month. Each hop showcases one stamp set and we like to show you lots of different creative ways to use it!

If you've come from Heidi Baks you are on your way round though the hop. 

My creation is very CAS (clean and simple) and would be very easy to recreate if you had alot of Christmas cards to make. The good thing about doing a regular blog and using alot of the Christmas products is that I have my cards all sorted. Just have to write them. That's the hardest part I reckon!

I've used the Wonderland stamp set but also a lot of the products from the Winter Wonderland Suite that co-ordinate with this stamp set perfectly. That is one of the best things about Stampin' Up!, their co-ordination of their products is amazing! They make it so easy for us crafters to create wonderful creatons with just a few co-ordinating products.

I've stamped the tree image on Shimmery White Cardstock using the Basic Black Archivial Ink. Tip - Make sure you clean you stamps instantly when using the archivial ink otherwise it will dry on your stamps and you wont be able to get it off. I may or may not have learnt that one from experience. 

The Silent Night sentiment is embossed with Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder on the Gold Foil Sheets. I really love the gold on gold and it really gives another dimension to the card than just stamping the sentiment on the banner with just ink.

How regal does the large black and gold stripes look? The card is all finished off with some Metallic Gold Bakers Twine, Snowflake Elements and the Winter Wonderland Embellishments.

Inkreators Blog Hop - Gift Packaging

Its that time again for the Inkreators Blog Hop and this time we are showing some fantastic Gift Packaging ideas. Perfect for the Christmas Season and any occasion throughout out the year really. Thank you for stopping  by here today and I really hope that you are inspired from our creations today.

 I've made three gift bags with a closure using the gift bag punch board. Each one is then embellished differently for a different look and feel. Stampin' Up! have put out a fabulous You Tube Clip on how to make these gift bags so check it out at the bottom of the post on how easy these fabulous gift bags are to make!

The first one uses some gold elements and some DSP banners from Stampin' Up!s Home for Christmas DSP.

I made my own stencil for the sponged stars by punching out a star on a Window Sheet and using that to sponge the stars on the front.

The Merry Christmas banners are stamped using the Alphabet Rotary Stamp. I love that stamp!!! When you cant find the right sentiment you just make your own!!!

The next gift box is embellished with a fun and bright gift tag and a fantastic sentiment from the Oh What Fun stamp set. I really love the embossing on the gift box. It just gives it another element and some texture.

How gorgeous are those Reindeer clips!!

The last box is a little bit sparkly!! I used the Bow Builder Punch on some Red Glimmer Paper for a bit of bling.

I just love how it looks like it has been wrapped up in the Red Glimmer Paper like a sparkly red ribbon!!!! The band can just be slid on and off for ease of opening!!

Can You Case It? #95 - Colour Challenge

Hello and welcome! Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you are having a fantastic day! Mine has been a very quiet, laid back day. Yesterday I attended the very first Stampin' Up! On Stage Local event in my home city, Melbourne, Australia. It was a fun day catching up with my Stampin' Up! Demo friends, seeing and playing with new products and a new catalogue, touching on a bit of business training and having an all round awesome day! After all that fun and awesomeness I can say that I'm a tad tired and I really enjoyed the quiet day with my family and friends.

Today at Can You Case it? we have a colour challenge for you! 

I really love that these design team creations are some times a challenge for me too and get me to use products and colours that I sometimes wouldn't used. Today that colour that challenged me is yellow. I rarely use yellow in my creations and I'm not that sure why. I don't dislike the colour and it looks so bright and vibrant on your creations.

I've kept my card quite simple today to let those flowers pop and to not detract from how bright and fun they are. The flowers are made out of Stampin' Up!s Cherry On Top Cotton Paper.

I just punched out 12 flowers using the Pansy Flower Punch, staked them on top of each other and then put a staple through the centre to hold them all together. Scrunch each layer up and then straighten each layer out so that each flower looks full and has some dimension.

The smaller flower is punched out with the Petite Petals punch and made in exactly the same way.

The sentiment comes from a stamp set from Stampin' Up! called Fabulous Four. Such a great set with four fabulous sentiments.

Can You Case It? #94 - Sketch Challenge

Hello and welcome! So great to have you here on this stunning Sunday! In my neck of the woods today has been a stunning day of going to church and then having a picnic in the sun with my church family! It was fantastic to have some fun and fellowship outside of church. If your Sunday is just starting out I hope its a great one for you today!

This week at Can You Case It? we have a sketch challenge and I'd so love for you to join us!

Its a fantastic sketch for lots of scope and creative interpretation!
I've created a bright and fun Christmas card using on of the Christmas stamp sets in Stampin' Up!s Annual Catalogue, Festival of Trees. This is a fantastic set that is available ALL year round. 

I wanted something bright and fun and what better colours to use than Real Red and Cucumber Crush! Such a gorgeous traditional Christmas colour combination!

The great thing about the Festival of Trees set is that it has a co-ordinating punch for all the tree images! Makes stamping and creating so quick and easy!

I couldn't go past not adding a few touches of sparkle and bling! And how gorgeous is that Real Red Pompom Trim! So fun!
