CASE-ing the Catty | #CTC484 | CASE the Annual Catalogue

Hello stamping friends. Thank you for joining me on my blog today. I hope that you've had a fantastic week and are having fabulous day!

Today I'm participating in a blog hop for the CASE-ing the Catty Design Team, to kick off the new challenge for the week. If you come here from Kathryn Mangelsdorf's blog welcome, if you've started here with me also welcome.

We are about CASE-ing the samples from the Stampin' Up! Catalogues with a different theme to CASE each week. To CASE is to Copy And Selectively Edit. This week we are CASE-ing any project in the 2024 - 2025 Annual Catalogue.

I was drawn to this gorgeous sample from the Annual catalogue that uses the Cutest Onesie Bundle found on on pg. 64. It's one of those samples that sometimes "If you blink you'll miss it" but I loved the design of it and thought it was perfect to CASE. I thought this little 3"x 3" card/gift tag/ gift card would be perfect to use with some of the new products that I've just recieved in my Sept-Dec Mini Catalogue preorder.

I've created these 4 3"x 3" card/gift tag/ gift cards using the new A Little Bit Festive Specialty Designer Series Paper, the Mix & Match Ephemera, and the Reindeer Days Memories & More Card Pack from the up coming 2024 Sept-Dec Holiday Catalogue. So another sneak peek for you all.
These three products all have similar colours and all work so well when used together. I'm loving these products! They make for fun, easy and quick crafting with your own personal touch.

All four cards have kept the same design as the original sample with the use of the different DSP patterns and the Stylish Shapes circle embossed with the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder (also from the 2024 Sept-Dec Mini Catalogue) and then it was just a matter of changing up the pre-cut pieces to coordinate with the colours in each DSP pattern.

Each card is then finished off with various ribbon, trim and embellishments. I've used some new ones from the new Mini Catalogue like the Pool Party Pompom Ribbon and the Drusy Adhesive-Backed Embellishments and used some trusty old faithful trims like Linen Thread and Black & Very Vanilla Large Check Ribbon from the Annual Catalogue.

I hope I've inspired you with my CASE of an Annual Catalogue sample. Be sure to look at each and every sample in the Annual Catalogue as even the smallest of projects may help you with your creative ideas.

There are lots of AMAZING creations from the rest of the CASE-ing the Catty Crew so be sure to make your way around the whole hop to get inspiration from the CTC team.

Next up on the hop is the lovely Rebecca Scurr with her fabulous creation.

Just Add Ink #716 | Inspiration Picture Challenge

Hello there stamping friends! Happy Friday! Welcome and thanks for joining me on my blog today. Today we over at Just Add Ink have a fabulous inspiration picture challenge -Just Add Ink #716 | Inspiration Picture Challenge.

I felt that the Inspiration Picture for this weeks challenge had a very European/Mediterranean feel and vibe, so for my card today I used the products from the Stampin' Up! Mediterranean Blooms Suite to incorporate that vibe.

I was also drawn to the blue stairs in the inspiration picture and thought that the blues in the Mediterranean Blooms DSP was a perfect choice to go with those blue stairs. I've used this DSP in a few projects and have so far teamed it with Basic White and Night of Navy so this time I wanted to try it with Crumb Cake and Night of Navy and I think it they go quite well together.

I turned the large die from the Citrus Blooms Dies on the side so that it is positioned across the card rather than up and down. It just adds a different look with the die cut and to make it more versatile in it's use. Got to love more versatility in the Stampin' Up! products!

I finished the card off with some die cut circles, the fussy cut lemons, the die cut foliage and flowers, the embossed sentiment, some ribbon and trim, and the Opal Rounds. I love all the layering and different elements for a pretty birthday card. Just an FYI - the Night of Navy Linen Thread comes from the Stampin' Up! 2024 Sept - Dec Mini Catalogue, from the Nests of Winter Suite, available to purchase on 4h Sept 2024.

Go and check out the design teams take on this week's Inspiration Picture Challenge at the Just Add Ink Blog and then come and join us in this week's inspiration picture fun! Can't wait to see what you create!

Global Design Project #459 | #GDP459 | Greenery Challenge

Hi there stamping friends! Thanks for stopping here at my blog. Today I'm playing along with the new challenge over at the Global Design Project #459 | #GDP459 | Greenery Challenge.

This week their theme is Greenery and I've gone for a card with a bit of Christmas Greenery to make my first Christmas card for the season. I've also used some new products from the upcoming Stampin' Up! 2024 Sept-Dec Mini Catalogue so it's a bit of a sneak peek for you too.

Here I've combined some of the new Mix & Match Ephemera from the Mini Catalogue and the Sentimental Christmas DSP. I love the Ephemera from the Annual Catalogue and the Ephemera from the Mini Catalogue is just as amazing!!!

