CASE-ing the Catty | CTC#477 | CASE the Colours of the Wildy Flowering DSP

Hello stamping friends. Thank you for joining me on my blog today. I hope that you've had a fantastic week and are having fabulous Sunday!

Today I'm participating in a blog hop for the CASE-ing the Catty Design Team, to kick off the new challenge for the week. If you've come here from Peta Stephens blog welcome, if you've started here with me also welcome.

We are about CASE-ing the samples from the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue with a different theme to CASE each week. To CASE is to Copy And Selectively Edit. This week we are CASE-ing the colours from the stunning Wildly Flowering DSP found in the 2024 - 2025 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue.

Click on the colour to find Stampin' Up! products in that colour.

Isn't the DSP gorgeous?! It hasn't really caught my eye until recently and I've just ordered it myself. Can't wait for it to arrive so I can cut it up and get creating with it.

While the DSP has 7 beautiful Stampin' Up! colours in it I've only used four of the colours today for my card for you today - Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Mossy Meadow, and Moody Mauve. I've not used Moody Mauve much so it was nice to be challenged to use a colour that I don't normally use.

Today I've used the Stampin' Up! Online Exclusive Simply Zinnia Bundle for some Stampin' Blends Colouring. To colour the Zinnia Flowers I used Dark Blackberry Bliss and then Light and Dard Moody Mauve. I tested a few other colour combinations with the Stampin' Blends Markers but this was the best combination to get the graduation of colour that I was after, going from dark to light. I find adding that 3rd or sometimes 4th colour when colouring with the Blends gets a better depth of colour.

The base of the card I've layered Early Espresso, Moody Mauve, Country Woods DSP and some Basic White. On the Basic White panel I did clear emboss the Zinnia flower over the panel but it's hard to see in the photo. The embossing gives a pretty sheen over the white panel.

I layered the Zinnia flowers on two Spotlight in Natrure circle die cuts and then I've finished the card off with some linen thread, Early Espresso splatters, Iridescent Pearls and a Moody Mavue Happy Birthday.

I hope that I've inspired you with my CASE of the Wildly Flowering DSP. I love the moody vibe of these colours together.

There are lots of AMAZING creations from the rest of the CASE-ing the Catty Crew so be sure to make your way around the whole hop to get inspiration from the CTC team.

Next up on the hop is the fabulous Andrea Sargent with her fantastic creation.
