Global Design Project #516 | #gdp516 | CASE the Designer Challenge

Hello stamping friends! I hope you are having a fabulous day! Thanks for stopping by my blog. Today, I'm playing along with the challenge over at the Global Design Project #516 | #gdp516 | CASE the Designer Challenge.

I'm a big fan of Berdiens! I love her layered style, and her use of combining Designer Series Paper and die cuts in her creations is amazing! I've CASE-d Berdein once before in a different challenge, and the card was of a similar style to this week's challenge (if you are after some more inspiration 😉). Check it out here.

Like Berdien's card, I've kept the same layout and basic design as hers, but that is where the similarities stop. I've gone for a Christmas-themed card as opposed to Berdein's fruit and floral card.

I've started the card with a Crumb Cake base. I originally was going to use Basic Beige, but it just didn't look right, so Crumb Cake it was. I've added some embossed layers to the base using the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder. Over that, then I've used the Perennial Postage Dies and the Christmas Tags & More Specialty Designer Series Paper.

This DSP is fantastic and is so versatile for all your Christmas crafting needs. This unique assortment of paper and precut images makes it easy to coordinate colours and images on your Christmas cards and gift tags. It includes full-sheet designs, cut-apart designs for card fronts and tags, and precut images for quick accents.

Over the DSP pieces, I've layered some of the precut images also from the Christmas Tags & More Specialty DSP with a circle die cut from the Stylish Shapes and the 'Merry Christmas' dies come from the Words for the Season Dies. I then finished the card off with some Loose Gold Sequins and some Early Espresso Linen Thread.

I do hope that you like my CASE on Berdien's card. Just remember when CASEing start with the initial inspiration of the original project and then really try to change it up to make it your own, with your personal touch.

I do hope that you enjoy my take on the Global Design Projects CASE the Designer Challenge. For the full list of all the products used, please refer to the product list below.

Just Add Ink #769 | Just Choose Two Challenge

Hello stamping friends. Happy Friday! I hope you are having a wonderful day. I'm here today with the Just Add Ink Design Team for the new Just Add Ink Challenge - Just Add Ink #769 | Just Choose Two Challenge. This week, our Just Choose Two Challenge has been suggested by team member Di.

Today for our Just Choose Two challenge (to choose two items to feature on your project), we are choosing from Numbers, Words, and Neutral Colours. I've chosen Words and Neutral Colours for my card today.

Today I've gone for lots of Basic White layers and then incorporated some DSP layers in some of the neutral tones coming from the Gathering Together DSP and as well as the Christmas Tags and More 6"x6" Specialty DSP. How gorgeous is the Crumb Cake DSP with the white dots? Super cute, right?

I've also added some embossing in the layers using the Forever Plaid 3D embossing folder and some second-generation stamping using the Christmas Greenery Stamp set. I've finished the card off with some of the Metallic Textures Rub Ons, some retired ribbon, linen thread, Early Espresso Linen Thread, some Loose Gold Sequins, and a layering of die-cuts, DSP and the happy birthday sentiment. I love all the layering and the incorporation of the neutral elements. Who would have thought a neutrals card could look so pretty?

I do hope that I've given you some inspiration for our Just Choose Two Challenge. Go and check out the design teams take on this week's challenge at the Just Add Ink Blog. Will you be entering our challenge this week? We'd love to see your Just Choose Two creation. Click the image below to be taken straight to this week's challenge.

CASE-ing the Catty | CTC #537 | Case Traditions of Christmas Suite Collection p21-27

Hello Stamping Friends. Welcome to a super exciting CASE-ing the Catty Blog Hop. We at CASE-ing the Catty are about CASE-ing the samples from the Stampin' Up! Catalogues (Catty) with a different theme to CASE each week. To CASE is to Copy and Selectively Edit.

If you've come from Julia Quinn's blog, welcome; if you've started here with me, also welcome. It's so good to have you here.

This week, we are CASE-ing the samples from the Traditions of Christmas Suite Collection that can be found on pgs.21-27 of the Stampin' Up! 2025 Sept-Dec Mini Catalogue.

