Just Add Ink #739 | Just Choose Two Challenge

Hello stamping friends. Happy Friday! I hope you are having a wonderful day. I'm here today with the Just Add Ink Design Team for the new Just Add Ink Challenge - Just Add Ink #739 | Just Choose Two Challenge. This week our Just Choose Two Challenge has been suggested by team member Kerry.

Today for our Just Choose Two challenge (to choose two items to feature on your project) we are choosing from Colouring, Thinking of You, and Embossing. Embossing was a given for me as I emboss (folders or heat) on just about everything I create. Then it was a matter of choosing the other item. Originally I thought it was 'Thank You' not 'Thinking of You' so I chose the Thank You and then realising that it was Thinking of You I had to rummage though my stamp sets to find a Thinking of You stamp. I had already made my card so I had to find one that would fit with what I had already made. That will teach me for having a quick glance at what the challenge was for this week.

I recently received the beautiful Heirloom Arrangements Kit and wanted to create my card for this week with that. I normally stick to the instructions of the kits and create them as they are intended but this time I used some of the pieces from this kit as a kit 'alternative' if you like.

I've started the card with Basic White base layers, which I love and then in those layers I added an embossed layer using the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder. I felt this one coordinated the best with the rest of the elements that I chose for this card.

The blue layer is actually one of the printed cards from the Heirloom Arrangements kit that I cut down and used the front and back of the card to layer on one another. I love the vintage look and feel of these cards. Over the blue layers I added some splatters, made of watered down Multi Purpose Tombow Glue, which I then heat embossed.

Next it was just picking the pieces from the kit and how I wanted to add and arrange them. The elements from this kit are like the ephemera packs found in our most recent catalogues but just put together in a kit. So really it was just a matter of playing around with either adding or taking away the pieces until you are happy with how they look.

To finish off the card I added some iridescent pearls, White Woven Ribbon, Linen Thread, and a heat embossed Thinking of You sentiment.

I do hope that I've given you some inspiration for our Just Choose Two Challenge. Go and check out the design teams take on this week's challenge at the Just Add Ink Blog and then come and join us for this week's Just Choose Two fun!

Everyday Skies Suite | February | 2025 Artisan Design Team Monthly Project

Hello stamping friends. This month Group 2 from the Stampin' Up!® 2025 Artisan Design Team have been creating with the Everyday Skies Online Exclusive Suite.

We were asked to create two projects with this amazing suite and to include all the products. It's all in the skies with this suite! The colours and designs span sunrise, sunset, and skies in between. With this suite, you can create cards and scrapbook pages for almost any moment.

The suite includes :
  • Everyday Arches Photopolymer Stamp Set
  • Everyday Arches Dies
  • Everyday Skies 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
  • White 1/2" Woven Ribbon
  • Two-Tone Sparkle Gems
There are lots of amazing colours in the DSP that I'm sure you will be able to find one that will suit your crafting needs and style. 23 Stampin' Up! colours in total!

The first card I made incorporated all of the Everyday Arches dies for a pretty layered card. I started with a Basic White card base and then layered a piece of Night of Navy cardstock that I scored using the scoring blade on the Stampin' Up! Paper Trimmer. I love scoring my own backgrounds when I can't find a embossing folder that will suit what I'm trying to create.

I then using the Everyday Arches Dies to die cut the Everyday Skies DSP. I wanted to run them through all at once but the dies weren't playing nice so I had to do them one at a time. I started with the largest one and then worked my way down each die till the whole DSP was cut. I then adhered the pieced on a piece of cardstock that was die cut with the largest of the Everyday Arches dies.

I finished this card off with some torn Pretty in Pink cardstock, the stamped, heat embossed and fussy-cut birds, some White Woven Ribbon, Linen Thread, the stamped sentiment, and some of the pretty Two-Tone Sparkle Gems.

The second card I used the Everyday Arches dies to create a scalloped edge on the card. I layered two of the dies together on the Everyday Skies DSP, ran them through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and then arranged them behind some layers of cardstock for that pretty scalloped edging.

On both cards I cut the ribbon in half as I thought it looked and tied better being a thinner ribbon. I do that with most ribbons that I use when creating as they look better being that smaller size.

I've layered the DSP, some torn cardstock, trimmed cardstock, die cut pieces and some fussy cut stamped images and sentiment to put this card together. Its been finished off with the White Woven Ribbon, Linen Thread , and the Two-Tone Sparkle Gems.

This really is such a versatile suite and from all the projects from the rest of the team shows that this suite can be used for nearly every occasion.

