Just Add Ink #507 | Sketch Challenge

Hello there stamping friends! Welcome, Welcome. It's so good to have you here. It is Friday so that means that it's time for the new challenge over at Just Add Ink.

https://just-add-ink.blogspot.com/2020/05/just-add-ink-507sketch.html
This week its a fantastic sketch designed by fellow JAI team member Jackie Aitken. It's fairly straightforward but enough to get those creative ideas going and that creative brain working. I've pulled out some new sneak peek goodies to play with and my 'craft' on this week.

Today I'm using the new Designer Series Paper, Flowers for Every Season, that is in the new Stampin' Up! 2020 Annual Catalogue. It's bright, cheery, super pretty and fun and incorporates all of the new 2020 - 2022 In Colors - Magenta Madness, Cinnamon Cider, Bunblebee, Just Jade and Misty Madness. Check out my blog post HERE to see the sneak peak of the new In Colors.

The Flowers for Every Season DSP and the new In Colors will be available to purchase 3rd June 2020, so put them on your wish list to be ready to place your order first thing!

I've started the card with a Whisper White and then combined two of the patterns from the DSP.  I don't normally combine different patterns together, but I actually like the look of the Just Jade together with the floral  pattern. The Whisper White base and card layers really give the card that crisp, fresh look.

The vellum circle was first die cut with the Stitched Lace die and then one of the circles from the Stitched Shapes dies. Layered on that is some other sneak peak products - Gold Hoop Embellishments, In Good Taste Elements, Gold Metallic Trim from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack and the Just Jade Mini Ribbon. Lots of fun new products to create with. I've then finished off the card with the sentiment from Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set.

I hope you like my take on this weeks sketch and hopefully you like the little sneak peek to some new products. Make sure you check out the Just Add Ink Blog to see the rest of the gorgeous projects from the JAI Design Team. We hope you’ll join us and create your own card using this weeks sketch. We love to see what you make as we browse the gallery each week to see your fabulous projects.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Instagram Tip | Making Your Die-Cut Words Pop

Hi there stamping friends! Hello and welcome to my blog. I've got a fun technique/tip for you today using Stampin' Up! products.

I love using die cut words on my projects, but sometimes I feel they get lost in the background of my creations. With a few simple steps, here's how you can make your dit-cut words pop and really stand out.

I have a few simple steps for you to help you achieve this fun and fabulous technique -
1. Trace around your word die on cardstock using a pencil.
 2. Fussy cut around the pencil outline using Papersnips.

3. Cut 3 (or as many as you want) of the word using your die cutting machine.
4. Layer your die-cut pieces onto your Whisper White outline so that the die-cut word has some dimension. Then adhere your word with an outline to your project.

I hope that I've given you some inspiration on how to get more out of your dies, and especially the word dies. Why not try it on your next project and maybe even try the technique with dies other than words. The possibilities are endless!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop | Soft Spring Host Set

Hello stamping friends. It's so good to have you here.Welcome to this month's edition of the Stamapin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop. This month we are creating projects either using the Hostess Stamp Sets from the 2019 - 2020 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue or gifts that you can give your hostess when they hold a party with you.

International readers please use the translate feature, found in the side bar, to translate to your language.

The hostess sets are a fabulous incentive for those who hold a Stampin' Up! party, to get some free products working with your demonstrator to host a Stampin' Up! party is a great way to experience the joy of creativity as you gather with your friends and earn free products.

I'm showcasing for you today the Soft Spring Hostess Stamp Set. How gorgeous are those plant images? They look like lavender and wisteria to me. Either use the stamps to fill in the open line work or colour them in using Stampin' Blends or water colour.

Soft Spring

I've stamped some of the images on Crumb Cake cardstock and the others on Whisper White Thick cardstock for two different square card looks. Both coloured in with Stampin' Blends Alcohol Markers.

My first card I've used Memento tuxedo Black ink to stamp the images on Crumb Cake cardstock. I stamped the first lot of the plant image to to far left, stamped the same image on a Post-it note and then fussy cut that out. I covered the first image with the cut out Post-it note and then restamped the same image over the first image to make it look like they were layered together, using the masking technique.