I was drawn to this card in the landscape orientation. I love the simplicity of the design with the use of DSP across the front of the card and then the angled flowers with the sentiment in the middle. So with those design elements and the Christmas Tags & More 6"x6" Specialty Designer Series Paper, I've created a bright and fun Christmas card for you.

This paper pack provides a unique assortment of paper and precut images, making it easy to coordinate colours and images on your Christmas cards and gift tags. It includes full-sheet designs, cut-apart designs for card fronts and tags, and precut images for quick accents. I loved the plaid/tartan sheet in the DSP and wanted to use that with my base layers of Garden Green and Basic White Cardstock. I've then added another pattern from the DSP to coordinate the whole look.

I've accentuated the card with some Real Red Ribbon that is from the Traditions of Christmas Suite collection, and found it coordinated perfectly with the colours in the Christmas Tags & More Specialty DSP. Got to love it when products from suites coordinate with other products.

I've finished the card off with some layering of die cuts, the Large Gold hoops that are so beautiful, the precut images from the Christmas Tags & More DSP, some Traditional Sparkling Sequins, and the heat-embossed Merry Christmas Sentiment from the Traditional Labels Stamp Set.

I really love how that with one pack of DSP you can make some amazing cards or scrapbook pages with minimal stamping! Stampin' Up! has some stunning DSP packs, and they make it easy to make beautiful creations. Let's get to using them!

I hope that you like my CASE of the sample from the Traditions of Christmas Suite Collection.  Next up on the hop is the fabulous Judy May. Be sure to give her some CASE-ing the Catty Blog hop love.

We would love to have you join us over at our Facebook group to share your creation CASE-ing the Traditions of Christmas Suite Collection Samples, and join in this week's challenge. You don't need to have a blog to join in.

Gathering Together Suite Collection | September | 2025 Artisan Design Team Monthly Project

This month's assignment for Group 2 of the 2025 Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team is to create projects using the Online Exclusive Gathering Together Suite Collection.

This beautiful suite has a warm, earthy colour palette with elegant designs to create warm and inviting Autumn and harvest-themed cards, tags, and more.  The Gathering Together Suite is perfect for capturing the beauty of this season.

I've used these stunning products to create two cards - one being a thank you card with a stamped and die cut wreath and a 'Gather' card that incorporates and highlights the beautiful Gathering Together 12"x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper.

For this card, I've used Early Espresso as the card base, and then I've layered torn and embossed pieces of the Gathering Together 12"x12" Specialty Designer Series Paper. I love the mix of the darker colours in the DSP when combined with the plaid pattern. Super pretty.

Instead of stamping the stamped images on Basic White like I normally do, I've stamped the images on Crumb Cake cardstock. I thought this paired better with the colours in the DSP and kept with the warm, earthy colour tone. I've added to the card some plaited/braided Old Olive Linen Thread, and then finished the card off with some DSP banner pieces, some more Old Olive linen thread, the Cajun Craze & Gold Dots, and the heat-embossed sentiment.

My second card uses Old Olive as its base with layered pieces of DSP and cardstock.  I then stamped one of the leaf images on Old Olive cardstock with Old Olive ink and used the die-cut leaves to create a wreath. They have the perfect curve to arrange them in a circle to create a round wreath. I've then layered the card with some embossed cardstock, DSP banners, stamped images, Early Espresso Line Thread, Cajun Craze & Gold Dots, and the heat-embossed sentiment.

I hope that I've given you some festive inspiration with this amazing suite collection. Make sure you check out my post for this suite on Instagram HERE, as group two have an Instagram Hop and you will be able to see the rest of the teams'  stunning creations.

Just Add Ink #767 | Inspiration Pic Challenge

Hello there stamping friends! Happy Friday! Welcome and thanks for joining me on my blog today. Today, we over at Just Add Ink have a fabulous inspiration picture challenge - Just Add Ink #767 | Inspiration Pic Challenge.

We've got a bit of a different inspiration picture for you this week, and you may be thinking what can I do with that? The obvious choice would be to do a car-related project, or even some of the colours of the cars and use that for your creation, or even something that relates to the grid pattern in the picture. It really is what inspires you from our Inspiration Picture.

I was actually inspired by the colours in the photo. All the reds, blues and whites really stood out to me. So with that I've some new products from the Stampin' Up! 2025 Sept-Dec Mini Catalogue and created a Christmas card.

