CASE-ing the Catty | #CTC510 | CASE March Online Exclusives

Hello Stamping Friends. Welcome to a super exciting CASE-ing the Catty Blog Hop. We at CASE-ing the Catty are about CASE-ing the samples from the Stampin' Up! Catalogues (Catty) with a different theme to CASE each week. To CASE is to Copy and Selectively Edit.

If you've come from Rachel Palmieri's blog welcome, if you've started here with me also welcome. It's so good to have you here.

This week we are CASE-ing projects from the Stampin' Up! March Online Exclusive Release. The online exclusive products are as their name suggests Online only. There is no fixed end-date for these products. Some products are re-orded when the Inventory is low but others are only available while stocks last.

With all the AMAZING products that were released with the March Online Exclusive Release there also came AMAZING creative samples to show off these fantastic products. I was inspired by a small little tag created using the Textured Notes Dies. Its the bottom one on the left using the Basic Black, Pretty Peacock, and Crumb Cake colour combination. I loved the colour combo and the layout of the tag so I used those elements to create a card using the Memorable Blooms Bundle.

I've used Pretty Peacock as the card base and base layers to keep with the colour combination of the original sample. I've used the new Mini Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder as one of the layers and 'roughed' up the edges a little by scraping the sharp edge of the Paper Snips across the edge of the cardstock.

On some Thick Basic White Cardstock I used the floral image and Basic Grey ink and stamped it all over the cardstock. I originally thought the DSP used in the sample was Basic Grey but on further inspection realised it was Basic Black after I'd made my card. I personally like the Basic Grey better. It gives a softer look as opposed to the Basic Black that can sometimes look a little harsh.

Over the stamped image I sponged some Pretty Peacock Ink using a Blending Brush to give a similar look to the original sample. I've also added some ink splatters.

To finish off the card I've added some Linen Thread and Black & Very Vanilla Ribbon, a Stylish Shapes circle, some of the stamped images coloured with Stampin' Blends, a stamped sentiment from the Memorable Blooms Stamp Set and some gorgeous Opal Rounds.

I know I've said it a few times when CASE-ing the Catty but the samples either online or in the catalogues are a fantastic tool to help you get creating especially if you are in a creative slump. They really help to get the ideas flowing. Use them to to either CASE the samples as is or do what I've done here today and use what products you have and change it up a little to suit what products you've got.

Next up on the hop is the lovely, Monique Fielder. Be sure to give her some CASE-ing the Catty Blog Hop love.

Just Add Ink #741 | Just Add Simple and Elegant

Hello stamping friends. Happy Friday! I hope you are having a wonderful day. I'm here today with the Just Add Ink Design Team for the new Just Add Ink Challenge - Just Add Ink #741 | Just Add Simple & Elegant. This week our challenge was suggested by Just Add Ink Design Team member Lou Kitelman.

I've used the Heirloom Arrangements Kit for my Simple & Elegant card today. I've tried to do simple as best as I could but when I paired back the layers the card just didn't look right. So I've pulled back all the ribbon and embellishments that I like to use for a simple (with a few layers) & elegant look.

I've gone a bit rogue with the kit and cut up one of the 'pink' printed card bases to use as a 'cardstock' layer. Because these cards are cut to a U.S. sized card I opened one up and then cut it to an Australian sized card base. If you look real closely at the pink layer you can see the fold from the original card but with the printing on the card base it blends in. I also cut up some of the tags, die cut pieces and the printed envelopes to use on the Perennial Postage die cut pieces. These elements had to have similar colourings so that they would coordinate on the front of the card.

I finished the card off with some of the other printed and die cut pieces from the Heirloom Arrangements Kit, the stamped Happy Birthday from the Delightful Wishes Stamp set, and a few Iridescent Pearls to add to the elegant look.

Artisan Extra | Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Creative Project

Hello stamping friends. Today I'm sharing my first 'Creative Project' for the 2025 Artisan Design Team. Through out an Artisans year they have to contribute 3 - 4 Creative Projects that are uploaded to the Stampin' Up! Facebook and Instagram social pages.

These creative projects are projects that feature new, never-before-seen content and that also have the 'WOW' factor.

This time for my Creative Project I've created a scrapbook page using the Friends of the Ocean Suite. I chose this suite because as I've mentioned before 'it's my favourite', it also went perfectly with the photo that I used and my photo went perfectly with the suite products.

I originally started my papercrafting journey as a scrapbooker and I really enjoyed creating this page for my Creative Project. Maybe I'll get back to my original papercrafting roots and showcase more scrapbooking.
