Just Add Ink #663 | Just Choose Two Challenge

I'm here today to bring you my card for the NEW challenge we have over at Just Add Ink Challenges - Just Add Ink #663 - Just Choose Two Challenge

Today for our Just Choose Two challenge (to choose two items to feature on your project) we are choosing between Flowers, Gingham and Splatters. I do love me a Just Choose Two Challenge and this one is no exception. I think they are my equal favourite with a Sketch Challenge. I can't decide which I like more.

I chose flowers, of course, with the flowers from the Sending Smiles Stamp Set. I've had this set for a long time and haven't inked it up until now. I've used the new Boho Blue In Color for the petals and used the trusty, old faithful Old Olive for the flower leaves and stems.

The other element I chose for my card today was Splatters and I'm going to say its a very subtle splatter. I used Crumb Cake for the card base and then layered over that another Crumb Cake layer die cut with the Dots & Spots die. Over that then I flicked the brush tip end of a Crumb Cake Stampin' Write Marker to create my splatters. I love the tone on tone look with using the same ink as your cardstock to create beautiful, subtle, less is more look.

The 'Sending' was also stamped in Boho Blue Ink and that is layered on some Boho Blue Textured Ribbon and finished off with the 'Birthday Wishes' White Embossed on Boho Blue cardstock, some linen thread and some Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels.

There are lots of AMAZING creations from the rest of the Just Add Ink Design Team on the JAI Blog. Go and check out to see what 'two' elements they all used this week and then while you are there you can see how you can enter your project. Can't wait to see what 'two' you used.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Just Add Ink #661 | Inspiration Picture Challenge

Hi stamping friends! Happy Friday! Welcome and thanks for joining me on my blog today. Today we over at Just Add Ink have a fabulous inspiration picture challenge with a Christmas in July feel - Just Add Ink #661 | Inspiration Picture Challenge.

While when looking at our inspiration picture you automatically get the Christmas feels, I was actually inspired by other elements in the picture.

As you can see from my card it has nothing to do with Christmas but I was inspired by the circles from the shape of the wreath, the greenery in the wreath and then the leaves and foliage to create my card today.

I've used the amazing products from the Stampin' Up! Masterfully Made Suite that is in the current annual catalogue. I have to admit that when I first saw this suite in the catalogue I really didn't think much of it but I purchased it because I liked some of the designs in the DSP. When I got the products home well that was a different story and I think these products are now the ones that I will have to use on all my next creations.

I kept the colours the same as what is in the floral DSP - Pretty Peacock, Berry Burst and Fresh Fresia (amazing colour combo by the way). The Basic White layer I stamped off one of the Gorgeously Made Stamps in Berry Burst and then layered some Pretty Peacock cardstock and some of the Masterfully Made DSP.

The circle die cut has been layered with on of the dies from the Gorgeously Made Dies for some added texture and then layered some strips of DSP, some Gorgeously Made Die cuts, some linen thread and then the Happy Birthday Sentiment from the Artistically Inked Stamp Set. I've then finished off the card with some of the sequins from the  Adhesive-Backed Sequin Trio.

The Just Add Ink Design Team have lots of amazing creations for you and to show you what inspired them. You'll be surprised at all the different projects we came up with. We hope that you'll join in this weeks challenge. I can't wait to see you join in and to see what has inspired you this week.