I've used the new Traditions of Christmas DSP for a fun and festive Christmas card. The DSP is covered with poinsettias and other Christmas flowers in traditional reds and greens, and then is accented with touches of gold foil. This DSP is a classic option that is ideal for capturing the spirit of the season.  This beautiful DSP also has images that can be cut out with coordinating dies. So fun!

I love the look of the DSP against the Basic White layers. The colours just pop. This DSP comes from the Traditions of Christmas Suite Collection, and so I've accented the card with some of the coordinating products - Traditional Labels Stamp Set, Real Red Shiny Ribbon, and the Traditional Sparkling Sequins.

I do hope that I've given you some inspiration with our Inspiration Picture Challenge.  Go and check out the design teams take on this week's Inspiration Picture Challenge at the Just Add Ink Blog, and then come and join us in this week's inspiration picture fun! Can't wait to see what you create!

Just Add Ink #765 | Colour Challenge

Hey there stamping friends! I'm here today with the Just Add Ink Design Team for the new Just Add Ink Challenge - Just Add Ink #765 | Colour Challenge. This week our colours have been suggested by Just Add Ink Design Team Member, Jan.

This week we are challenging you with the colours Lost Lagoon, Goreous Grape, and Highland Heather. A blue-green and some pretty purples. I've used the colours for a pretty floral card with some Alcohol Marker colouring which I haven't done for  while.

I've used the Lost Lagoon for all my card base layers adding some embossing with the Forever Plaid embossing folder and layer using the Perennial Postage Dies. On the Perennial Postage die cut I added some ink splatters and a pattern from the Metallic Textures Rub-Ons. I got these rub-ons a while ago but have only used them recently. They are super easy to add to any of your creations and they give that extra bit of wow without being too expensive or too messy. Well worth the purchase!

Once all the base layers were prepared and adhered to the card I then layered some of the Charming Day die cuts, the floral image from the Charming Day Stamp Set, Stylish Shapes Circle die cut, the embossed sentiment also from the Charming Day Stamp set, and then finished the card off with some ribbon, trim and embellishments.

I love how this card turned out and I hope that it gave you some inspiration for this colour challenge.

Will you be entering our challenge this week? We would love to see your take on our colours. Click the image below to be taken straight to this week's challenge.

Bauble Blooms Bundle | August | 2025 Artisan Design Team Monthly Project

This month's assignment for Group 2 of the 2025 Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team have been tasked with creating projects using the festive Bauble Blooms Bundle from the @stampinupofficial July Online Exclusive release.

This bundle includes dies to quickly cut holiday baubles and a stamp set featuring an elegant floral design. DIY your own Christmas ornaments to add a handmade touch to your decor this year. These baubles will also look great on a card front, as a gift topper, or on your festive scrapbook layouts.

This is a Two-Step Stampin’ set; it allows you to layer two or more images to create one final image with extra texture and dimension in the colours you want.

I've used the bauble stamped images and dies for two festive Christmas cards with two different designs. I've kept to more traditional Christmas colours, greens, reds and golds, but these baubles would also look fantastic in some non-traditional colours too!

My first card is just a standard-sized card and uses some neutral colours with some pops of Real Red and Gold. I've layered some different embossed pieces and then added some Gold heat-embossed splatters. I've then layered a torn piece of the Country Woods DSP that has been accented with the Metallic Textures Rub-Ons. If you are after a quick and mess-free embellishment, these are just for you. It's the first time that I've used them, and they are super quick and super easy to add to your project! Love them!

I've then finished off the card with a heat-embossed and stamped Bauble, Linen Thread, Loose Gold Sequins, and a heat-embossed sentiment.

For my second card, I've created a slimline card. I've stamped on the Mossy Meadow Baubles with Mossy Meadow Ink for a tone-on-tone look and then adhered the baubles across the card for a pretty bauble background. I've then stamped up two other baubles to feature on the card, and then I've finished the card off with an embossed sentiment, Linen Thread, and some loose gold sequins.

I hope that I've given you some festive inspiration with this amazing bundle. Make sure you check out my post for this suite on Instagram HERE, as group two have an Instagram Hop and you will be able to see the rest of the teams'  stunning creations.
