Just Add Ink #450 | Just Add Babies

Hello stamping friends! Today for the new Just Add Ink Challenge  - Just Add Ink #450, we are all about babies. Not literally, but projects for babies. Get ready for an overload of cuteness.

My two cards today are for a new baby boy or girl. Using the Stampin' Up! A Little Wild Stamp set and using the Stampin' Up! Water colour pencils for a bit of water colouring. Super cute and super fun

I've incorporated the Stampin' Up! Twinkle, Twinkle Designer Series Paper to accent my cards today. Petal Pink spots for a girl card and Pool Party stars for a boy.

I've used the Stampin' Up! Watercolor Pencils to colour my images, no my two cards today but I coloured them a little differently to what you might think. I didn't colour in the image with the pencil first and then move the colour around with the aqua painter. No, I used the aqua painter to pick up the colour off the pencil lead and then coloured the image with the colour that was on the aqua painter. I just find that the colour blends a lot better that way and you don't get any harsh colouring lines. Also by picking the colour up off the pencil you can control how much colour you put down and it's easier to create a softer colour. Basic Gray for the elephant and Early Espresso for the bear.

To accent the coloured DSP I used the cloud stencil from the Pattern Party Decorative Masks and the white embossing paste for a cute textured background layer and then layered that with some Gray Granite cardstock. The white with the Gray Granite and the little bit of colour is such a gorgeous soft look, perfect for a new baby card.

Accented with the cardstock layers is Silver and Petal Pink Baker's Twine, Silver and Pool Party Baker's Twine and some Iridescent Sequins in the coordinating colours.  All super cute and super gorgeous.

I hope that I've given you some inspiration for this weeks challenge over at Just Add Ink. Head on over to the JAI blog and check out the rest of the Just Add Babies inspiration. While you are there check out all the details on this weeks challenge and then come and join in the Just Add Ink challenge fun.

Paper Adventures Team Blog Hop | Baby & Kids | Guest Designer

Hello there fellow crafters and stampers. Welcome to my little crafty space where I share what I love and love what I share. Today I'm participating in the Paper Adventures Team Hop, theme baby and kids. My beautiful friend Kelly Kent,  in Bunbury, Western Australia, and her fabulous team have invited me to be a guest for their once a month team blog hop and I am so very honoured to join them.

Today I've made two super cute Mini Accordion Zig Zag Baby Albums, one for a boy and the other for a girl, using the super gorgeous , super cute Stampin' Up! Twinkle Twinkle DSP, for the baby and kids theme. This would have to be my favourite DSP from the 2018 - 2019 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. The colours are stunning and the colour combo in the DSP is perfect for baby boy, baby girl or even unisex  (if you don't know what your having) creations. I know blue for boys and pink for girls is very stereotypical but I like it here for my creations today.

There are many tutorials on Pinterest and You Tube on how to make these albums. I followed this one on You Tube for the measurements but made it my own by using different products from the original and designing the look of the album to my look and style.

I started with the Gray Granite cover and then used the Shimmery White Embossing Paste and the cloud stencil from the Pattern Party Decorative Masks. The glitter shimmer in the Embossing Paste just makes the paste all that more pretty and special.

I've embossed  the letters from the Lined Alphabet Photopolymer Stamp Set on the Twinkle, Twinkle DSP and then die cut them out. The letters look so gorgeous embossed on the DSP and it adds to that cute baby look and feel.

I wanted a small 'hello' to go with the large 'baby' letters and after searching high and low through my stamp sets I found one in the Stampin' Up! Tabs for Everything Stamp Set. Stamped in Gray Granite and then layered with some pieces of the Silver & Petal Pink Baker's Twine and the Silver & Pool Party Baker's Twine.

The rest of the photos show the inside of the album (without photo's in it of course). The larger sections in the pages is where the photos go and then there are two pockets pages in the album for some journalling cards to record any memories or milestones.