Because the actual stamps are photopolymer, I was able to 'bend' the stamp on the clear block to give the second stamping of the plant image to make it look like it was bending over slightly. I've then coloured the leaves with Mossy Meadow Dark & Light Stampin' Blends Markers and the 'lavender' tops with Highland Heather Dark & Light Stampin' Blends Makers. I finished the card off with a splatter of the Highland Heather Stampin' Write Markers, Embossed the top layer with the Subtle 3D embossing folder and some ribbon, trim and embellishments. The sentiment comes from the Free as a Bird Stamp Set, which has been heat embossed with Black Stampin' Emboss Powder.

My second card this time has been stamped on Whisper White Thick Cardstock. I've started with the image that is used to stamp in the open line work of the 'wisteria' plant, to quickly add colour to the image. I've used this infill image to make a splatter look on the background of the card. Either using full strength ink or ink that has been stamped off once or twice. I love the fun look that this image gives to the background. After that I've used the Highland Heather Stampin' Write Marker for some added splatter.

The 'wisteria' image I stamped on Whisper White Thick cardstock, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then coloured it in with Highland Heather Dark & Light, Mossy Meadow Dark & Light and Gray Granite Light Stampin' Blends Alcohol Markers. How fun does the 'wisteria' image look on the Stitched Nested Label die cut? I've also embossed the Stitched Nested Die cut with the Subtle 3D embossing folder for that 'subtle' addition of texture. Again, all finished off with ribbon, trim, embellishments and the sentiment from the Free as a Bird stamp set.

Host can earn this stamp set for free depending on the order totals for an entire party. Outside of the party setting hostess stamp sets are available to those who place individual orders that meet the Stampin' Rewards totals. Introducing the Stampin' Up!® 2020 -2022 In Colors | New Products Sneak Peek

Hello there stamping friends! With the 2020 - 2021 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue about to drop, I'm showing you a sneak peek of the new 2020 - 2022 In Colors and some never before seen products so that you can go ooh and aah and to get your order ready once 3rd June 2020 does roll around.

I'm showing you the stunning 2020 -2022 In Colors. They are fun, bright and vibrant and really on trend with the colours out there in everything from fashion to home decor. They are just fabulous!! Have you seen them yet?

We've got Cinnamon Cider, Just Jade, Bumlebee, Magenta Madness and Misty Moonlight. I've made a card with each fabulous colour for you today and also combined it with the new Blossoms in Bloom Bundle which, has the gorgeous Blossoms in Bloom Stamp Set and the AMAZING Many Layered Blossoms Dies.

The cards are all the same and using the same products, just changing up the In Color for each different card. They are amazing colours in their own right, but don't they look fabulous all together too.

For each card I've embossed the top layer with the Subtle 3D Embossing folder and then layered over that a Vellum and Shimmery White Layer of the Many Layered Blossoms Die. Due to the blossom layers being quite busy the cards really didn't need much else other than some ribbon, trim, 2020 - 2022 In Color Enamel Dots and a simple sentiment. I really wanted the colour of each In Color to shine!

Cinnamon Cider

Just Jade

Bumblebee

Magenta Madness

Misty Moonlight

Which one is your favourite new In Color? I'm loving Just Jade and then a close second is Misty Moonlight. Might have to try them together for a fun and bright creation. They are all fabulous, so it's really hard to choose one!

Just Add Ink #504 | Colour Challenge

Hello stamping friends! Welcome, Welcome! It's so good to have you here today! Another Friday has rolled around so that means it's time for another Just Add Ink Challenge. We have a gorgeous colour combo for you. Muted greys with a little bit of Rococo Rose. So pretty!

Click on the colour name to see all the Stampin' Up! products in that colour

I've started with a Basic Gray card base and then used a sheet of DSP from the Pressed Petals Speciality Designer Series Paper. The Rococo Rose on the DSP with the script handwriting is beautiful. I love the sophistication that any script element gives to your projects. Gorgeous.