Make sure you check out my post for this suite on Instagram HERE as group two have an Instagram Hop and you will be able to see the rest of the teams creations.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Artisans Show Your Love Instagram Hop | Artisan Design Team

We are so excited about the 2025 Artisan journey we get to take with you this year & all that we have to share! So let’s keep the sharing going with a Hop! Inspired by Feb 14th. Come hop along with us as we share projects inspired by things we love! ❤️

I've used the @stampinupofficial Friends of the Ocean Suite today for my cards because firstly, I ❤️❤️❤️ this suite and secondly, the theme of this suite is all the things I LOVE. Bright colours, ocean/beach, water, waves, ocean animals. I'm a summer girl and the beach and the ocean are my happy place. As soon as I go to one and just hearing sounds of the waves makes me feel like I am at 'home'. Pity my bank account won't let me live near one so it can literally be my home.

For both cards I've kept to the same colours that are in the gorgeous Friends of the Ocean DSP because - ❤️. I think Melon Mambo and Summer Splash are my new go to colour combo. I love the vibrancy and brightness of these colours together. They just scream all things beach and summer! I've made it a little bit easier on myself by fussy-cutting and die cutting the images from the DSP rather than stamping them. Did you know that the dies are designed to die cut some of the images from the DSP? I love that. Makes for some quick and easy crafting, that's for sure!

Do you have this suite yet? I can't recommend this suite enough! I ❤️ it. If you are into bright colours and all things beach and the ocean then this is the suite for you.

Friendly Seagulls and Day to Celebrate Stamp Sets | Artisan Design Team | Sale-a-bration

Hello there stamping friends! I've got two cards here today that I made as an extra assignment for the Stampin' Up! 2025 Artisan Design Team. I'm showcasing two of the sets that are part of the offerings for this years Sale-a-bration promotion.

My cards today are using the Friendly Seagulls set and the Day to Celebrate Set.

Spend $100 on Stampin' Up! products (before shipping and handling) and you can get one of these sets for FREE. Spend $200 on Stampin' Up! products and you can get both of them for free. Or choose from other free offerings until February 28 2025.

For the Seagulls card I wanted to create a beach scene so I picked some of the blue tones from the Meant to Bee and the Wildflower Celebrations Two-Tone cardstock  packs. I used the two-tone cardstock as I wanted to tear it to expose the white core. This would make the cardstock look like waves when layered on top of each other. I then created the rest of the beach scene with a pool party sponged background and then stamped the pebble image on crumb cake cardstock to create a sand look.

I coloured the seagulls in with various Stampin' Blends Alcohol Markers and then finished the card off with the sentiment heat embossed on Basic Black cardstock. It's such a fun set and it seems to have been quite popular.

For the Day to Celebrate birthday card I started by continually stamping on Night of Navy cardstock the streamer and confetti image using Versamark Ink and then heat embossed it with Clear embossing powder. Around the edges of the Night of Navy cardstock I sponged Night of Navy ink to add that depth of colour around the edges. I've layered the Night of Navy stamped cardstock piece with Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green.

I stamped the party hats and the pom pom type image together and then fussy cut them out.  I used the Mini Alphabet die to die cut some Granny Apple Green cardstock and then placed the letters for Happy Birthday and then stamped the 'to you' from the Day to Celebrate stamp set. I've finished the card off with some Pool Party embellishments from the  Rainbow Adhesive-Backed Dots.

So are you team Friendly Seagulls Stamp Set or Day to Celebrate Stamp Set? I think I'm Team Friendly Seagulls.

Remember to place your Stampin' Up! Order in before 28th Feb 2025 for you to be able to get one (or both) of these sets for FREE. Shop with me HERE on my Stampin' Up! site. Hurry before you miss out!

Just Add Ink #737 | Inspiration Picture Challenge

Hello there stamping friends! Happy Friday! Welcome and thanks for joining me on my blog today. Today we over at Just Add Ink have a fabulous inspiration picture challenge - Just Add Ink #737 | Inspiration Picture Challenge.

This weeks inspiration pic has a fabulous summer vibe. Who doesn't love a cool drink and some delicious watermelon when the weather warms up.  I was drawn to the colours (but more of a muted tone) in the pic with the gorgeous pinks, greens and aqua tones.

I've used the Wildflower Birthday DSP for a Pretty in Pink birthday card. I've used one of my favourite designs in the DSP pack - the Pink Gingham, and combined it for a layered card. How pretty is that gingham?!

To go with the gorgeous DSP I've used the ready-to-use die cuts to accent the card. These die cuts make it super quick and super easy to make a gorgeous and fabulous card. The artwork in these die cuts is amazing and just all round extraordinary. There are two sheets of these amazing die cuts in the Wildflower Birthday DSP pack so there are plenty of die cuts to choose from to use on your next project.

I've finished off the card with the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Friends for Life Stamp set and then accented the card with the simple Linen Thread and the gorgeous and super fun Party Dots.

Next time you're in a pinch and need a card quick, combine the Wildflower DSP with the Wildflower ready-to-use die cuts and you'll have a card put together in no time.