This new DSP reminds me of Christmas images when I was a kid in the cards and wrapping papers. It's very nostalgic. I chose these two designs because they fit with the Greenery theme but I felt they were the ones that coordinated the best with the Ephemera pieces that I chose.

When choosing the Ephemera pieces you want to use it's just a matter of playing around till you are happy with the ones that you have put together. There's no right or wrong when creating with these pieces.

I've layered the DSP with some Basic White cardstock and then layered the Ephemera with the Country Woods DSP. I've finished the card off with some Linen Thread, Black & Very Vanilla Large Check Ribbon, and some Opal Rounds.

I do hope that you enjoy my take on the Global Design Projects Greenery theme and my little Mini Catalogue Sneak Peek.

Thanks so much for stoping by!

CASE-ing the Catty | CTC #483 | CASE the Colours of the To Market DSP

Hello stamping friends. Thank you for joining me on my blog today. I hope that you've had a fantastic week and are having fabulous day!

Today I'm participating in a blog hop for the CASE-ing the Catty Design Team, to kick off the new challenge for the week. If you come here from Michelle Strazds's blog welcome, if you've started here with me also welcome.

We are about CASE-ing the samples from the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue with a different theme to CASE each week. To CASE is to Copy And Selectively Edit. This week we are CASE-ing the colours from the To Market DSP - Blackberry Bliss, Garden Green, Pecan Pie, Pumpkin Pie, and Real Red.

I've not got this DSP only because the DSP/To Market Suite hasn't caught my eye yet. But looking at the DSP now while writing this post I'm really loving the plaid/tartan and woodgrain pattern in the DSP. Might have to add this to my cart while there is still the DSP sale till the August 31st. Got to love 15% off.

While the DSP has 5 gorgeous Stampin' Up! colours in it I've only used four of the colours today for my card for you today - Blackberry Bliss, Garden Green, Pecan Pie, and Real Red. These are colours that I don't use much. I'm a Pretty in Pink, Summer Splash kind of gal so it was nice to change things up a bit and be challenged with colours I don't normally use.

I've used the Labeled with Love Punch Bundle for a layered birthday card. This bundle either comes as a Punch Bundle or Die Bundle to cut the label out. I chose the punch. I find the punches quick and easy and I'm sometimes a lazy crafter and can't be bothered to get up and die cut sometimes (Ha!) so the punch enables me in my lazyness - He, He. For something like labels its punches all the way! What do you prefer punches or dies?

I love the versatility of the this set with the many different images for layered/two-step stamping. I've stamped a few of the images and then fussy cut them for a pretty layered card. I used Blackberry Bliss and Garden Green for the flowers and Real Red for the butterflies.

In addition to the stamped images I've added the die cut leaves from the Country Flowers Dies. These just add that extra depth and layering to the card. I then added the Black & Vanilla Ribbon, the Punched embossed label, the stamped sentiment and some Iridescent Pearls to finish off the card.

I love the pop of these colours against the white and really should try and use them some more. I hope that I've inspired you with my CASE of the colours from the To Market DSP.

There are some amazing creations from the rest of the CASE-ing the Catty Crew so be sure to make your way around the whole hop for the fabulous ideas using these gorgeous colours.

Next up on the hop is Peta Stephen with her fantastic project.

CASE-ing the Catty | CTC#482 | CASE a Shaker Card

Hello stamping friends. Thank you for joining me on my blog today. I hope that you've had a fantastic week and are having fabulous Sunday!

Today I'm participating in a blog hop for the CASE-ing the Catty Design Team, to kick off the new challenge for the week. If you come here from Julia Quinn's blog welcome, if you've started here with me also welcome.

If you've not see us before, we are about CASE-ing the samples from the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue with a different theme to CASE each week. To CASE is to Copy And Selectively Edit. This week we are CASE-ing a Shaker Card from the Annual Catalogue.

I'm actually doing this weeks theme a little bit different, while I love the Shaker Card samples in the Annual Catalogue I was actually drawn more to a sample from the Mediterranean Blooms Suite. SO I've CASE-d that and then turned it into a shaker card. It's still CASE-ing the Catty, right?

How beautiful is this sample from the catalogue?! The Concept Artists always do an amazing job with the catalogue samples and this one is no exception.

I loved the layering of the cardstock and the die-cut piece and that is where I started my card with some new sneak peek products.

I've used the new Nests of Winter Suite from the 2024 Sept-Dec Mini Catalogue that Stampin' Up! demonstrators can currently pre-order from. Got to love those demo perks.