While the DSP is gorgeous is stunning on its own, I wanted to step it up a little and give it some more texture. A fabulous way to do that is to emboss DSP with the Subtle 3D Embossing folder. Don't you just love the added texture that it gives? It just gives it that something extra.

Next up I layered the Stitched Lace die, die cut with the Stitched Rectangle, over the DSP and then added the Shimmery White Stitched Circle. I heat embossed the floral image from the Bloom & Grow Stamp set with Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder, and then using an Aqua Painter coloured in the flowers with Rococo Classic Ink. I watered the ink down quite a bit to give a lighter look and that just coloured look.

I've finished it all off with one of the sentiments from the Bloom and Grow stamp set, heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder on Smoky Slate cardstock. With that I also used some Rococo Rose Scalloped Linen Ribbon, Whisper White Solid Baker's Twine and Gold Glitter Enamel Dots.

What comes to mind when you see these challenge colours? Can't wait to see what you create with them.

Make sure you check out all the amazing inspiration from the rest of the JAI design team for this challenge over at the Just Add Ink Blog. Want to play along? All the details are on the JAI blog. With such gorgeous colours for this challenge, what will you create?

Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop | Country Club Suite

Hello again stamping friends. Welcome to this month's edition of the Stamapin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop. This month we are creating projects with the Country Club Suite or the Mountain Air Bundle or as some have done, combined them both together.

International readers please use the translate feature, found in the side bar, to translate to your language.

The Country Club Suite is perfect for the classy sports person in your life, male or female. Hit a hole in one with this suite, straight from the clubhouse! The Country Club Suite Bundle is by par the best lineup of sophisticated golfing style - complete with argyle. Tee off with the rubber stamps and coordinating dies to cut out all the perfect elements fore your golfing cards. Team up the Country Club Suite with the Mountain Air Bundle to complete the outdoor look.

I went for a layered look to my projects today using the Clubhouse Cling Stamp Set, Gold Clube Dies, Majestic Mountain Dies, Country Club Designer Series Paper and the Country Club Elements while using the Basic Black, Smoky Slate, Garden Green and Whisper White colour combination, which all can be found in the Designer Series Paper.

Click on the colour name to see all the Stampin' Up! products in each colour.

For my first card I've started with a Whisper White bass and then layered on that some Basic Black cardstock and some of the Country Club Designer Series Paper. I've that I've then splattered the Smoky Slate Stampin' Write Marker for some fun interest. Layered over that is a piece of Whisper White cardstock embossed with the Absolutely Argyle 3D Embossing Folder. How good does it look? Loving this embossing folder.

I've then layered over that the die cut tree from the Majestic Mountain Dies, the golf ball from the Gold Club Dies, some of the Country Club Elements, some more of the Country Club DSP and the Happy Birthday from the Clubhouse Cling Stamp Set. Am loving the colour contrast of the natural Country Club Elements against the Basic Black and the Garden Green. Just gorgeous!

My second card uses all the same products in a different layout. Again,  I've started with the Whisper White cardstock base layer. I've then layered Garden Green, Basic Black and then Whisper White again. I repeatedly stamped Happy Birthday across the Whisper White layer using Smoky Slate Classic Ink. To get the variation in colour on the Happy Birthday I restamped the sentiment 2 and 3 times without reinking the stamp. I've then splattered the Smoky Slate Stampin' Write marker over the cardstock layer and then embossed it with the Absolutely Argyle 3D Embossing Folder.

I've then layered the scalloped circle and the stitched DSP circle over the embossed Whisper White layer and then finished off the card with the stamped image, the die cuts and the natural wood looking
Country Club Elements.

I do hope that I've given you some inspiration with the Country Club Suite. I know that when you start creating with it you will love it.

Next up for you today is the ever amazing Stesha Bloodhart over at Stampin' Hoot. She has some fantastic projects for you, so head on over and check out her creations.  There are so many amazing projects with this suite. I do hope that you take the time to check out all 16 blogs. Stampin' Fancy Friday | Fancy Folds

The challenge for this month for the Stampin' Fancy Friday Design Team is - Fancy Folds. I do love a good fancy fold but I always forget to make them. I've got a different fancy fold for you today called the Diamond Fold Card but I've made it in reverse. Just to change it up for you.

