Stamp to Share International Design Team Blog Hop | Peaceful Noel

Hello there stampers! Welcome to the September Stamp to Share International Design Team Blog Hop. We have a very festive blog hop for you today showcasing the Peaceful Noel Bundle from the Stampin' Up!® 2018 Holiday Catalogue.

If you haven't hopped with us before, Stamp to Share is a monthly blog hop featuring Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from the Stampin' Up! markets around the world. Once a month we feature projects made with one Stampin' Up! bundle to inspire you.

Have you seen the Stampin' Up!® 2018 Holiday Catalogue yet? It's been live for customers to purchase from just over a week now and I think it's AMAZING!!! There is really something for every type of papercrafter in this catalogue and suites and themes to cover every different taste! If you haven't yet seen the catalogue I can get a copy to you (Australian Residents), just contact me, or check out the PDF of the catalogue here.

The Peaceful Noel Bundle/Joyous Noel Suite would have to be my most favourite in the Holiday Catalogue! The DSP in this suite is just beautiful, the Snowflakes and Stars Wire Elements are gorgeous and the Joyous Noel 6" x 6" Glimmer Paper is stunning in the Copper, Merry Merlot, Tranquil Tide colours and they really add an amazing sparkle to any Christmas creation.

Today I've made a card, and because the embellishments on the front stand out quite a bit I also made an Envelope Box to put the card in, using the Envelope Punch Board. This is one of those special Christmas Cards that you have to hand deliver to the recipient, to one of those special people in your life who you make that 'special' Christmas Card for.

I've used Merry Merlot as the card base and then used one of the more subtle patterns from the Joyous Noel 12" x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper. This DSP has gorgeous seasonal designs on one side and beautiful copper foil accents on the other. I was going to use the opposite side of this pattern with the Copper Foil Snowflake accents but it was far too busy with the layers and embellishments that I wanted to use.

On either side of the Noel banner I've layered 5/8" (1.6 Cm) Burlap Ribbon, Merry Merlot & Copper 5/8" (1.6 Cm) Reversible Ribbon, Tranquil Tide Glimmer Paper from the Joyous Noel 6" X 6" Glimmer Paper and then punched with the Sprig Punch, an image from the Peaceful Noel Stamp Set, Copper Metallic Thread and then the Snowflake & Stars Wire Elements. With all that layering it really makes for a very embellished card, thus the need for the Envelope Box.

Even though this is the envelope for the card it can still be 'prettied' up and embellished too. To turn the envelope into a box I followed this You Tube Clip here which shows you how you can turn any envelope into a box for any of your creations using the Envelope Punch Board. You could use the Envelope Box to put in several thinner cards and envelopes and give them as a gift set.

I used Tranquil Tide cardstock for the belly band and then tied a piece of the Braided Linen Trim around the whole box. This linen trim then helps to tie the tag onto the front as well. Again using the stunning Joyful Noel DSP I die cut the second larges Stitched Shape Circle for my tag and then used the Tranquil Tide Glimmer Paper and the Tranquil Tide card stock and punched out some sprigs with the Sprig Punch.

The box with the gorgeous tag is like a gift in itself. How pretty is the Copper Embossing with all of the other Copper elements? So Gorgeous!