The inside front left panel is embellished with some die cuts from the Stitched Labels Dies, the heart from the Twinkle, Twinkle DSP,  the heart from the Corrugated Elements and some hearts from the Frames Elements.

This mini album could make the perfect gift for grandparents for a brag book, or if you take out one of the pocket pages and put a photo on the front inside cover you could put a photo for the each month of the first 12 months of the baby's life, or you could change up the look all together and use the album to record your most recent holiday. The possibles are endless.

Thanks so much for hopping with me and the Paper Adventures team today!
Next on the hop is Siobhan Fitzsimmons. Go and see what she has to share! THANK YOU Kelly, so much, for the invite to hop with you and your team!

The Stamp Review Crew | Made with Love Edition

http://stampreviewcrew.blogspot.com/2016/03/stamp-review-crew-made-with-love-edition.html

A big hello and welcome to you today on the next step on the Stamp Review Blog Hop.  This is going to be one cute hop today that's for sure as we are showcasing the Made with Love stamp set. It is found in the 'For Baby' section in the annual catalogue and it is all kinds of cuteness! There are also two Framelits sets that will help you with cutting out some of the images - Baby's First Framelits Dies and Tags & Labels Framelits Dies.

I've used only one image from the set, the super cute little deer,  but I've made two versions of my card a boy card and a girl one and I've had my first attempt at the water colouring technique - No Line Water colouring. This is when you stamp your image in a lighter colour ink and the lines aren't as defined and sometimes they ever look like the disappear. I really love the look of this technique and the softer look that it gives to the images. Perfect for a baby card!

I'm happy with my first attempt but I can see that I still need some more practise. What can I colour in next?? Ha!

The deer image was stamped in Sahara Sand and I stamped it off once first to give it a lighter colour. After stamping it off I re-inked the words again to make sure that they weren't so light. I've then coloured the deer using Aqua painters with Crumb Cake, Blushing Bride and Soft Sky.

I'm looking forward to practicing the No-Line Water colouring technique and moving on to some bigger images.

Now its time to hop on to the ever fabulous Tanya Boser for some more inspiration

Or if you are hopping in reverse head on to the super creative, Adriana Benitez.

Six-Sided Sampler Baby

One of my (many, many) cousins recently welcomed her 3rd baby girl into the world. I've struggled with this card trying to find a baby card that I could make. Spent many hours on Pinterest and searching on Google for the best baby card. After all that searching the idea for today's card just popped into my head all on its own!

It took a little playing around to get the Hexagons in the right order that I wanted but I really like the graduating, almost Ombre like, going from lightest to darkest.

It took me a few goes to get the tag right. Thank goodness for the Stamp-a-ma-jig is all I'll say!

For Emmeline

Yay! I'm an aunty again! There have been 2 babies added to the family in the last month, both being girls. The boys seem to out number the girls on both sides of the family so it is great to add some more girls to each side.

This card is for Emmeline Grace.

I saw this idea somewhere and I can't remember where I saw it but I loved it. It is such a cute idea made from the 'dress' from the Owl builder punch. I love that the Stampin' Up! punches have more than one use. Makes them so versatile and well worth the money!

Thanks For Looking!

Have Fun and Happy Stampin'

For Piper

I have just become an Aunty again for the 10th time! I'm so excited by the new addition to the family but but sad too as they live so far away. The Gold Coast isn't just around the corner from Melbourne. :(

I got my inspiration for my card from the fabulous and talented Teneale Williams. To check out her blog click here.

The card she made was for a baby boy but mine is for Piper Lisa, a beautiful little girl.

The colours I've used for this card are Whisper White, Pool Party, Blushing Bride and Early Espresso. And I've used water colour paper with the pram image from the Baby Bundle set and did some water colouring with an Aqua painter.

I do love to do water colouring, just now need to practice a bit more to perfect my technique.

Have Fun and Happy Stampin'
