Just Add Ink #425 | Inspiration Picture Challenge

-Hey there stampers and fellow crafters! Welcome to this weeks new challenge over at Just Add Ink. Its a gorgeous inspiration picture, perfect to coincide with the start of Spring here in Australia. Yay! Bring on the warmer weather and sushine!

Its all pinks and greens, and pretty and floral and all round gorgeousness. For my card today I gone with some of the patterns from the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper and then pulled some of the cardstock colours from the DSP.

I've used a sheet of  the Wood Textures 6" x 6" DSP as the base layer of the card and then built the card up from there, layering pieces of cardstock, ribbon, DSP and trim. I've used one of the lighter Wood Textures sheets as I think it teams up nicely with the dark Mossy Meadow and the bright edge of the Petal Promenade DSP peeping through.

I layered a piece of vellum over the Petal Promenade just to tone it down just a little bit and to give the DSP a softer look. The 'branch' die from the Petals & More Thinlits really creates a focal piece layered over the vellum. The Mossy Meadow is a fabulous contrast to the soft look of the vellum and the soft colouring of the wood grain. The layering of the Stitched Labels Circle and the Congratulations from the Petal Palette Stamp Set bring the whole card together.

Check out more inspiration on the Just Add Ink Blog and see what inspired the rest of the design team. Come and play along with the design team, we'd love to see how this weeks inspiration picture inspires you.

  1. This is a stunning wedding card, Rochelle! Your layers are lush and gorgeous and I love the effect of the Mossy leaves over the vellum and soft, pink sentiment. Beautifully done! xx
