Hello stamping friends. Happy Friday! I hope you are having a wonderful day. I'm here today with the Just Add Ink Design Team for the new Just Add Ink Challenge - Just Add Ink #728 | Just Choose Two Challenge. This week our Just Choose Two Challenge has been chosen by team member Di.
Today for our Just Choose Two challenge (to choose two items to feature on your project) we are choosing from Pens, Pencils, and Patterned Paper. I chose Pencils and Patterned Paper to create a colourful Christmas card using the new Stampin' Up! Nature's Paintings Kit.
Have you seen this new kit? This unique kit includes everything you need for a fun creative experience: a colouring book, Watercolor Pencils, and a Water Painter. All you need is some imagination and water! And when you've finished colouring you can use your finished artwork to create a one-of-a-kind card front!
One of the images in the kit is some Poinsettias with some Holly Leaves and Berries and I thought that this image was perfect for today's challenge. Well all of the images from the kit would have been perfect but I still need to make some more Christmas cards, so I went with this image today.
The kit comes with 8 watercolour pencils, and I used the colours that were suggested for the kit but I also added some colour from the Watercolour Pencils Assortment Packs that are found in the Stampin' Up! Annual Cataogue. I added the extra colours to add some more depth to the images and to layer a bit more colour.
I finished the card off with some Linen Thread, Iridescent Pearls, Peaceful Season Dies and the Embossed 'Merry' from the Reindeer Fun Stamp Set.