Like most tutorials and for today's fancy fold that I'm showing you, I find Splitcoast Stampers most especially helpful for showing me how to do some of the more intricate fancy fold cards. The tutorial for my card today can be found HERE.

I've started with a Soft Suede card base and trimmed and scored it as per the tutorial using my Paper Trimmer and Simply Scored Scoring Board. I've then layered panels of Shimmery White and the Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper on the front and as well as on the inside. Since the pattern in this sheet of DSP ran Vertical I made sure that all the pieces were running straight up and down when adhering them to the card. Making sure that the pattern is running the same way in all the pieces makes for a neat and well finished look. Or it could be my slight OCD about these things coming out. Ha! Whatever it is, it makes it all look well put together.

The diamond panel on the inside I've layered with two pieces of Shimmery White cardstock and then used some of the stickers from the Tropical Oasis Memories and More Card Pack.

To hold the card closed I made a fun belly band with Soft Suede cardstock and embossed it with the Coastal Weave 3D Embossing folder. I've then layered pieces that I've fussy cut out from the Tropical Oasis Memories and More Card Pack along with some of the coordinating stickers. I've also layered as well, some of the Braided Burlap Trim and some of the gorgeous Tropical Oasis Trinkets. How fun and summery do all these products make you feel??!! Don't you just love them??!!

I do hope that you'll check out the tutorial for this Fancy Fold card and give it a go and check out some of the other Fancy Fold ideas that the rest of the design team have made on the Stampin' Fancy Friday Instagram Account. This is where all their creations will be shared throughout the month so, make sure that you are following them to get all of the amazing ideas!

These are my projects from the first hop we had using this suite, which you can see all the details about these here. How beautiful is the large floral image and when teamed with the gorgeous ribbon and gold embellishments the suite is just AMAZING!!!!!

While I went for a softer look with my first projects from the first hop, I've teamed the products with the Ornate Garden Suite with Basic Black for a bold, modern look but still using the large floral image as the main focus of all my projects.

My first card uses a piece of the gorgeous Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper, with the Mint Macaron ad Gold Foil colour combo, down the side and then layered with a piece of Gold Glimmer Paper die cut with the Ornate Borders Dies.

I've partially stamped the floral image on Shimmery White Cardstock using Versamark Ink and then heat embossed the image with Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder. I love embossing my images before I watercolour them. The embossing almost acts like a barrier to hold the colour in so it doesn't go everywhere when watercolouring. I've finished off this card with some of the Gilded Gems, Terracotta Tile Ribbon, Linen Thread and the 'Thanks' sentiment from the Ornate Thanks Stamp Set.

My second card uses all of the same elements, but changed up for a different look. I've again started with a Basic Black cardstock base and the Mint Macaron and Gold Foil pattern from the Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper. Next is the Ornate Layer 'Frame' in Basic Black. I've cut the centre out using the Stitched Rectangle Dies which fit perfectly inside the Ornatle Layer Dies.

Again, I've embossed the image with Gold Stampin Emboss Powder on Shimmery White Cardstock and watercoloured the image using an Aqua Painter and Mossy Meadow, Crushed Curry, Blushing Bride, Flirty Flamingo and Calypso Coral Classic Inks.

Again finished off with Linen Thread, Terracotta Tile Ribbon, Gilded Gems and the Thanks Sentimen from the Ornate Thanks Stamp Set.

With so many products and so much versatility, the possibilities are endless as to what you can create. You are only limited by your imagination!
Now on to the super creative Stesha Bloodhart in the U.S. with her Ornate Garden creations. Here projects are amazing and really give another gorgeous idea to using this suite!
There are so many amazing projects with these new products. I'm sure someones creative style will help to the creative ideas flowing. I hope that you take the time to check out all 16 blogs. We have so much to show you so I don't want you to miss out!