I've layered the foliage die from the Winterly Tree Tops Dies with some window sheets and the Nests of Winter DSP. I've used the foam strips to hold all the layers and then this then creates the 'compartment' to hold the shaker elements. The sequins and pearls are from the retired For Everything Fancy Sequins and were just the right pieces to create the shaker part.

I've layered DSP, die-cuts, stamped images, Natural Tones Linen Thread and the Thanks sentiment for a beautiful cluster of elements for the Nests of Winter Suite a like the original sample but a little bit more. The birds come from one of the sheets of the Nests of Winter DSP and can be cut out with the Wintery Tree Tops Dies. A little less fussy cutting for these beautiful images.

Here's a fun fact - This is the very first ever shaker card that I've made in all of my crafting career and I think I've done pretty well if I do say so myself.

I hope that I've inspired you with my Shaker Card project and my Mini Catalogue Sneak Peek and have encouraged you to also create a shaker card. Give it a go, they make for a fun look!

There are lots of AMAZING creations from the rest of the CASE-ing the Catty Crew so be sure to make your way around the whole hop to get inspiration from the CTC team.

Next up on the hop is the fabulous Peta Stephen with her shaker creation.

Just Add Ink #714 | Colour Challenge

Hello there stamping friends! I hope that you are having a fantastic week and a fabulous day! It's Friday, Yay, and that means it's time for another Just Add Ink Challenge -Just Add Ink #714 | Colour Challenge.

This week it's a very bold colour combination using the colours Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Cherry Cobber, and Pretty Peacock.

Click on the colour to see all the Stampin' Up! products in that colour.

I've created a CAS card for you today to let the colours and the Layers of Beauty Bundle speak for themeselves. With the challenge colours and the floral image from the Layers of Beauty Stamp set being such statement pieces there isn't much else needed to create a fabulous creation.

I've stamped the image with Versamark and then I've used Black Embossing Powder for a textural stamped outline. It's hard to capture in the photo but the black embossing powder shines beautifully in the light and really gives a stepped up look as opposed to stamping with just black ink.

Each of the leaves and flowers only use one colour of ink. As I added each layer with the masks the inks grew darker thus creating the layers of shading. It's really just starting off with the lightest amount of ink on your blending brush and then gradually adding more and more until you are happy with the desired effect of layering.

I've finished the card off with some ribbon, trim and some sequins from the Painted Wishes Kit (that is still avaliable).

I do hope that I've given you some inspiration using our challenge colours. Go and check out the design teams take on this week's colours at the Just Add Ink Blog for some inspiration and then come and join in this week's sketch fun! I can't wait to see what you create.

Funky Folds Blog Hop #6

Hello stamping friends. Thank you for joining me on my blog today. Welcome to Funky Folds Blog Hop #6.

We are a community for like minded paper crafters who love to make cards with funky/fancy/fun folds and to share our ideas. Funky actually means “modern and stylish in an unconventional or striking way”. We are featuring cards that are not your usual rectangle/square portrait of landscape style cards.

Each and every month the blog hops will have and 'anything goes' theme as long as your card has some type of 'funky' fold.

I've made for you today a Spanner Panel Card. Why it's called that I've got no idea! I'd not seen this type of Fun Fold card before until recently and was keen to give it a go. What I love about it is that this type of card looks difficult to make but in fact it is quite simple. All that is required when cutting your card base is 2 extra cuts and you have your base for a Spanner Panel Card. How you layer or embellish your card is up to you as to whether you want a CAS card or one that is a little Stepped Up. I think I went for the Stepped Up version

While the card is closed it looks like a relatively normal, standard card. When you open the card that is where the magic happens. I've used the products from the Unbounded Beauty Suite to create my card today with a Pretty in Pink and Peach Pie colour combo.  I've used layers of the Unbounded Beauty DSP with Pretty in Pink and Peach Pie Cardstock for the side and centre panels and then added some layering of stamped inmages, die-cuts, DSP, twine, and embellishments.

A fabulous feature of this card is how the front panel opens. A 'bridge' is created to hold the outer panels together. You can use a window sheet for the bridge to make it look like your stamping and embellishments are floating or you can use DSP and cardstock for the bridge.

Lift the centre panel of the card to reveal the inside of the card. Here you can add more stamped sentiments and this hidden layer is perfect to add a personalised, hand-written message.

Sometimes Funky/Fancy Fold cards are difficult to send through the post, this one will fit into a regular envelope for you to send a special card to a special friend.

I do hope you like my Funky Fold that I've shared with you today. I really enjoy making these Funky Folds and creating something a little different to a standard card.

Next up on the hop is Tammy Fite with her Funky Fold. I can't wait to see what she has made for us.

If you love to make cards with creative folds and would like to join in with our monthly Funky Folds Blog Hop, you are welcome to head on over to our community group on Facebook HERE to be part of the fun.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Happy stamping!
