Just Add Ink #747 | Inspiration Picture Challenge

Hello there stamping friends! Happy Friday! Welcome and thanks for joining me on my blog today. Today we over at Just Add Ink have a fabulous inspiration picture challenge - Just Add Ink #747 | Inspiration Picture Challenge.

This week our insipration picutre is all about yellows and greys. I don't normally use a lot of yellows so this Inspiration Picture was a challenge for me too.

Today I've made a clean and simple (CAS) card for you all and I've incorporated some new products that will be part of the May Online Exlusive release.

I'm using today products from the Floral Impressions Suite. This suite includes the Impressions Abloom Stamp Set, Impressions Abloom Dies, Pressed Flowers Embossing Folder, Floral Impressions 12" x 12" DSP, Strawberry Slush & Pretty in Pink Gems, and the Foiled Frames & Emphemera Pack. As the name of this suite suggests its all about flowers. Yay! My favourite.

I've started the card with a Basic White card base and then layered on that some more Basic White layers which I've also embossed with the super pretty Pressed Flowers Embossing folder. Here I've also used the dies to create some beautiful Daffodil Delight flowers with some Garden Green leaves. The background oval piece is also cut using the same die set.

I've accented the flowers with some Black & Very Vanilla Check ribbon and some Linen Thread. I've then finished off the card with an embossed Thank You sentiment and some of the gems that are part of the Floral Impressions Suite. While I've not used much grey in my card I was certainly inspired by all the yellow in our inspiration picture.

Online Exclusive On The Go Suite | April | 2025 Artisan Design Team Monthly Project

Hello stamping friends. This month Group 2 from the Stampin' Up!® 2025 Artisan Design Team have been creating with the March 2025 Online Exclusive On the Go Suite.

We were asked to create two projects with the suite, using all the products from the suite and to only use the colors that are featured in this suite. Combine your love of travel with your love of crafting when creating with this suite. The travel theme in this suite is great for card makers and scrapbookers alike.

The suite includes
- Tags to go Stamp Set
- Tags to Go Dies
- On the Go 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- On the Go Puffy Stickers
- Pack Your Bags Twine - 3 Pack
- Suitcase Treat Boxes
Product Colours - Azure Afternoon, Basic Black, Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Shy Shamrock, and Returning In Colour - Strawberry Slush

Today I've gone back again to my papercrafting roots with a scrapbooking page and then a layered card as well. FYI - I was a scrapbooker before I was a card maker. I still love scrapbooking but they tend to take me quite a while to make, once I discovered cardmaking I loved how quick a card could be made and finished as opposed to a scrapbook that I could deliberate over for days till I was happy with the final outcome.

I've made a couple of scrapbook pages of a huge road trip that we took when my kids were little and it has inspired me to do the whole album. There are lots of photos! So watch this space for some more pages throughout this year of our road trip from Melbourne to Perth.

These photos are part of that road trip before we left home. I've started with a White Willow 12" x 12" cardstock base and then layered some torn On the Go DSP over top. I've then pierced some holes with the Take Your Pick tool so that I could stitch some of the Pack Your Bags Twine. I split the twine down to just two threads rather than using the whole strand of twine as it would have been too thick to stitch with that way.

After that it was just a matter of layering the photos and then playing around with the placement of the photos and the die-cuts, stamped pieces, embellishments, DSP pieces, and twine until I was happy with the final look. Some things I put on and then took off and then put on again. So its a whole process and that is why it takes me quite a while to produce a scrapbook page. I do love it though.

For my card I layered Basic White for the card base and then this provided a beautiful contrast to the bright cardstock and the DSP pieces. I layered some of the geometric DSP patterns wiht some of the images from the DSP that I fussy cut. I've then finished the card off with some of the Puffy stickers, some Pack Your Bags Twine, and some die-cut heart shapes.

I hope that I've given you some inspiration using this suite and some ideas for your next travel themed projects. Make sure you check out my post for this suite on Instagram HERE as group two have an Instagram Hop and you will be able to see the rest of the teams creations.

Just Add Ink #745 | Colour Challenge

Hello stamping friends. Happy Friday! I hope you are having a wonderful day. I'm here today with the Just Add Ink Design Team for the new Just Add Ink Challenge - Just Add Ink #745 |  Colour Challenge. This week our challenge has been chosen by Just Add Ink Design Team Member Kim.

This week we have a little bit of a different colour combination for you. We have Petunia Pop, Balmy Blue, Soft Sea Foam, and Smoky Slate. Petunia Pop is quite a bright colour and the others are quite soft and subtle. Let's see what we can do with these.

I'm using some new Stampin' Up! products that will be available for customer to purchase on 6th May 2025. Aren't they just 'lovely'? 😊 The oval dies are from the Impressions Abloom Dies that will be an online exclusive product in May and then the die cut flowers, leaves and the sentiment are from the Pretty Florals Bundle and the Sweet Blooms Bundle and these two bundles are from the Florals in Bloom Suite Collection. Lots of new and gorgeous products!

I've used the Smoky Slate as the card base. I've strayed away from the Basic White card base as I was trying to incorporate as much of the challenge colours as possible. I've added a layer embossed with the Mini Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder. Fun tip with this embossing folder - cut your piece of cardstock bigger than you need, emboss with the Mini Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder and then cut your piece of cardstock to the right size.

I've then added the oval panel also cut in Smoky Slate and then I've added some Smoky Slate splatters over both of these layers.

Due to the Petunia Pop colour being quite intense and bright compared to the other colours I watered down some Petunia Pop ink and then added a watercolour wash on some Fluid 100 Watercolour Paper. This gave me a softer look to the colour and made it more inline with the other colours. I also made the leaves using Soft Sea Foam in the same way but this time trying not to water the colour down too much so that it could stay as dark as possible.

I've then added the sentiment with the 'it's a' and 'day' heat embossed on Balmy Blue and then I've layered 'lovely' die with Basic White and Balmy Blue.

I've finished the card off with some Linen Thread and some Iridescent Pearls. Simple but pretty.

I do hope that I've inspired you with the colours for our colour challenge. Go and check out the design teams take on this week's colour challenge at the Just Add Ink Blog and then come and join us for this week's colour fun.