Go and check out the design teams take on this week's Inspiration Picture Challenge at the Just Add Ink Blog and then come and join us in this week's inspiration picture fun! Can't wait to see what you create!

CASE-ing the Catty | #ctc505 | CASE the Sale-a-bration Brochure

Hello Stamping Friends. Welcome to a super exciting CASE-ing the Catty Blog Hop. We at CASE-ing the Catty are about CASE-ing the samples from the Stampin' Up! Catalogues (Catty) with a different theme to CASE each week. To CASE is to Copy and Selectively Edit.

If you've come from Judy May's blog welcome, if you've started here with me also welcome. It's so good to have you here.

This week we are CASE-ing a project from the Stampin' Up! 2025 Sale-a-bration Brochure. f you've not seen the Sale-a-bration Brochure you can check it out HERE. Sale-a-bration is where you can earn FREE products from 7th Jan - 28th Feb 2025. With every $100AUD you spend on Stampin' Up! products (before shipping and handling) you can choose a FREE product from the Sale-a-bration Brochure. Its a fun time of year to be part of and to shop with Stampin' Up! If you want more details on Sale-a-bration please contact me.

There are some fabulous projects in the Sale-a-bration Brochure that show creative ideas for all types of paper crafters. I was particularly drawn to the sample above that uses the FREE Toadstool Garden DSP. What drew me to this card was the use of the DSP for the card base rather than using cardstock and I loved that it wasn't your standard looking card.

I've used the beautiful Wildflower Birthday DSP from the Wildflower Birthday Suite to CASE the brochure sample. I can't love this DSP enough. It would have to be one of my favourites from the Stampin' Up! 2025 Jan-Apr Mini Catalogue.

With the various patterns and designs of the DSP I've kept the card fairly simple with the use of the DSP as the card base and then layered a die cut circle and then one of the ready to use die cuts that are also in the Wildflower Birthday DSP pack.

On the inside I've let the beautiful DSP do all the 'talking' with its amazing pattern and beautiful colours. I've added a small Basic White cardstock panel for to write a personal greeting and then used the same ready to use die cut piece that was on the front to keep that continuity. I trimmed this one down so that it only covered a corner of the greeting panel.

Under the die cut circle I added some Pretty in Pink ribbon to hold the card closed. It doesn't necessarily need it to hold the card closed but I thought it was pretty so, why not?

I've finished the card off with some strands of the Online Exclusive Gold Twisted Thread, some of the Wildflower Birthday DSP all purpose designs and some of the super gorgeous Party Dots.

I'm really loving the use of the DSP for the base of the card and it's a fabulous way to use up some of that gorgeous DSP that we all tend to love (hoard) and not cut up. It's also a quick way to create a beautiful card and to let the DSP be the main star of the show, making the card beautiful on the inside as well as the outside. Let's get DSP chopping!

Next up on the hop is the lovely, Kathryn Mangelsdorf. Be sure to give her some CASE-ing the Catty Blog Hop love.

Just Add Ink #736 | Just Add A Touch of Bling

Hello stamping friends. Happy Friday! I hope you are having a wonderful day. I'm here today with the Just Add Ink Design Team for the new Just Add Ink Challenge - Just Add Ink #736 | Just Add a Touch of Bling. This week our theme was chosen by design team member Lou.

I've recently received the Stampin' Up! Wildflower Birthday Suite products in a recent order and was super keen to have a play and create with them. This weeks challenge was the perfect excuse to use them and the best thing is that the DSP and trim from this suite have a little bit of 'bling' in them. Perfect!

My favourite design in the Wildflower Birthday DSP is the Pool Party sheet with the gold scallops so I've used that as the one of the base layers of the card on a base of Basic White. I've then layered some of the Gold Open Weave trim over the DSP for some more bling for our Just Add a Touch of Bling theme. Is there such a thing as too much bling?

Over the base layers I added another piece of the DSP that I thought was a pretty contrast. This sheet of cakes also has some more of that beautiful gold foil. So pretty! I've then layered some of the Spotlight on Nature die cut circles, one die cut in Pool Party with Linen Thread threaded around the edge and then the other one I've die cut in Basic White cardstock.

To finish off the card I've used one of the beautiful ready to use die cuts that comes in the Wildflower DSP, the stamped Happy Birthday from the Birthday Celebration Stamp Set, and some of the super pretty Party Dots.

The products from this suite would have to be my favourite from the Stampin' Up! 2025 Jan - Apr Mini Catalogue. Watch this space for more projects from me using this suite.

I do hope that I've given you some inspiration for our bling challenge. Go and check out the design teams take on this week's challenge at the Just Add Ink Blog and then come and join us for this week's Just Add a Touch of Bling Challenge.

Will you be entering our challenge this week? We would love to see your 'Just Add a Touch of Bling' creation. Click the image below to be taken straight to this week's challenge.
